Maybelline Walter POV
I felt so exhausted after a long ride to the company. We were stuck in a traffic jam for a few minutes before we were able to make it out.
"Are you ok? Do you want to go to the hospital?" I was stunned when Miles asked with concern written all over him just because I groaned tiredly.
"I'm fine," I managed to reply to him.
"What are you going to do now that you don't have a secretary anymore? I can still take..."
"We agreed that you won't be working while we are married, so don't think of that..." He paused, then looked up from his desktop to me.
"I will do something about it in a few days. The work is not difficult for me to handle," I slowly nodded and turned my face away.
My phone beeped, and I checked to see a text from Lily.
'Are you there?'
