CHAPTER 18 Mission 18: Tell the truth GREY took a frustrated sigh as he stopped spinning the stick to make a fire. "If only I have a lighter," he uttered. "I can try," Aisel volunteered. "Hmm. No. I don't think so, " he said. "You don't want to get your hands dirty right?" But he still stood up and went near him, who was busy rubbing the stick on a few set of crumpled dried leaves. "Move. And shut up," Aisel said as he grabbed the stick from him and sat down. He began rolling and spinning it to save the heat. He went faster and faster, until a slight of smoke came out from the bottom. Aisel bent more down to give it a soft blow of breathe. Soon, a spark of fire started. The fire soon went up until it was enough. "There! Easy, right? " Aisel boasted. "That was amazing!" He smirked. "So warm," Aisel mumbled as he po put his palms towards the fire. His stomach started to grumble all of a sudden. "I think we need food right now," he stated. Aisel stood up that instant. " I ' ll look for food." "No. I will," he insisted. Aisel is just acting weird and he is not used to it. Ever since they fell from the waterfalls. They couldn't find a way to get out of there. And the stones were too slippery to climbed on. "Just stay. I'll try to look for a way out. Keep the fire going. If it dies, I'll kill you too," Aisel said. He gulped. "Okay," he answered stuttering. "I'm just worried that your delicate self will get hurt on hunting." "Who says I'm going to hunt? And don't underestimate your vice - captain, " Aisel rolled his eyes. "I'll be back." Aisel left. He needs to keep the fire going. If it dies, he will too. He looked up to see how high is the waterfalls. Then moved his eyes on his hands. Did he really controlled the water a while ago? he asked himself. He might as well practice while Aisel is looking for food. He was trying to reach for Aisel when they fell from the cliff. He thought he could save him. But the water formed in to a circle, rushing towards Aisel. But before the water could save her, the ball of water broke and splashed both of them. It was like a balloon. Upon reaching the bottom, he found Aisel unconscious. He have no choice but to do CPR. Which is too difficult for his pride to do something like that to a person of the same s*x. He stood up and faced the waters falling from the river above. He already confirmed it. He really can manipulate water. That means that he wasn't just a peasant in this world. He was kind of special. Because he possess something that only royals have. What if he is not just a summoned hero? Just when he thought he could start on training himself to manipulate his powers, he heard Aisel from behind. "Hey! " Aisel called out to him. He turned and was surprised for the apple towards his face. He moved his hands to catch it before it will give him a bruise on the face. Aisel just threw an apple to him. "That's all I could find," he said. "What about you?" he asked when he saw that Aisel have nothing in his hands. "Just take it! Don't worry. I don't have a line of witches. I won't put poison on that." He turned around. " Just take it as my ' thank you ' for saving me a while ago, " he mumbled. The other side of his lips moved up as a grin. "If that's what a summoned hero do." "Summoned hero?" Aisel turned around to him and looked as if he said another taboo in Enchantria. "How do you know that? What do you know about the summoned hero?" He blinked a few times. Just what the hell is happening here? " Should he try to say the truth to him? Or not? He decided that instant. He have to take a risk. "To tell you the truth, I'm not really from this world. " Aisel just stare at him emotionless. "I'm from another world. A world which is far too different from here. I don't know if you would think of me as someone crazy but that ' s the truth. Aisel turned around. " The captain should know about this," he said. He moved to grab him. " Please. Don't tell anyone else about this. For they might see me as a traitor , " he pleaded. "I don't wan t to die in your world." Aisel gently remove his hands on him. "Did you know why am I wearing like this?" he asked out of the topic. "Why? " he asked. "I fell in love," he started. He was trying to figure out what will be the connection of his story to the topic. "And?" "But it was tragic. For it was a forbidden love," he continued with his serious tone. "I can not love someone for everyone is against it." He just nodded. Aisel notices his reaction. "I ' m sharing my secret with you. What I'm really saying is that I am trusting you with my secret too. It's my another language of saying that you should trust me." He took a sigh. " If what you are saying is true, then you have to trust the captain with your secret. I think the captain knows what's the best thing to do. She already know that you possess some kind of ability that only royals have. Why not take more risk and show her the real you. She is a good person." Still nervous, he nodded. His eyes jumped on the fire that is slowly dying. "Oh no! The fire!" He jumped to where it is, trying to blow it to revive it. "You won't gonna kill, are you?" he asked Aisel. He just took a sigh. "Come on. Let's go. Let's head back. They probably been looking for us." "You know the way? " he asked. "I just found it out while looking for food," he said. "You already knew the way back. But why bother give me an apple?" His face changed up a little. His irritation started to fire up. "I already said it was my 'thank you' ! "
