Andrea's POV
Pain. That was the first thing I felt. Every part of me was hot and burning. Searing pain crawled up my spine and I whimpered , unable to keep it in.
What was happening? Meeting the moon goddess shouldn't hurt this much but it did. I couldn't move my body for a while so all I heard was chaos. There was yelling, people arguing and then silence.
The burning pain stopped and I blacked out.
This is just the beginning, a voice whispered. My eyes snapped open, I sucked in air, in grey gulps as if I had been suffocating. My eyes barely focused on the ceiling above me before quickly moving around the room.
Alpha Garret didn't like it when I remained idle.
“Relax, love,”
I turned my head in the direction of the sound and gasped when my eyes fell on a golden-eyed man, sitting beside the bed. He was tall and huge and I remembered seeing him before I passed out.
He was one of the Alphas who had attended the feasts. He had to be.
Why was he in this room? Was I in his bed? I sat up quickly, eyes wide, ignoring the pain that travelled up my spine.
“Who … why am I here?”
It wasn't the golden eyed Alpha who replied. Another man spoke up. He stood by the door and looked exactly like the man sitting beside me.
Twins?
He was also an Alpha, I could feel his powerful aura all the way here. They both had dark long locks but different eye colours. His icy grey eyes settled on me but they felt somehow gentle.
“You're here,” He said, “Because that pathetic bastard dared lay his hand on you.”
“Mate,” Sapphire purred again, louder and clearer this time. I had been sure I imagined it before I fainted, but now, there was no mistake.
Which one among them was my mate?
“I…” My throat burned as I looked away from the intense men standing before me and stared around the place. “Where am I?”
“You’re still in Garret’s packhouse,” The man with the golden eyes told me, reaching a hand to touch mine.
I flinched, pulling away from him. His gaze darkened and I could feel the anger radiating off him.
“But you’re not in his control anymore, I promise.”
“No,” I whispered, panicking. If I was still in the pack house, that meant Garret was going to punish me when he found me. He was a blood thirsty beast and he-
“She's shaking like a f*****g leaf! I'll kill that bastard. He did something to her!” The silver eyed man by the door gritted, slamming his fist in the wall. I jumped at the sound, tears slipping down the corner of my eyes. “s**t, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to make you cry,”
“Ignore my brother, he has no idea how to control his emotions,” The golden eyed man who was rather gentle and soft with me replied.
“Ha! That's rich coming from you, Ronan. If anyone is the king of not being able to control emotions-”
“Are you going to keep yelling, Kael, or are you going to calm down?” Ronan asked his brother.
I could see why they were brothers. They looked incredibly alike. But I could also sense a bit of unease between them.
What does it matter, the voice in my head yelled. If Alpha Garret finds me here with his guests, I would be in much more trouble.
“Please,” I murmured, trying to get out of bed. “I have chores to do and-”
Ronan’s golden eyes darkened, flickering with something in them that made me swallow. “He makes you do chores?”
“We should have broken his d**k along with his hands,” Kael mumbled, looking furious.
“What?” I squeaked, blinking rapidly.
Ronan's large hands covered mine and gently squeezed it. “He won't be laying a hand on you ever. We're here now.”
That was the thing. I was much more confused. My wolf kept calling out the word ‘Mate’ but which one of the brothers was I mated to? They both looked angry and furious, I didn't know what to do so I just sat there on the bed, squeezing my hands together.
The door slammed open and a bleeding Garret stormed in, looking furious and mad while breathing heavily.
“Oh look, he's still alive,” Ronan smiled beside me and it was such a chilling smile, it made me shudder.
“You cannot take her away!” Garret spat, shaking with rage. “She's mine.”
Kael pinned him against the wall. “You lost the right to claim anything when you beat her.”
“She’s a slave. She’s nothing but filth!”
His words hit me like knives. Tears rolled down my cheeks before I could stop them.
“Are you going to kill him, Kael? Or are you too f*****g soft to end it?” Ronan hissed beside me, scooping me into his arms. I squealed, blushing furiously as he carried me bridal style towards the door.
He stopped where Kael had Garret pinned against the wall.
“You touch her again,” he said softly, “and I’ll break every bone in your body. Then I’ll make you heal… and do it again.”
I stared, stunned. None of this made sense.
“Why?” I croaked. “Why are you doing this for me?”
Kael turned toward me slowly, his lips parted. “Because you’re mine.”
Ronan grunted. “I believe she's mine, Kael.”
Kael dropped Garrett to the ground and glared at Ronan. “There's no way your pack is suitable to take care of her. I found her first. She's mine.”
My head swam with this news. “No,” I whispered, shaking my head. “That’s not possible. Wolves don’t share mates-”
A blinding, burning pain stabbed through my chest, cutting me off. I screamed, clutching at my ribs in pain.
“What's wrong? What's happening? Where does it hurt?” Ronan asked.
“What's that?!” I heard Kael yell and gasped when I glanced down at my arm.
There was a burning scar on my arm, the shape of three rings, interlocked with each other, marking my skin. I had no idea what it meant, I had never seen it before but when I looked up at the faces of my mates, they looked terrified.
“W-What's happening to me?”
