Destiny Voyage- Finally In! 1.5 Chapter “What do you guys have in mind?” Haichi grinned, joining in the conversation. “Well I was thinking of heading to a carnival just outside of the Capital.”Robin smirked slightly while Sora frowned slightly. “You’re not supposed to leave the city you know?” She remarked while he shrugged. “You could talk to Roswell or I will- it’s easy peasy.” The young man replied with a confident smile. “However I think if we steal the carriage we could leave right now.” he grinned at Sora and took her hand before pulling her away from the trio. “Hey wait for us!” Haichi called out and ran after them. Cosette smiled a bit, finding Robin’s actions as obnoxious before walking after them, she however stopped for a moment and looked at Raiden. “Are you coming along?” she asked softly. The man seemed stunned and planted on the ground but he briefly nodded his head. “Y-yes . . .”he replied uncertainly so the girl followed the others. Raiden had never been able to go to one of those. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ “Father . . . can I please go out and play with my friends?”Raiden beamed cheerfully at his father while tugging his sleeve. His friends were waiting for him. They were going to play heroes and monsters. He was the hero of course. Raiden was the best fighter in their age after all. “Can you beat me?” The father spoke quietly and Raiden quirked a brow. “Can you beat me in a fight?” He asked the boy seriously who quickly shook his head. “No father.” Raiden humbly replied. “Then just train.” The man told his son plainly not amused by his desire to play with their friends. “Playing is a distraction.” He bluntly told the young boy who seemed stricken. “O-okay father.” The boy sadly said before walking out to tell his friends he couldn’t join them again. At this rate he would have no friends at all ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ The others howled as Robin swiftly rode through the city roads and into the open meadows and plains outside of the Capital. The guards assumed it was Roswell and quickly just let him out without any verification as Robin has thought of so easily. He sighed, at this rate his brother could have easily rebelled and no one could stop him. They arrived at the entrance of the huge carnivals. Different rides could be seen as well as different kinds of entertainment, a circus show and a bazaar. Everything one would want to see in a carnival was present. The place was wafted in the scent of cotton candy and fresh and buttery popcorn. Sora and the rest of the crowd salivated at the scent while Robin parked the carriage somewhere close by. “We’re here.” Robin announced as Haichi and Cosette scrambled down the carriage and skipped into the carnival’s gates. “Aren’t they excited or what?” Robin kidded slightly whilst smiling at Sora. “Want to catch the Lover’s Tunnel?” he winked at Sora who puffed her cheeks. She wasn’t used to this flirting side of him at all. “No thanks.” she brushed him off and looked at Raiden. “Hey are you okay?”she asked the male uneasily. “Why shouldn’t I be?” the young warrior intoned while he looked out seemingly bored at the scenery on hand. She sighed quietly and nodded her head. “Do you want to come with me and Robin?” Sora asked him kindly while he shrugged at her. “Sure. I might get confused a bit after all.” he told her albeit managed to say it still quite smoothly. “Eh you’ve never been to a Carnival before?” she inquired incredulously with her green eyes wide as plates. “Yeah, they can be stupid. It could hinder one from being productive no?” he shrugged nonchalantly while she frowned. “Let’s see you eat your words. I’ll show you true fun and enjoyment!” Sora grinned at him but was completely determined. “Hey Robin please help me out okay?” she pleaded him with a puppy dog face. The man sighed, he couldn’t have her to himself yet he can never resist such a face like that when it came from her. He looked at her nodded his head. “Fine, please follow me into the land of thrill and excitement.” he relented with a roll of his red eyes aimed for Raiden and walked off into the entrance gates and bought tickets for the three of them. It was those kinds of unli-ride tickets shaped like a bracelet where they could repeat a ride no matter how much they wanted to. He tied the bracelet tickets around Sora’s wrist and threw one at Raiden who somehow fumbled to put it on his wrist as Robin finished placing his. “Anyways do you guys want to eat or ride first?” he queried with a small pleasant smile. “Eat-ride” both people simultaneously replied and they looked at each other in mild surprise. “Hoh oho- you want to ride first?” Sora grinned at the suggestion while Raiden shrugged quite nonchalantly. “You must be starving to want to eat first.” he told her simply while she sweat-dropped at how that made her appear as a glutton in front of Robin. “Rides it is. Let’s quickly go to the roller coaster!” . . . “Awww it’s lined up so much.” Sora complained childishly while Robin sweat dropped and patted her head. “It’s alright- we can come back later.” he comforted her while Raiden rolled his eyes. “Patience is a virtue you know?” Raiden told them while Sora mimicked him in a jesting way. The man simply ignored her to the young woman’s own dismay. What was wrong with him anyway? “Guess we’ll wait.” Sora muttered and stood up boredly. She hoped that Haichi and Cosette were having more fun than them. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ “AH!!!!”Haichi screamed out as they swirled around and around in the Wave Swinger while Cosette simply grinned and cheered as they spun even faster. “I think I’m gonna-“ Haichi covered his mouth while Cosette looked at him in disgust. This wasn’t as so much fun as she had expected. They really should have just ridden the Carousel since it was slower. Thankfully it slowed down enough and they finally finished the ride. Others looked away in repulsion at Haichi who seemed to have gotten his breakfast all up and runny again on his mouth and clothes. Cosette quickly walked away in hopes of not getting bagged in with his attitude.” Hey wait up!” Haichi called and ran after her. “I need to buy clothes!” he called out. Cosette turned around with mouth muttering some incomprehensible words. A huge stream of water blasted the male off into a corner but thankfully wiped and soaked him clean. “Well not what I had in mind but thanks Cossie!” The male grinned as he trudged after her and the girl simply relented- she didn’t want to be branded as an attacker after all. “So where do we go next?” Haichi queried the female with a happy smile. Cosette couldn’t help but be reminded of a little puppy who chased after its master with just a happy wagging tail. He was that insistent. She pouted and looked around. Every other fast and exciting ride was lined up and mostly off limits with the male with her. The Carousel seemed too kid-like so she sighed softly. “Love Tunnel.” she spoke quietly and averted her eyes to the ground. “Eh what?” Haichi asked as he tried to rid himself of some water that was still in his ear. The young woman’s face reddened immediately. “Don’t make me repeat it!” she hissed at him and he raised his hands. “Horror Tunnel yes!” he screeched while the girl sighed and just grabbed his hand. Haichi blushed slightly as he got dragged around by the girl. Her hand was very warm to his soaked skin. Goodness it seemed like he was a pervert. He shook his head slightly to calm himself. They were good friends and he wouldn’t do anything to change that. Their friendship was not exchangeable and truly priceless to him. “Hey Haichi are you still nervous?” the voice asked him as Cosette pouted at him. “W-what?! Not at all!” he confidently told her and grinned. Haichi gave her a thumbs up and she smiled relieved. “Let’s go then Chi-Chi.” she told him as she hopped into the small swan boat for two people. She slightly wondered where the three other people were. She was slightly jealous that Sora was accompanied by two attractive males while she seemed to babysit Haichi. It wasn’t as if she didn’t enjoy being with Haichi. He was a fun and interesting guy and a cool friend to her. It was just that he seemed to act like a cry-baby child more often than not which irked her. He was one of the brightest technologists in their generation yet he often seemed like a burden more often than her. It confused her quite a lot. She merely hoped that things were turning out better for Raiden though. He seemed quite glum. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ “Well we are nearly up next.” Sora mused finally satisfied a bit that the line was nearly over. “Thank goodness. I was going to die of boredom.” Robin uttered in relief and gave Raiden the nasty eye for making them wait He could have the chance to have rode something romantic with Sora like the Love Tunnel or Ferris Wheel if they went away at first. “See?” Raiden shrugged a bit. “Waiting has its perks.” he merely told Robin who seemed to get irritated more at the nonchalant attitude of the male before him. They soon boarded the seats of the roller coaster. They placed the bars in front of them to keep things safe. Safety first after all. Sora was situated in between the two males of course. “Um . . . I’m a bit nervous.” Sora confessed. “Hold my hand/grab my arm.” Robin and Raiden offered in unison before both looked at each other plainly. Sora laughed nervously and held the rails tightly. “I’ll stick with the metal bars first.” she told them. “Please place on your seat belts.” An attendant told them and both males hastily put theirs on before both trying to place Sora’s belt. Robin managed to do it out of sheer experience. Raiden fumbled with putting on his own seat belt until Sora grabbed his fingers. “Like this.” She gently said and locked his seat belt and gave him a gentle smile. “Hold on tight.” she grinned at him who looked at her in amazement. A small blush tinted his cheeks.
