Chapter18

SELENA I handed her over to JK like a piece of trash, my heart thumping with a mix of malice and hatred "Apart from stripping her clothes off, don't do anything to her," I ordered, trying to sound firm. Even with my deep hatred for her, I couldn't push things too far. If Logan somehow traced this back to me, the fallout would be ruinous, and I couldn't stomach the thought of him hating me forever. All I wanted was for the two of them to be caught in a compromising position. It needed to be utterly humiliating for her. I knew Logan's triggers perfectly; he absolutely loathed infidelity. If he loved you, he demands total ownership of your entire being. JK gave a quiet nod, roughly settling her into a chair. "Please, you don't have to do this," she whispered, her voice trembling with terror, but pity was the last thing on my mind. I walked away without a backward glance. My heels clicked sharply against the tiles before I slammed the door shut behind me. Navigating the building, I demanded directions to Logan’s office from the staff. I ignored the judgmental glances thrown my way. They were clearly sizing up my revealing clothes, but their opinions meant nothing to me. My mission was more important to me. When I finally reached his door, I gave a single, sharp knock. His muffled voice told me to enter, so I turned the knob and stepped inside. The brief moment his eyes met mine, he instantly looked back down at his desk, completely dismissing my presence as if I were invisible. ~Playing hard to get,~ I thought, letting out a quiet scoff. I had no intention of letting him off easy; my trap was already set. "Ace," I called out, letting a soft, familiar tone coat his name. He jerked his head up, his glare icy. "Don't make me hate my name. Stop calling me that," he snapped, frustration bleeding through his voice. A wave of shock hit me. The harshness of his rejection caught me off guard, but I forced myself to stay grounded. I wasn't going to back down now. "What do you want?" his tone was filled with pure hostility, treating me like a total stranger. "An email was sent out to every business partner. There was absolutely no reason for you to show up here." "I came to see you," I murmured, stepping closer. I reached out to touch his arm, but he swatted my hand away with a sharp smack. The rejection stung worse than the physical pain, but I forced myself to swallow the hurt. "I miss us," I added, lowering my voice into a desperate, pitiful whine. Logan ran his fingers through his hair, visibly agitated. When he stood up, a surge of hope hit me, thinking he was coming toward me. I quickly sat on the edge of the desk, parting my legs just enough to give him a clear glimpse of my blue panties. Instead of moving closer, he retreated a step, leaning heavily against his office chair. "Why are you doing this, Selena? When are you going to sign the papers?" He gritted his teeth, his jaw tight with resentment. "I am sick of lying to my woman. When is this madness going to stop?" My stomach dropped. A toxic wave of jealousy surged from my chest straight to my throat, suffocating me so intensely that I forgot how to breathe. "Your woman?" I whispered, my voice cracking under the weight of the realization. He truly wanted nothing to do with me anymore. Still, the desperation inside me refused to surrender. Men are easily ruled by their desires. I convinced myself that once he looked at my body, his self-control would crumble, erasing any thought of his precious new relationship. "I'll sign them, I will even forget about the 70% shares too," I promised, adopting a seductive pout. "But I want us to have s*x one last time. After that, I swear I'll leave your life for good." It was a complete lie, a calculated trap. If he fell for it, it would be his absolute ruin. I would use it to shatter his romance and blackmail him until I got everything I wanted. "Are you completely out of your mind?" he demanded, his voice laced with disbelief. ~Still playing tough,~ I thought, ignoring his dark glare. Determined to break him, I placed my legs onto his desk, propping my heels right on the table. I watched his face closely, trying to check if the sudden tension in his eyes was arousal or disgust. Pushing the boundaries further, I slid my panties aside and began to touch myself right in front of him. "Look at how much I want you. Just come and take it one last time, Logan," I urged shamelessly, putting my body on full display. "Look at how wet this p***y is." When he took a step forward, my heart pounded against my ribs in wild anticipation. Triumph washed over me; I felt completely in control. ~To hell with you, Allison,~ I cursed silently. He looked down at me, his eyes dropping to where my fingers were moving, and then he spat right onto the floor. Shock paralyzed me as he lunged forward, grabbed my knees, and forced my legs shut. "Just when I thought you couldn't sink any lower," he muttered, his face twisting with absolute irritation as he stepped back from me. "This is disgusting." He pointed between my legs. Shame burned through me as I scrambled off the desk. A deep sense of humiliation took over, making me wish the floor would split open and swallow me whole. I suddenly realized I wasn't in control. "Logan." I choked out, my voice barely audible. "Get this through your head, Selena. My body belongs to one woman only. I will remain faithful to her until my very last breath," he declared and he meant every word. Trying to mask my devastation, I forced a bitter laugh and crossed my arms, preparing to mock him. "You certainly never spoke to me like this when we were together. So, are you saying you'd choose death over touching anyone else?" I paused, desperately hoping for a flicker of hesitation in his eyes. Instead, his gaze remained fiercely steady. "Yes. I would literally stop breathing before I ever touch a woman who isn't Allison." Those words completely shattered my defensive smirk. A dark, vicious regret crept into my mind; I suddenly wished I had ordered JK to fully have fun with Allison. I wondered how Logan's fierce loyalty would hold up if he found out what was happening to her right now. Before I could even think, he grabbed my wrist tightly and started dragging me toward the door. "Unlike you, some of us actually have work to do," he growled, dragging me along without any regard for whether he was hurting me. "Consider this your final warning. Stay away from me and Allison. Now get out." He shoved me into the hallway and tried to slam the door in my face, but I thrust my foot in the way to stop it. "You might be blindly loyal to her, but are you sure your precious partner feels the same way about you?" I taunted, trying to pierce his armor. To my frustration, he didn't even flinch. "I was her first, Selena. Your mind games won't work here." ~He met her as a virgin?~ Anger flared hot in my chest, and my hands balled into tight fists at the revelation. "People change, Logan. Maybe she’s just waiting for you to pave the way for her so she can be with other men," I kept pressing, but he was completely tuned out, focused solely on ejecting me from his space. "Keep this up and I'm calling security to throw you out," he threatened coldly. A dark smile crept back onto my face. "There’s no need for that. But tell me, how about we take a little walk down to her office right now, and see exactly what she's up to?"
