"No!" the princess shrieked her cried as she calls on her father. That made her went on her knees for she could not bare the scene. The dragon kept on breathing fire and the king's shield were becoming hotter and hotter each second that he was not moving. He can see the sweat dripping on the king's forehead. His hair was soakingly wet with it. Grey could hear the king slowly defeating. He turned around and began looking for the dragon's tail. It was moving back and forth. "Come on, Grey," he convinced himself. "You are not the coward you used to before. You were more than just somebody. You were the summoned hero, a character, and not just an author." He breathed in all the strength he could find. And with a swift sway of his sword, he ran towards the tail and hit it. He couldn't get hold of it the first tries. But as soon as he got his sword dipped on the tail of the dragon, it roared so loudly that he bet all the people in Enchantria heard of it. He can see the pain in her eyes. The dragon was distracted, so the princess took her chance to see her father, crawling towards him. She does not care anymore of ruining her precious high valued dress she wore. The enraging dragon came to face him. Her eyes are burning in anger. "How could you!? You are a self-proclaimed hero of Enchantria!" she roared but her lips did not even move. Did she just talk? But the dragon's lips did not even move a little. She only exhaled and smoked from the fire she made. Did she just talk through his mind? He was taken back to the reality when the dragoness head swiftly went in front of him. She was staring at him, provoking any movements from him. "Talk, self - proclaimed hero of Enchantria, " she said once again. "I.." he cleared his throat before apeaking up again. "I am.. the hero.. of En...chantria," he stammered as she stepped towards him. He gulped. Is this really a war between him and the villainess? The dragoness stood straight and said, "You are not the hero. Because if you are, you would be doing something else. Not this." "I am doing what a hero has to do." "No. No. No. What does a hero supposed to do? To save the kingdom, isn't it?" With another twirl, the dragoness' tail hit him so hard that his body went flying towards the nearest wall. Every inch of his body is aching so hard. But then the princess stood up, raising her both hands towards him. A faded golden light came out of her hands floating towards him. Upon those lights reached his body, it dropped on the ground, creating a circle around him. On his feet was a not so normal star. He was inside a magic circle. "It will protect you," she said. Slowly, the pain was gone, with the bruises he received. Only blood stains were left. Not only that. He could also feel much stronger. He ran back towards the dragon but still its claws hit him once again. The princess keep on lighting his magic circle. He could feel he was starting to get weak. So , he turned his eyes towards the princess. Ther e he confirmed that she was also losing her stamina. " It is funny that you call yourself a hero when all you do is attack and attack. You feel you are special? You don't even have the power to defeat me. You were just like the other mortal men trying to get my head," the dragon roared. With the dragon's words, he remembered something. He is not just a powerless mortal. He does have power. "Water," he mumbled in the middle of his panting. "I need water," he said and looked at the princess. She put down her hands and the magic circle faded that moment. "Why? You were tired already that you were asking now for a break?" the dragoness grinned. He also curved a devilish smirk on his lips. "Perhaps. I am just a powerless mortal afterall. And may be I need a break for a second," he said and started running. The princess ran first. He just came after. The princess is driving them towards the nearest body of water. They keep running and running until they arrived to where he found out the secret of the captain . It was the lake where he used to meet her. They were panting. Soon, tge dragon came after them again. He laughed a syllable and raised his index finger to ask for a second. "I said I just wanted to take a break. I just wanted to drink water. That's all," he denied. "Stop this childish act. I don't have any time for these." The dragon was about to leave when Gray dipped his hand on the lake and pulled the water like a blanket, showering it on the dragon's back. The dragon was stopped from going back to where they left the king. "What did you just do?" the dragoness tilted its head and glated at the badly. He did not expect that he could do that the first try. "Well," he shrugged. "I'm just a powerless mortal. I did not do anything. Why are you looking at me like that?" he asked. Though his face is showing innocence, he knew himself that he was provoking the dragon. "How dare you!" the dragon face him and was abiut to blow a fire when he flicked his hand up. A big splash of water went on her face, eliminating the fire she was about to breathe. "I just moved my hands. I am a mortal, you see. I don't have any powers." It was a success. But then, the dragon is really pissed off. She cannot use her fire on him because he have water. The dragonness' tail came crashing on him in an instant. He was thrown a few meters away from where he came from. But the princess immediately heal him. The dragoness keep on attacking him by strength. And the princess still is healing him. Minute by minute, he can feel that the healing spells on him were weakening. "Your healer cannot take it anymore. She lacks stamina. Now, it's time to say goodbye to you self proclaimed hero," the dragon waved to him. And with her mighty claws, she stomped on him. That made him see darkness in a second or two. He can feel his breathing more difficult than ever. He can hear people around him walking in fast paces. They were as if panicking. He can feel that he can move his eyes. Slowly and a little shaky, he opened his lids and came to witness a white room and few men in white coats. It was hard to belive but he was awake. He was now awake in the reality that he doesn't know if he wished it wasn't his real world.
