CRITICAL MISSION : CAPTURE THE VILLAINESS' HEART CHAPTER 30 Mission 30 : Hear the Princess' Pleas HE WENT STRAIGHT inside the building and was greeted by a staff. He was told to take the way to the backstage. But he doubted because the staff has no ID, yet he knows him. And the hallway was too silent, which made him doubted more. Not long after, something hard hit the back of his head. His visions started to be blurry. Until his sight turned to darkness. Few minutes, when he woke up, he heard a slutty voice that he just heard a while ago. "Throw him off the cliff," she ordered. He wanted to move. But his hands and feet were tied. He still feels dizzy. Two men carried him and swing him away. He felt the water splashed on his body. It feels like he was bumped by a car. His body was slowly devoured by the body of water. He can't swim with those tied limbs. He knows, he'll die down there. GREY GASPED, as if he really is running out of breath. He opened his eyes and found out he was still alive. He was safe and alive. "You're finally awake?" asked the captain who was sitting beside him. He moved his head up straight. He just found out he slept on her shoulders. His eye roamed around and saw they were inside a running carriage. The commander and tge princess sat across them. The princess was lying her head on the commander' s lap. While Rojjan carefully brushed her hair and tap her shoulders just to keep her asleep. He still could not believe that those two were siblings. The Commander was the prince him self who let go of his throne and title for the sake of the kingdom. These two brothers and sisters were admirable for their determination in finding peace for their dear land of Enchantria. They are both willing to sacrifice or give up something for that. The commander gave up his Prince title while the princess is risking her health and life just to cure those men who were fighting for the kingdom. That is why the commander have his powers just as the first time they met. AS HE RESURFACED the water, a new world has come before his eyes. It was already morning. But he clearly remembered it was night. The sun is shining brightly and gives the water the glimmery sight, where men were rushing to swim to the shore of that clear blue ocean. It was so clear that obviously it wasn't even touched by pollution. Gone are the buildings and cars. The only things he could see that time were trees, horses, vast grassland, and men wearing ragged clothes like him who were running and looks like training for military. Wait! He was just in a suit. But why is he wearing a peasant's dull brown ragged clothes? He was like in a paradise, a world only appeared way back when technology has not influenced the world. It was a world he never thought he could see. Is that even a place on Earth? What is he doing there? "Move! " A man in a better clothing, in an armor, shouted at him. The men behind him started bumping him as they swim and march towards certain direction. "Am I dreaming? " he uttered to himself. He swam with the others towards the shore. The wet soil on the shore even felt so real. "I said. Move, man of Enchantria." The man who shouted at him at the water came to shout at him again. He even went beside him to see if he will really move. "Whoa! Wait. En--what? Enchantria? What does that even mean?" he asked, confused. Suddenly, the man's fist landed on his cheek. That made him stumbled on the muddy soil. What the hell? Is this real? He can feel the pain on his cheek. As he was looking down, a red dot fell on the mud. He realized it was from his nose. Now, he is starting to panic. Where the hell is he? Enchantria? He never heard any of those. With a flick of the man's hand, he felt the air took him to stand up. Is that even real? Is it magic? He did not see anybody who helped him or even held him. "There's no time for joking. Wake up to our reality. Now, start moving. Train yourself if you want to live," the man said. THAT WAS THE first time they met. That is why he can also manipulate magic. He has royal bloods within himself. He admired mostly what the prince told him earlier before they left the land where they trained for days. It was "Enchantria doesn't need a prince in times like this. The kingdom needs someone who can lead them into battle. So, I became the Commander." That would be a great qoute for a character for a great story, he thought. That touches his mind. He haven't written for quite a while now. He misses his hands that always holds pens and papers. Or typing keyboards, encoding letters, words, sentences, paragraphs, that danced in a melodic tune that only writers knows what ecstatic feeling could that bring. Now his hands were rough and calloused. Blisters were popping and that was excruciatingly stingy. His hands holds swords now. A weapon that is maybe hundred times more heavier than of the pen that he held for years since he divulged himself in writing . Now he is one of the books, maybe, that he never touched. He was in a genre that never caught his attention before. He was in a fantasy world of whoever wrote this kind of story that gives pain, and at the same time, great adventure. Everyone have their own role. Every one must play the role they were born with. But what about him? Is he also a royal? Maybe he also got on the wrong body. "We are almost there," said the commander, who were an ex prince. They were maybe half a kilometers more when tgey heard people running towards their way, but on the opposite direction. They were going home, back to the castle. While the people were running away. The Captain opened the window and took a peak. "Stop the carriage," the commander order the man by the horses. "What is happening?" asked the captain to a person she stopped running. "The dragon, " the young lady gulped. "The dragon is here again. And it's burning the whole town," she shakingly said. The fear on her eyes are glimmering of shadows of death in front of them. He also took a peek by the window beside him. There he saw people who were racing just to get out of the area. There are even women carrying their babies. Even men were running away from there. Kids who lost track with their parents are crying while walking towards that direction with those trembling feet. Fear were painted in their every faces. He looked up the sky and saw the raging dragon. It was firing up the whole town. It looks furious and devastated. After seeing the people running, the dragon stopped and looked at the way to the castle. "What is happening?" the princess asked upon waking up. Her slumber was disturbed by what was happening outside. There, she sat down. She looked around and started to worry. "Is this my fault?" she asked anonymously as she put her delicate hands by her lips. Her eyes widened as her tears started to build up by the edge of her eyeballs. "Your highness, it is not, " the commander tried to calm her down. "I ran away from the castle. I was told to stay inside to keep the peace. No one is curing the soldiers. I did destroy the balance," she said hyperventilating. "No, princess. It just happen that the dragon appesred again and it is much nearer to us," said the commander. "I will go and see," the captain opened the door while the sword is on her hands. "I am coming with you," Grey initiated. "No. Stay her with the princess. I'll be coming with the captain," the commander stopped him. "But - - " "Just stay close to her. Keep her safe. And when I say safe, I mean alive. If something happens, I'll be the villain and have your head. Do you understood, Grey?" The Commander looked at him with piercing eyes. He nodded. " Yes, Commander." The two headed towards where the dragon was rampaging. "Mister!" he asked tge man in front but it looks like he was gone too. "We need to get out of here. Come on," he said to the princess. But the princess is not reacting. He have no choice. Fire were starting to build up near them. If they won't run, the fire would chase them any minute now. So, he shook her shoulders as hard as he could. "Wake up, princess! " he said. "Wake up to reality!" he shouted at her. Her suttle yet teary eyes looked at him, directly on his eyes. "If you will die here, I will die too for your brother just entrusted me with your life. So, please, do anything to survive. Because I don't wanna die in your world!" he desperately said to her. "My world?" she asked, slighty confused. He paused for a moment. His tongue just slipped. No one should know about his identity except them. But he just blurted it out out of desperation. "Yes. I am not from your world. I am from another world." He made a more serious look. "Have you heard of the summoned one? The hero that your dear kingdom, Enchantria, have been waiting for?" Her eyes moved from his one eye to another. "Yes. That's me," he said, nodding. "Pardon me, your highness, " he asked and held her hands. "Wait!" she said and looked up at him. "You were the summoned one?" she asked. "Yes. So, let's go, " he said. "If you were the summoned one, running away is not the way you should go. The road you should take should be the way towards the war zone." He just stare at her pleading beautiful eyes. But then, his breathing became too difficult. Not because she was gorgeous and her eyes are sparklingly hypnotizing, but because he felt the urge to do what she pleaded.
