"Get a move on boy!" Tyr bellowed
Thorin jumped slightly and put another piece of wood on the chopping block, he tried to swing the axe but his arms failed him. Jason had come over to him at mid day with a bowl of soup, and he had again refused it, he couldn't remember ever being so hungry. Despite Tyr's eyes on him he shook his head and sat down, He could feel Fen stirring again and he was thankful for it perhaps his wolf had more strength then him.
He felt another pair of eyes on him and he looked dover at the girl in the cage, her eyes where boring into him with what appeared to be...anger? He glanced at Tyr who was still watching him and got up moving in the direction of her cage, he just wanted to talk to her, to see her face close up. The big man was sin front of him in an instant, grabbing him on the back of the neck he tossed him back towards the woodblock with ease, Sending him sprawling. Thorin didn't get up right away, Why bother
"Get up boy." Tyr was standing over him, there was that alpha aura again...or was it Beta
"are you an alpha or a beta Tyr?"
The man looked unamused, actually now he looked angry, "Or maybe gamma, you sure know how to charm folks." He heard a snort of laughter from the cage and smiled. His smile was short lived though, Tyr's belt came down with a sickening slapping sound on his chest and he yelled out in pain. "Worth it"
"If you say so." Fen responded and he smiled again
"Get up."
"Make me." he spat, and laid back on the ground with his hands behind his head. Tyr's eyes glazed over for a second. "Mind-Link"
"He's called momma." Fen shot back weakly.
"calling mom?" Thorin asked sarcastically. Tyr took a step back. Thorin rolled over and got to his feet, Tyr did nothing to stop him instead went back to the fire and sat down. Testing his new found freedom he made his way over to the girls cage, Fen perked up as they came to the bars and he knelt down, They stared at each other for a moment and then she stuck out her hand. "I'm Wren." She stated he reached out and grasped her hand, as soon as the touched it was like a lightning jolt, a warm feeling crept through him, her eyes flowed blue and so did his as their beasts breached she surface. "Mate" Fen snarled, he was practically bouncing around in his mind, Thorin took her in as they stared at each other. She had a round face with full cheeks, Her bright red hair was done in a loose braid that went over her shoulder. She was a small girl, but not terribly petite, she was pale with adorable little freckles scattered all over her blushing cheeks.
They didn't move, neither spoke for a minute "Tell her out name you i***t!" He shook his head to clear it, but it was useless, he was absolutely infatuated with her,
"Thorin" he whispered and dropped his hand from hers as the realization dawned on him.
This was his fault, she had been drawn here because of him and now she too was going to endure pain he could not keep her from.
"So that's what she is to you." Jason s voice came from behind, Thorin rose to his feet and put himself protectively between them and Wren , the man snorted, "Most wolves spend years searching for their goddess given mate, and you two have met each other at age 7."
He felt Fen push to the surface and let out a snarl, "Jesus no wonder you've been so damn moody all the sudden." Tyr and him exchanged a look, then Jason turned back to him, "Come on lad, we have got things to do, your Fox isn't going anywhere. Tyr reached out to grab him by the arm but he snapped at him and backed up, Fen surged forward changing in an instant.
"Oh for the love of..." Jason's voice was laced with annoyance. Tyr changed as well, his wolf was massive, a dark shade of brown with black, the wolf looked ancient, with deep brown eyes and a white muzzle, he was scared from many battles...and he was much bigger the Fen. He heard Wren urging him to stop from behind him but it was out of his hands now he was a passenger only. Fen snarled and lunged at the wolf, being faster then Tyr, they used that to their advantage as they dodged several bites that would have rendered them helpless. Tyr let out a sharp yelp as Fen grabbed ahold of his back leg, shaking it viciously he hung on as the wolf spun around. Thorin felt the Wolfs mouth wrap around his scruff and was flung across the clearing, skidding to a halt he got to his feet just as The bigger wolf started after him at a full run. They clashed head on in a screaming, snarling mass of fur, Fen was holding his own well, using mostly defense and speed to his advantage he would land a blow and get out before the wolf had even known he was there.
Despite how well the fight was going, Thorin could feel Fen tiering quickly, "Let me take over" He urged as another blow sent him sprawling. Jumping to his feet he latched onto the Wolfs side and struggled to hold on as Tyr tried to shake him. "Cannot hold on anymore Thorin."
Thorin surged forward with renewed strength and bit down harder, then planting his feet he yanked with all his might. blood spattered his face and the massive wolf screamed as a patch of his flesh ripped clean off. Thorin held it in his mouth proudly, and let it drop to the ground with a sickening thud. He drew back his blood stained muzzle in a snarl and paced forward. Tyr was breathing heavily and bleeding from the wound on his side, several bite wounds layered his hind legs but he was no less fierce.
"He is weak Fen, we can take him!" Fen yelled at him to stop as he attempted to grab Tyr's neck but misjudged, that mistake was their downfall Tyr's teeth Wrapped around their neck and slammed them to the ground. His back legs tore into Their exposed belly, screaming in agony they struggled to get away, blood pooled from their wounds, but he let out a low challenging growl. Thorin would not submit, Tyr closed his jaw further making him squirm in his grasp. Though they could not mind-link but the message was clear, Submit or die.
Thorin felt Fen on the surface, "We will not allow them near our mate, It will be death."
He attempted to surge upwards, to take the wolf by surprise but he had expected that, releasing his neck his teeth closed around his back leg and snapped closed. An ear piercing scream echoed through the quiet forest, he withered in agony and Fen howled along with him. Looking down at his leg he saw shards of bone sticking through the skin, and blood spurting from the wound, Fen began receding as they weakened despite Thorin's pleas not to leave him. Tyr changed back with him. he hauled him to the cabin, the boys screams where blood curling. Jason followed behind lifted him up the stairs."You broke my f*****g leg, you son of a b***h!" He screamed, there was no retaliation as Jason swiped everything off the table and dropped him on it. He kept trying to reach for his leg but Tyr has a firm grip on him, Jason came back and flicked a syringe in front of him. "your not gonna want to be awake for this kiddo."
He felt the needle go into his arm. "I'll f*****g kill you one day." he slurred as the drug entered his system, Tyr only nodded, "I know."
Wren POV
The fight had been horrendous, she couldn't remembering being so scared as she watched Thorins wolf fighting with all he had, to protect her. "We didn't need protection." Vida hissed in her mind.
"Why did he do that, I wasn't even in any danger."
Vida just shook her head and began grooming her tail, "That, little cub was all wolf, Wolven instinct to protect, and the alpha in him struggling with being in captivity."
"His leg...Vida it was hanging."
She shivered as she recalled the sickening snap that had followed after that bite.
"There is a lot of bad blood between those two"
Wren looked at Vida, "what do you mean?"
Her fox counterpart had stopped grooming and looked up, "They have held him here for almost Two weeks, all of that hatred, and frustration came to the surface today."
She looked over at that cabin, "It will be a grueling recovery even with his wolf though, I wouldn't wish that wound on anyone."
