CHAPTER 3 TORAK

569 Words
I ran quickly, my paws digging into the soft snow, i was almost at the border of the black blood pack, my men were following closely behind me, they knew not to get too close, though i would never intentionally hurt them, the same doesn't go for grey. whenever i let my wolf out, things always got bloody. I hardly let him out, so whenever he got the opportunity, he would always cause havoc. Grey ran like our life depended on it, well technically it does, though i am the supreme alpha, there are somethings i can't control, like the rogue wolves kidnapping cubs, and dropping their dead bodies by the city gates, the kidnapping has been occurring quite often these days, that's why i have to make this drastic choice of going to the black blood pack. The most powerful pack after mine. We got to the city gates earlier than expected, the guards at the gate immediately let us in, noticing the stamp on greys shoulder. The palace was huge, almost as large as the pack house back home, this place looked like it was taken out of a drawing, the brick walls were grey and old, but still stood strong, flower patches covered most of the roofs, small towers centred at the side of the building, i am guessing those are watch towers for the gaurds. The king, Alpha Stanley stood at the entrance of the tower to welcome us, i changed into my human form once i got to the entrance of the palace, his expression changed, it was a quick one, but i noticed it, i am guessing he hasn't seen a man in his full glory before, i could hear grey laughing at my joke. My men brought my pants and shore, i put it on quite fast, i needed to get down to business, my men looked stunned, i never wore my clothes myself, but i didn't have time for that now. Alpha Stanley, i said with a small smile on my lips, i gestured for a handshake, but he quickly pulled me into a hug, how are you my boy, his gruff voice very close to my ear, sending little shivers down my spine, i am doing well uncle, you have grown so much, have you found your mate yet, he said releasing me from his bear hug, not yet uncle, Alpha Stanley was my fathers best friend, they both fought in the previous war side by side, but only he made it out alive. I pushed the thought to the back of my head, i didn't want to think of my late father now, lets go in boy, we have a lot to discuss, he said, pulling me out of my thoughts. We got into the castle, it looked warm and cozy, everything felt warm and homely. We climbed the spiral stairs which had two hallways, we headed towards the left hallway, we got to a large brown double door, which had two gaurds stationed in front of it, let your men get some rest while we discuss business, i turned around and signalled for my men to leave, they looked reluctant at first, but they eventually bowed and left, with one of the gaurds leading the way. The door was opened by the other gaurd, and i walked in, a little nervous for the first time in a long time.
