Destiny Voyage- Convincing Cats: Cosette and the Mirror “Are you seriously trying to threaten me?” he asked in amazement, his ruby coloured eyes burning in amusement while his mouth was etched with a grin, his typical fang showing. He looked at the young woman who appeared to be just around his age. Her blonde hair flowed beautifully past her shoulders and framed her petite physique quite nicely. The way her azure blue eyes looked determined was also alluring as well- it reminding him of a certain person he once knew very well. “I really am Robin-sama.” The young woman curtly replied blowing a stray strand from her face, a paradox of her given honorifics to the young man. ”If you Robin-same have not yet noticed it then, which I believe is stupidity in its finest- I am not the usual white mage. I possess an amount of destructive energy that could possibly greatly injure or dare even kill another person.” She explained as electricity seemed to spark faintly in her hands to give her point. The man cleared his throat- knowing that he was actually up against a real magic-user. “Calling me ‘sama’ means you already know who I am right?" he told her with a confident shrug. "I can easily call my men and have you hunted down.” He remarked smoothly at her, using his known identity to threaten her. “I doubt you can do that without having to call on your parents for help-" she started countering his statement. "Which as far as I know is exactly what our mission wants 'dear Robin-sama';  For you to go back home.” She realized after the man’s statement to make her back off. "So maybe I can really just electrocute you?” she smiled slightly with a little sadistic glint in her eyes that scared the male for about a good minute or two. “Well until you have to run away back home really.” She corrected herself sheepishly- her wits and femininity returning. A tiny drop of sweat formed around Robin’s forehead. as his palms got a bit sweaty The young woman now actually seemed a bit dangerous after that expression of her wish to electrocute him and even to actually kill him if it were not a mission given to her friend. “Okay… we don’t really need to go that far. " he started speaking as calmly and smooth as he could. "How about you get me a date? ” He grinned. A rosy blush immediately formed on the blonde woman's cheeks as her aura of power suddenly transformed into demureness. “I apologize, I really have been considering myself belonging to-“Cosette started to modestly say no the male in front of her whilst her sapphire blue eyes looked at the ground in embarrassment. “No, I mean get me a date with your teammate.” He clarified immediately, not wanting to get the lady’s hopes up to date him. He always had that kind of appeal to women that he truly did not understand, he had a twin- why not go after that guy? He only wanted some decent peace and silence in this ever so bustling world. “You get me a date with Sora Hisako and I’ll agree to come home.” Robin promised the young woman to her utter shock and horror. A tick mark then seemed to appear on the woman’s forehead and her hand immediately whipped forward and slapped the young man’s face. Robin looked at her in surprise. Perhaps the first woman to slap him in the face ever since he arrived here in the Capital. It was a bit funny to him as he remembered his younger years, but he also winced at the burning sensation in his cheek while he rubbed it for some comfort. “You really have no clear vision or mind do you Robin?” she frowned at the male, clearly thinking that it was preposterous that the male would want or even consider rejecting an opportunity to date her. She was an absolute beauty; everybody recognized that as simple fact. Why would he want to date her rather nice but plain-looking teammate? “You just don’t ask women to be a wing man- either you date them or make them jealous since you like them.” “W-woah, woah does that mean you wanted to go out with me?” the young man grinned at her and she blushed slightly. “I would have been willing to for my friend’s sake. It’s her mission to get you back home.” She explained while looking away somewhat annoyed at him for supposing that she liked him. The nerve of that man, who did he think he was? Sure he may have been an Influential, and that was considered the most noble of all the races in all humanity, but to think that she likes him? Such arrogance! Did he not know that she had suitors flocking her left and right- some were even Influentials! Although for the most part, she knew that those men only wanted to have her for her appearance and the possible stretch of her influence towards the Mystic humans. . . however, she was sure that it was more because of their inclination for her utmost beauty. So he should not dare even think that she would go head over heels for him- just because he was an Influential. “Oh so you aren’t really interested in having a date with me?” the man chuckled and leaned close to her that made her face turned red at the proximity. “I wouldn’t mind going out tonight with such a lovely little woman like you.” He added with a flirtatious smile and winked at her. Somehow, Cosette then realized that he wasn’t that half-bad in appearances. Perhaps that was why women flocked him when they had a chance. “Well erm…” Cosette stumbled over her words whilst playing with her fingers. “I suppose-“ she began to speak up about reconsidering his suggestion. “Cosette-chan!” a voice yelled across the street that stopped the woman in her tracks. It was an ear-piercing girly shrill- she inwardly sighed and looked at the direction of the sound. It was Haichi as usual, nobody else could scream like a little girl and get away with it besides him. Her eyes then widened, realizing that she stopped mid-sentence and she turned back to reply to Robin. However now there no traces of the young man she had found earlier. She shook her head in dismay at her foolishness of being played on by the young man and called out to Haichi as the male let out an 'eep!' of pleasure before running towards her. “Co-Cossete~!” the young man yelled out her name and tackle-hugged her to the ground. “I’m so glad to have found you!” he explained while rubbing his cheek against her. “I thought you got lost or something.” He smiled sadly as the young woman couldn’t help but laugh softly. “Oh Chi-Chi I’ve lived here all my life- I wouldn’t get lost even if I wanted to.”she replied as kindly and understanding as she could. “Well at least we won’t be worrying about you now.” The man replied with a relieved sigh as the young woman merely sweat-dropped at the statement. “What about Sora?" Cosette asked, suddenly remembering her new teammate. "Did you guys found her yet? I’m worried she might have been lost till now.” The young lady interrogated her teammate. “Oh her- we’ve found her about an hour ago I think." Haichi replied as nonplussed as he could ever be." We’ve been actually looking everywhere for you!” he remarked as she sweat-dropped once more. ‘We have communication equipment right?’ she thought, it was the reason she was allowed to go solo in the Capital at the first place. Haichi was pretty forgetful. “I see, I'm glad to know that she's safe now.” She nodded curtly at his statement, her thoughts filled with the words of Robin earlier. He had wanted to spend some time with some out of the city and born in the province type of girl. Sora wasn't all that pretty, an interesting figure- but was that enough? It seemed like there was more to the picture than Sora and Robin had let on.“Let’s go meet them now shall we?” she told him and he grinned at her. “Okay! Follow me~” he declared and lead her back to their fellow teammates. “Oh Cosette! It seemed like I wasn’t the only missing person.” Sora laughed a bit while Raiden looked extremely relieved at her return. “I’m glad you’re safe- but…” he started out calmed. “Yeah my resident area must be closed by now. I think we should just rest at your home.” Cosette suggested to them thoughtfully, a slight tint of colour around her cheeks. “It’s too far- let’s stay at our residence! It’s really closer than Rai’s.” Haichi offered as he yawned cutely. Sora was thinking to herself, ‘Aww poor little thing.’ “Mhmm how about we stay at Haichi’s? To me it seems more comfortable than Raiden’s.” Sora grinned at Cosette as the orange-haired warrior’s eyes twitched slightly to her enjoyment. “Plus I bet it’s much much safer from any disturbing perverts crawling about.” She added to burn the warrior as the man forced a grin at them. “Yeah relatively my street is a bit dangerous- so Sora’s grateful that I was there to protect her.” He answered with a small glare directed at the brown-haired lady. Haichi was embarrassed and sweat-dropped at the argument just about to brew between their leader and new teammate so he decided to stop it and held up his hand. “Guys do it later when we get to the house- I’m really sleepy.” He yawned and started walking towards his district area. Both Sora and Cosette immediately followed the dark-brown haired man along with a much more reluctant Raiden. He would have wanted to walk all the way home or faced Cosette’s parents’ wrath than this, well more of the former than the latter- but he truly wanted to avoid going to Haichi’s place. First and foremost, he was the proud leader of their team and he would resign to sleeping with his teammate’s house where the parents of Haichi were residing? He would rather sleep in a dump with dogs! Sora’s eyes nearly came bulging out as they reached a part of the Capital which looked like from a next millennium technology. It seemed more advanced than any other part of the Capital, why had she not noticed it earlier this day? The walls protecting the Creative Residence from the outside was full-on metal walls infused with what appeared was crystal energy circuiting around it. According to Haichi, it was only capable to be opened by a registered resident. “Man! Haichi it’s like you’re from the future or something!” Sora blustered out in amazement. Haichi grinned sheepishly at her, his sapphire coloured eyes bashfully looking down to the ground while Cosette merely looked embarrassed that she was beside the male. Somebody appreciated his explanations, now he wanted to discuss every part of the residence he was staying in and the wonders of being a Creativist! The walls were nearly indestructible to simple weapons like guns, machetes, flamethrowers and even a lot of bombs currently available proved ineffective to the walls that they had created. Haichi grinned and offered to do a demonstration tomorrow; maybe with a nuke he added making both Raiden and Cosette to hit him simultaneously at the head. Even if the walls of the Creative Residence managed to survive that, the other parts of the Capital would have been destroyed. Haichi felt embarrassed and soon discussed a special invention; soul-powered weapons were only available to the clan’s honoured main members. This soul-powered invention was created by a person just around their age and was considered the most brilliant person in the current generation of Creativist. Sora was surprised at how Haichi seemed to easily state that information . . . was he not a smart person compared to that young person? “Hey Haichi, if you compare yourself to the person who made that soul-power stuff. How would you rank yourself?” Sora asked as Raiden face palmed while Cosette sweat-dropped for their teammate asking the one question Haichi loved to answer. The young male seemed to change persona, he let out a low and dark chuckle that made Sora feel something crawl down her spine. “That’s a good question Miss Hisako, that boy, Hayato?” he continued to speak as if his voice was cold as ice. “He only managed to be the most brilliant because of his creation, otherwise it would be me- just wait my dear, I will produce something that will make the Spirit Gunner fall down on his knees and beg for mercy!” Haichi announced and then started laughing loudly and maniacally. Sora soon started backing down, wanting to hide behind Raiden like Cosette already done. A window suddenly opened from a resident house. “Hey will you yap it down Haichi! Some people are trying to get some sleep ya know?!” an old man yelled out irritatingly at them. In a blink of an eye, Haichi returned to normal and waved his arm apologetically. “Sorry Mister Gregory! I’ll stay quiet!” Haichi smiled sheepishly and bowed his head. Sora now promised herself to never get on Haichi’s bad side. ============== “Uhh…” Sora was clearly astounded by the size of the bedroom and its furniture. Haichi’s father had previously worked as a member of the Creative cabinet after all so the size of their own personal residence and expenses to maintain their place and needs as well as wants too weren’t a problem for the family of Haichi. “Good night Sora-chan and Cosette-chan!” Haichi wished goodnight to the two of them whilst he then grabbed Raiden’s arm and pulled him away. After some chitchat with Cosette- Sora was feeling a bit sleepy and proceeded to bed Sora was snoring soundly so Cosette got up from the bed and stretched her arms. She hadn’t been able to clean her face so she proceeded to get some wipes and erase smudges and dirt- everything on her face that can contribute to more lacklustre skin. The young lady couldn’t afford that at all. Cosette always had that morning glow thanks to her rigorous night routine that had several steps and procedures. Washing of the dirt and grubbiness from her face after a long and tiring day or doing missions with her team, dabbing on toner on her skin with a cotton pad to moisturize and remove any remaining dirt that could have stayed after her wash. Then she proceeded with applying eye serum to keep eye bags at bay whether or not she had stayed up late nights for some night missions. Choosing a lightweight moisturizing lotion that brightens her skin tone was soon applied next. ~10 minutes of rigorous evening routine~ Cosette looked at herself in the mirror and smiled contently. “Oh look at that pretty little woman.” she giggled at the mirror. “My goodness you don’t mean me? I don’t look that pretty.” Cosette waved her hand dismissively trying to disagree with the compliment she herself had given. “Yeah you are beautiful then?” Cosette told her reflection thoughtfully. “I wouldn’t call myself that either.” she sheepishly replied as she then placed some lip balm to prevent chapped lips and maintain kiss-ready lips. “I’m just trying to keep myself look presentable.” The lady once more explained to herself. “Don’t be so humble darling Cosette- don’t you know that you are the fairest woman in the whole land?” the blonde young woman giggled while flaunting her meticulously brushed hair locks. Sora seemed to inwardly groan and Cosette looked back. “God she snores like a pig.” She muttered in dismay. “Now, now don’t be like that- you’ll get wrinkles. Just wear some earmuffs and you’ll be fine.” Cosette talked to herself and sighed in relief. “Well good night gorgeous- see you tomorrow.” She yawned and winked at herself and stretched a bit before she headed to the bed. Cosette snuggled into the bed covers and kept herself warm. She closed her eyes to sleep. ‘Gah! This girl is giving me the creeps me out now’ Sora shook slightly as her eyes opened slightly, trying not to awake the narcissist just beside her. The young woman simply seemed to reply by snuggling up to her to which Sora made a face that had a mixture of freaking out and fright. “Mmm …Warm…” Cosette mumbled was all the words that Sora understood to which she then sweat-dropped at. She inwardly sighed, “I could have been dreaming.” She uttered and forced herself back to sleep.
