CHAPTER 1 SCARLET
I stared in awe as Alex walked past me with his so called mate wrapped around his neck. He claimed to have seen her in the woods when he went for his morning run.
The whole pack were gathered at the pack house staring at the duo, while i was pushed to a corner stunned .
Alex had found his mate,after 10 years of searching, he was a new alpha who took over from his father 5 years ago, our pack the Blue crescent pack was a small one with over 2 thousand men, but what made our pack really strong was our alliances with other packs, my fathers pack the Black blood pack was a very good source of back up for the Blue crescent pack, his pack is a combination of both humans and werewolves, our kingdom offered shelter to the humans,werewolves and even witches, but the alliance won't last for long, that i am very sure of.
I pushed myself past the crowd into the pack house, i was Alex's girlfriend of over 2 years, how did he think i would let him go because of some stupid mate bond. I headed towards the stairs knowing fully well that they would be in his room. I got to the top of the stairs to find gaurds blocking my path.
Get the hell away from my path i said with my alpha tone the two gaurds looked at each other stunned, they had never heard me talk like this, i was always the good pretty girlfriend or luna as they would call me, but i didn't have time to be pretty or quite,they were giving each other contemplating looks whether to leave or stay, sorry, we cant let you in, the alpha has commanded that no one should come up here. They didn't use my title, f**k.
The more i stood here, the more annoyed i was, i needed to know what the two of them were up to in "our" room.
I shoved past the guards with so much force, almost twisting my wrist, i stumbled on my feet before composing my self and rushing towards the other flights of stairs, i got to the top of the stairs only to find maids taking out my bags from our room, i pushed past them into the room, the room was painted ash and burgundy, with wide frames covering half of the wall, the bed was centred in the middle of the room, a small pink plush couch beside the window, my favourite place in the room, the bathroom at the far end of the room, a small balcony close to the window where i grew flowers. Alex was seated on my couch with his mate still clinging onto him like a snake wrapped around a twig, i cant belive i actually called her his mate, barf. I walked towards them calmly, the opposite of what i was feeling inside, slightly bumping into the maid holding a bag containing my shores, i stood face to face with Alex, he was staring at the bruises on his mate, with affection?
Alex, my voice wavering a little, he looked up at me, a look of embarrassment and pity flashing through his eyes,but it disappeared immediately, like it was never there, replacing it with a stoic expression, the one he always had when he was having a meeting with the elders .
I am sorry Scarlet, but you have to leave. what do you mean leave, the anger now evident in my voice, you know you shouldn't be here, really? i said in a roar, i was as shocked as he was at my sudden outburst, that's not what i mean, like you shouldn't be in here, i don't want her to have a lot of people around her when she wakes up, she was in a very bad state when i met her, you should understand. My mouth was hanging wide open on my jaw, i can't believe what you just said alex, we have been dating for 2 years, we will talk about this later, please, he said with pleading eyes. The girl looked like she was going to wake up, alex if i walk out of here without you following me, this relationship is over,i took two steps back before turning to face the door, i was half way across the room when i stopped abruptly to tell him, you know what this means right, i said almost in audibly, i knew he could hear me, his silence was a good enough response, i stormed out of the room slaming the door in hopes that it would actually fall, i smiled when i heard him wince from the other side of the door, but the smile didn't last for long.
