Introduction
Destiny Voyage As humans were nearly drove to its brink of extinction... Some group of people took shelter in an underground cave, whilst hiding they discovered a numerous amount of crystal stones. The surroundings glowed mysteriously and a bright light suddenly engulfed everyone present. “To you are bestowed gifts . . . the gift of Man’s Great Potentials. . .” Each human present was given their utmost potentiality. One person was bestowed the gift of influence- surpassing the resistance of those who even dare to counter. To another the gift of creativity was given- using anything that seems impossible to create an ingenious creation. Some became mystics- inside of them spurred mysterious energy that gave great healing or destruction to whoever approaches. Others became as tough as steel and as light as a feather- dare anyone to challenge them to a battle. Lastly were people given the ability to bestow what was needed by the many through their discernment. . . . . . . . . . . The Day of Chosen Ones A hustle here, and an argument over there, this particular Merchant village was bustling with life. It was the day were several new “Chosen Ones” scourged and scavenged places like these for equipment. Who are these ‘Chosen Ones’ you ask? The Chosen Ones are the elite defenders of the remaining human settlers in this charred and barren world- chosen for their inborn skills . . . superior strength, speed and agility to one, mystical energy flowing to others and advanced intellect and influence to some which were given the tools to use by those who discern their needs. In the small and quaint village underneath the blue sky and the invisible crystalline shield that surrounded the whole human settlement area . . . “May I interest you with the state of the class armour and top notch weaponry?” Sora, around the tender age of sixteen, prodded a warrior with hardly any sense of success as her green eyes bored into the male’s- it seemed to suck at his very life force. “Oh look at you! Don’t expose such muscle- it’s too captivating.” praised Rose, her lustrous red hair flowing in the wind as the warrior grinned proudly at her, “There’s much to be amazed of miss.”He replied and ventured to her armoury. She smiled at him- red lips and rosy cheeks gaining the necessary attention. Sora rolled her eyes in disbelief, seriously here she was honestly telling how wonderful the items she held were and there was Rose trying to flirt her way into selling hers. Not to mention that it was working! To the young brunette it was taxing and tiring to be a merchant. What you really do is go yell around trying to sell off an item and polishing it beforehand until it was shiny. This was not the life that Sora believed was for her, regardless whether she was born here in this village or not. . . . . . . . . The soulless entity staring at the young and horrified girl with its bleak and unblinking eyes as it lurched forward. She screamed and closed her eyes but nothing came. Opening her eyes a bit she saw a glistening sword between her and the decapitated monster’s head. She looked up in shock and saw a young man wearing a suit of armour- he offered her a relieving smile. “You okay little buddy? Let’s get going shall we? It’s dangerous out here.” He said and motioned for her to take his hand. She smiled through her glistening tears and grabbed his hand. End. . . . . . . . . Truly in her perspective a life worth living was beyond the crowded village, where you were set up for selling till your back muscles ached. Sora was tired of all these. . . “Don’t mind me if I do-!” a chirpy voice jostled the young lady out of hers thoughts as a hand ventured and grabbed the bag of gold placed on the wooden table. Sora’s eyes widened- that was worth more than her week’s pay! Which to be honest was not very much as she sweat-dropped for but a moment. “Hey!”She protested at the stranger. Sora looked up to see stunningly cold blue eyes and a mischievous smile from a person wearing a brown ragged cloak as they started running away. Gritting her teeth, knowing that the items were more valuable- Sora simply cringed at the week ahead of only rice balls. “Coming through- A-ah!”A young man’s voice screeched and crashed into her makeshift store as a bolt of lightning shot from seemingly nowhere started to burn one of her wooden posts. “Ugh. . .”he mumbled before fainting completely. A streak of horror washed upon Sora’s face not knowing how to react. “Out of my way, merchant!” a voice said breaking through and pushing the young woman to the ground as a figure dove past her already burning store. She blinked once. “O-oh my! I’m so sorry! I’ll fix this in a jiffy”a young woman’s voice broke out as a small figure made its way towards them. The person wore a dark cloak that already gave away their ethnicity. “Aqua Falls”she hurriedly spoke and before Sora managed to blink twice her store and herself were completely drenched. The water also managed to rouse the young man to awaken. ‘Great’ she thought sarcastically. “Haichi are you alright?” the young woman questioned and kneeled in front of the man who surprisingly sputtered some water. . . . . . . . . At the sight of her store seemingly destroyed by lightning and water- Sora groaned in dismay. “What am I even supposed to do now?!” she screamed while grabbing some of her hair in exasperation. “Can’t catch me orange tuft ~”a voice from a distance teased a young warrior who was chasing the ragged-cloaked person managed to avert Sora’s attention. In less than a second she used one of her items: ‘ordinary: slingshot’. Aiming for a young boy holding a bag of marbles a few feet in front of the duo as it struck the bag with precision- the contents dropping into the ground. Just in time. The cloaked person ungracefully slipped and crashed into some haystack. . . . . . Sora’s mouth fell agape- did she just hit it precisely?! The warrior and the two people with her were likewise surprised and were struck for a moment. ‘Can’t afford to lose a second though.’Sora thought ‘Time is money after all’ The brunette shook her head and quickly used a beeline route to arrive where the mugger was designated. The person was just getting up and looked up to see Sora wearing a scowl on her face. “I’ve got more of that if you want some.” she threatened the person while showing off the otherwise dusty slingshot. A soft and melodic laugh came out as the person took the hood off from himself . . . or herself. . . “You’re pretty resourceful aren’t you?” she laughed a bit and threw the bag of gold in Sora’s waiting hands. “Here- you must need that a lot after that shocking incident.” She quipped eyeing the other girl’s once intact store. Sora’s cheeks coloured in embarrassment and she tried to play it off. “Well yeah you’re not going to need currency when you’re arrested.” she scoffed. The thief’s lips pursed into a pout, “Aww come on, and I just needed the money. . .”she replied while averting her eyes. “Please let me go~? Pretty please?” she probed in a sing song voice. Sora groaned and face-palmed herself. “Fine- hurry up before the “Chosen Ones” get here.” she muttered in defeat, not wanting to get anyone in trouble. The thief grinned and bid her farewell. “Let’s hangout next time okay?” she said before releasing a smoke bomb and disappeared. . . . . . She was interesting and took up the matter in her own hands. One could really wish more people were like her. . . The world might have more justice if it were so. . . . . . . “Hey where was the thief! Did you let the thief go?!” a voice thundered as Sora looked at the trio coming her way. The thundering voice came from the ‘orange tuft’ warrior who looked enraged- probably because she caught the thief not him. “Of course not- I got my gold back then the thief disappeared with a smoke bomb.” Sora uttered plainly showing her bag of gold. The guy sighed in defeat. “I see. . .”the young woman wearing the dark cloak patted his arm comfortingly. “Hey Rai-kun don’t worry, we’ll still have more missions to accomplish.” she eased the young warrior. Sora could feel a gag coming on but stopped it. “Yeah maybe easier ones too~” Haichi chirped and was met with a cold glare from Rai.”Only A rank missions and above are worthy of any glory.” he muttered under his breath. “We’ll get there Raiden.”The young woman told him matter of factly. “Mhmm- Cosette’s right.” Haichi nodded. “Okay before you guys get all cuddly with each other- can you pay me now?” Sora said breaking in. “What do you mean?” Raiden deadpanned, it was replied by an equally empty stare coming from Sora. “Um my whole livelihood is destroyed?”she replied and pointed to her charred store from a distance. “Haichi.” Raiden bared his teeth while looking at the other young man and Haichi gave a nervous laugh. “Ha ha ha Raiden that’s a very long story. . .”Haichi gulped. “Miss Magic burned my store to crisps is all I have to say.” Sora scoffed- and somehow that seemed to let Haichi off the hook. Cosette’s face reddened. “I am so sorry!” she immediately squeaked and started fumbling her cloak. “Well I doubt you can repay me financially. . .”Sora started smoothly. “Um well to be honest. . .” Haichi laughed bashfully. “So let me be a member of your party and get a quarter of your earnings.” Sora ended with a grin. - - - - - - - Haichi’s eyes widened,Cosette gawked a bit and Raiden chuckled a little too much. “I’m really serious.” Sora said squarely. “You’ve got to be kidding me.” Raiden busted into laughter while Hachi and Cosette wished him to stop. “Sadly I am not.” Sora smiled painstakingly at them. “I want to be beyond my life now. I want to help other people’s lives. I want to de-feat the monsters that ruin our species longevity.” “That’s quite a lofty and glorious dream I tell you. . .”Raiden started out softly. “ But you’re better off staying here and shining our armour for your own good.” He told her plainly. “You have no skills or whatsoever.”he shrugged indifferently. “I managed to defeat a thief faster than the three of you.” Sora said pursing her lips while Raiden’s eyes twitched a bit. “Plus if all of you have skills- then what about him?” she pointed at Haichi whose jaw dropped. “He seems practically useless.” she added. “H-hey!” Haichi said slowly sinking in defeat. “He is one of the select creative humans if you didn’t know.”Raiden shrugged offhandedly. Haichi sobbed tears of joy at Raiden’s recognition by wiping his tears in Cosette’s cloak. Both young women sweat-dropped at the man’s reaction. “Well whatever the case you have to repay me by letting me join your group.” She stubbornly told them. “Hey Rai maybe we could use an extra member?” Cosette softly mentioned.” The more the merrier they always say.” she cheerfully said with a smile. “Yeah she could wipe your suit of armour you know?” Haichi laughed care freely- he had to meet both young women’s glare whereas Raiden seemed to actually consider Haichi’s notion. “Fine you can come with us to the Capital- I doubt the guild leader is going to let you join us anyway.” He shrugged nonchalantly. “Get ready to walk back all the way here...” “Sora, and I really doubt that.”she replied with a triumphant smirk. . . . “She’s got gold Rai- she can ride back here you know?” Haichi whispered into Rai’s ears. Both Sora and Raiden groaned in dismay. “Welcome to the group Sora!” Cosette cheered and pulled them into a group hug. It was the start of her voyage to her destiny. . .
