The moment I stepped in the bar that evening i knew I cannot be deviated by all the attention i get in here as I had to take care of a few things here. Women and their attention have always been a negative for me especially when I had to do something crucial and that's what is happening again i need my wingman right now to break me through this or a, a , a....wingwoman. She was looking sleek and sexy in that black dress, those short brown hairs falling at her shoulders and those long legs with black stilletos on were seriously a turn on. Then i saw her face, she seemed calm and at peace enjoying the surroundings her light brown eyes had a glint of humour in it, it was then when our eyes met each other.The look on her face was giving her away, i sure could understand that she couldn't hide a single thing as her face gives her off. I needed her at the moment to break me through, but she turned away and started chatting with her friend."Hey, look here i need you, i know i was all mesmerized by you and made you a little awkward with that eye thing but I need you, just look at me once".I was mumbling it to myself as if she could hear me but at that moment she looked at me and walked towards me.She wrapped her hands around me and whispered, "just, play along".That simple touch just made me shudder and i felt something which I never felt before. I was just looking at her dealing with those women around me and there was this sense of pride within me when she called me as his in front of everyone and pulled me away from the pretty annoying cluster.

She introduced herself as "Rachel", she was sweet and simple but had this edge to herself. I was mesmerized by her, i don't know why was I drawn towards her, this shouldn't happen, still i wasn't feeling good when she left with her friends, and I didn't had much time with her. At that very moment Victor arrived, he is the one who manages my work in my absence and my childhood friend as well."Jake, we need to steer clear of any drama at the moment, you know why otherwise all our efforts of years will be in vain, do not get distracted". Absolutely yes, that's why this feeling with Rachel shouldn't grow, i wish we don't meet again.I entered into a corridor of the bar and entered the last room where I found him. I cannot forgive him nor will I ever forget him, he will pay for his sins, he will be destroyed completely. Victor and my guards went ahead, tackled him from behind and covered his face with a black thin mask, "Kai Parker", what did you think? I will not find you?you can escape so easily, you are going to pay for everything you did to us, do not ever forget who you are dealing with here. Kai has this vicious laugh, like he wasn't bothered about being caught, it set a sense of uncertainty in me, but i know him, this definitely is not the end of it, something is about to happen, something big which needs to be prevented. I lost my calm and punched his face and gut until he was unconscious, I am not scared of anything, but Kai also cannot be ignored.We needed to be more alert then ever before, victor and my people took him to a safe place where he couldn't be traced and i headed back to my apartment. People say home is where your peace lives and my apartment is my peace. A glass of whisky on the rocks underneath the dark sky, in my balcony i was at peace and definitely a certain brunette is still on my mind after the terrific face off with Kai today.

I need to stop thinking about her, i need to stay away from the mear thought of her.

Next day morning after my most energetic sparring session i reached Frank Industries. The company is the only reason for me to stay in Newyork, I cannot jeopardize anything related to this company, as its the only thing that matters in my life. We had a meeting with our new vendor partners for our project, and there is definitely nothing that victor can't handle but I tend to meet all my partners imperson for my own reasons. As I entered the conference room, I was surprised to see the similar face from last night, but this time in a professional look. Rachel Rodrigues was here, the trouble was here, well well well... I just couldn't take my eyes off her, she had this red blush on her cheeks which went down to her neck "Boy!! you are in deep trouble." Rachel and her team continued with the presentation but I don't give a s**t about work right now...how am I suppose to focus on work when I have her in front of me...But now as she was the part of my business, her safety was my priority like all other people working with me. Hence, I asked her to work with me, she was a little shocked but then she took the bait and she agreed to work with me. I knew Victor was going to go nuts on me, but I had to ensure that she is safe, this urge of keeping her safe and in front of me was really strong then anything else right now. I knew this decision could change so many things, but for the first time, I wanted to take this risk, for HER.
