How I Met Him
It was a warm day in April, I was taking a walk in the park. It was like a normal day because I was a little depressed. You see I had just lost my dog/best friend. He was with me every since I was little. He was a gift from my father and loved him. His name was Peaches and he was a teddy bear. He made my life a whole lot better because he just wasn't my protector, he was also my best friend. He made me so happy and now he is gone.
As I walked, I just kept thinking about him. I was lost in thought, I accidentally bumped into him. I quickly apologized and I lifted my head to be meet by dark blue eyes and a smile to die for. He accepted my apology and asked what was wrong. I explained to him about my dog. He was a very sweet person. He is 6'4", blonde hair, a smile and a body sent from heaven.
We walked to a bench and sat down. He sat there listening to my story. You see I never meet a person like him before and I didn't think I would. He was a very caring person and just listened to my story without even interpreting me. It was like he had knew me all my life. I felt comfort as we sat there.
Then next thing know he asked for my number and I gave it to him. It was like a ghost from my past came back into my life. I finished my story and introduced myself, "Oh I'm sorry, my name is Valerie." "Hello Valerie, my name is Marcus, it is a pleasure to you." I replied "same to you."
After that we said our goodbyes and parted ways. The next day came and I received a call from him. He wanted to see me and so we could talk. I agreed and hung up the phone. That night I meet him at this little restaurant around the corner from the park. We sat there and talked and laughed. He asked me is I was interested in having a new friend in town because he was new to town and didn't know anyone here.
It would be a pleasure having a friend like him. I explained to him that I am not like any other female he had ever met. He laughed and asked me to explain what that meant. I told him that I was into women and also men. You see I never told anyone that before but he made me feel like I could tell him anything. He just laughed and said I understand.
We enjoyed our meal and our laughter. After a few drinks, we said our goodbyes and parted ways. When I arrived home, my phone rang and it was him. "I was just calling to make sure you made it home ok." " I did. Thank you for dinner and drinks, I really needed it." " No problem. It was a pleasure to get out and enjoy my new city with my new friend." We continued our conversation before I had to say goodbye.
We hung up the phone and I went to bed. The next morning I awoke with the best feeling I haven't had in awhile. I could remember the last time I had that feeling and it was the day I got my first kiss from a woman. When I was 18 I left for college and moved into an all girl dorm. That was the first I had to leave Peaches and it made me sad but my parents assured me he would be ok.
