Convincing Cats- Deadline Encroaching Sora woke up from what seemed like a terrible dream of Cosette, of course nightmares were dreams too after all. So as far as she knew, one had to be careful of wishing that every dream they had to come true. Who knows, perhaps your dreams came true- but of the nightmare variety. That would be horrible. Her mind flew back to a memory when she was younger. ~ ~ ~ She shook on her bed as the young white haired male sought to hush her to sleep. Tears had formed on her eyes, a horrible dream that felt so real happened to her- the young Sora could not fathom the meaning of the dream at all. “There, there Hisa-chan, calm down.” Robin whispered to her as he held her close. The young girl was sniffling and hiccupped a bit. “B-but what if it comes true.” she choked on another set of tears about to spring. “Don’t say that Sora, dreams are just dreams. They’re figments of your overactive imagination.” Robin soothed her while massaging the scalp of her head patiently. “B-but this dream had your parents coming over to take you away.” the young one finally spoke up, barely above a whisper. The young boy realized why it shook her. Her dream could be a possibility. He was unsure of what to feel, of course Sora was no prophet but perhaps it meant something? He felt a mixture of feelings. Of course he wanted to know why he was left alone in the forest, why did they abandon him? Did they really abandon him? Some years had passed since he first stumbled onto their village by accident. Even if he was bratty as they had called him, he was utterly relieved to have found people. He never cried for his parents and often shrugged when people asked him if he wanted to go home if that was possible. Sure, he was interested in what really happened before but right now as he held Sora close to his chest. He knew his place; he wanted to be beside her at all times. He wanted to be with her, he wanted to be here when she cried so he could wipe her tears. He wanted to be right here when she smiled and take in the happy sight. He wanted to be with her as she escaped her cleaning duties and join her as she practiced with her sling shot and aim at the unripe fruits at a tree. He wanted to be with her at those times. No matter what happened, he was sure, he was completely definite that he would never exchange his life now with Sora for anything in the world. Even if that meant not meeting his parents ever again, or learning if he had a sibling? What he really was? It was all worth not knowing any of it, as long as he could wake up and see her once again. “Sora, what if my parents take me away?” he spoke, making her look at him. “You know what I would do. I would escape from them and run all the way back here okay? So don’t cry now. You won’t look good with swollen eyes tomorrow.” Robin told her, trying to hush her. “Plus your parents gonna kill me, thinking I made you cry.” he pouted at her and she giggled. ~ ~ ~ Sora yawned and stretched to see Cosette sleeping like a beautiful princess, facing a single side. She looked like the embodiment of pureness and goodness. Her eyelashes were very long as her eyes rested shut. It seemed that Sora’s unknown desire to see her evil character had just appeared to suit her wishes. Truly Cosette was simply and only an angel and she perhaps had just been terribly jealous. The brunette blew a strand wearily at the loose hair strand around her face and sighed softly. Sora could have just fallen asleep and dreamt it last night- there had been too many unlikely suggestions on what had happened to Cosette’s personality. A spirit possessed her. She had been dreaming. It was her evil twin sister. Perhaps she was hallucinating. It was a hidden dark side. Maybe she was just imagining things. Yeah probably the last was the most realistic thing. She then gaped for a moment in surprise- why was she with Cosette?! The room looked much bigger than before and more heavily furnished than Raiden’s simple room, ‘Oh wait it’s Haichi’s house.’ ( Raiden: Suure you just forgot that it was his house. Sora: like you forgot I was beside you *snicker*) ‘So that means- gah! I still haven’t found him.’ Sora groaned inwardly, remembering her mission to find Robin, not to mention her memory about him earlier. ‘ Two days to go- including this one. I need to find him and fast.’ She decided. ‘I need to do it without the other two guys finding out though.’ She frowned slightly, not even understanding why she had to keep it from her teammates. “Goooood morning Sora-“a jubilant voice rang out as the doors slid open to reveal Haichi pushing a cart filled with a delicious smell of food. “SHHH!!” Sora immediately hushed the boy with a much louder sound herself. “Cosette’s still asleep you know?!” she screamed-whispered at the brunette male. “Eep! Sorry!” the young man squeaked as he pushed the cart in front of the awoken girl. “I’ve got breakfast for both of you.” He smiled sheepishly and rubbed his head. “Awww thanks Haichi.” Sora smiled back a bit, already finding it hard to hold any grudge or whatsoever. “Yeah I made pancakes doused with imported maple syrup- Cosette’s favourite. Also some French bread baguette and a pitcher of fresh coconut juice which are some of Cosette’s daily cravings.” He listed to Sora while he grinned in triumph. It took him some time just for him to figure out Cosette’s favourite color was, which was blue- mind you. Sora’s jaw dropped at his statement. “Are you messing with me?!” she asked seriously as if stricken by surprise and he simply shook his head. “Of course not Sora-chan, why should I ‘mess’ with you?” Haichi asked, tilting his head to side. ‘First off way toooo much butter and that’s like a sin ha ha and well all of them are Cosette’s favourite? That is stalker much Haichi.’ She silently mused to herself at how Haichi seemed to adore Cosette too much than normal. “Maple trees are like extinct you know? As well as coconut juice and the French bread recipe are almost super pricy to get!”Sora explained to tell Haichi how rare the food Cosette was craving for, not to mention that French bread she be eaten without anything with it as opposed to the French bread that was doused with butter that he had brought. “Oh . . . well my parents are trying to revive nearly extinct trees and stuff through the utilization of the crystal and we got the recipe from a friend who wanted to have some cacao seeds and my dad said why not?” Haichi nonchalantly answered to Sora’s rant. He smiled sheepishly at her; he was clearly unaware of how his life was absolutely vastly different from most people. “Ah I see. Okay.” Sora replied and nodded, unsure of what to even say anymore since the male was rather a clueless dude. “Did you and Raiden already eat breakfast? I can’t eat alone.” She pouted childishly and changed the topic. “You can wait for Cosette you know?” Haichi smiled brightly. “I’d like to eat with h-“his remark was interjected by Sora’s loud stomach grumbling. “Uh can I eat with you guys? I don’t think I can touch Cosette’s favourite meals.” She bashfully said and rubbed the back of her nape and Haichi’s eyes widened. “Of course- that makes perfect sense! No one but Cosette-chan alone should enjoy her breakfast! Okay follow me into the dining hall~!” he cheered before Sora hushed him once more. ‘Gah dining hall?! That’s insane, how is a dope like him so filthy rich?’she wondered at the back of her mind ~Few minutes to dining hall~ “Wow your dining hall is very large.” Sora uttered in amazement as how the room was larger than even her very own home. “Wow, really? We planned on renovating it even bigger. Like twice as big.” Haichi simply stated innocently as he spread his arms widely. Sora’s nerve popped a bit at his remark, ‘the guy is unintentionally being too show-off. What to do?’ she wondered to herself. “Haichi-sama your parents are approaching the dining hall in a few minutes from now. Please take your seat with your friend.” An old butler suddenly popped out of thin air to Sora’s surprise. She nearly experienced a close to death heart attack. Haichi’s eyes then widened as huge as plates. “Oh my goodness, oh my Mr Fletcher- what should I do? They shouldn’t see Sora yet.” He squeaked and grabbed Sora’s arm to the young woman’s surprise. Haichi quickly pulled her into another door the opposite direction from where they had entered. “Make an excuse for me Mr Fletcher!” the young man called out with a pleading look before leaving the room with his teammate. “Hey where are we going now?” Sora whispered to Haichi- surprised that he didn’t want her to be seen. Was it because of her nature or status? She frowned slightly at the thought and didn’t hear the guy’s explanation at all. “Stay here for some time until I get back~!” Haichi told her before practically shoving her into the room. ~Dining Room~ “Ah Mr Fletcher, where’s Haichi my boy?” a middle-aged man asked the much older one. “Hmmm. . . It seems he has gotten himself an upset stomach and is currently- relieving himself.” The old man coughed awkwardly with a sheepish smile. “Oh my poor little boy, he probably ate too much last night.” The man’s wife reacted in worry as she hugged her husband’s arm tightly. She longed for comfort from her husband and the male easily provided it as he patted her head. The old butler could not help but wonder how he did not retire yet. “Hey mom and dad~ I’m back!” Haichi called out to them as he jogged back into the room with a relieved smile. “Are you okay now?!” the mother asked while she began checking his temperature, pulse and such in complete concern. “Mooom!” Haichi blushed. “My friends are here. It’s embarrassing me.” He pouted childishly as his mother pinched his cheeks. “You’re still my little baby boy Chi-chi.” The mother cooed as Haichi puffed his cheeks. ~~~~ Sora’s location ~~~~ Oof! Sora quickly fell on her bottom on the floor. The young woman was really surprise he acted in such a pushy manner- literally at this time. “The room is nicely warm though.” Sora decided to herself. ‘After experiencing a very cool room that made Cosette seek her body warmth. Er, that sounded wrong but anyways it is nice to feel such a very warm and somewhat steamy room to help me relax. Even for just a few minutes.’ she thought giddily. “Mmmm . . . warm.” she quietly murmured to herself while she rubbed her sore shoulder and closed her eyes for a moment. Sora was currently too lazy to even get up from the floor and instead actually decided to lie down on the fuzzy rug that was there as well. It was so relaxing to her that it seemed like she was located in a hot spring. Bubbling and streaming sounds of water seemed to fill the woman’s ears for a moment like a harmonious melody. “Aaah this is the life. Rose would probably never want to leave this place.” Sora quietly murmured to herself and stretched out her arms before using them as a head support. She then heard something creak and Sora blinked her eyes. Right then a small thud sounded so she immediately opened her eyes. Somebody was here in the room as well! ‘Damn that Haichi!’ Sora internally cursed the male as the person stepped out from another room, just above her head. The feet of the person were ever so nicely shaped without any callous of sorts. The ankles were so evenly shaped and very dainty like. The legs had been pretty much clear and smooth like that of a woman’s . . . freshly shaved though. Sora continued to peer up from the thigh unknowingly- seemingly following what was present like a young child. The legs had been shaped very nicely and- Sora’s jaw quickly dropped. “Bu-bubba buh- buh.” she started to stammer at the sight as her emerald colored green eyes then quickly looked up to see a very clearly shocked person’s jade colored eyes as well. Both of the two went into a screeching mode like a bunch of sissies. Well more of Sora really as she tried to get up and just ended up blocking the person’s legs as the person tried to run away but tripped on her. Ouch! Sora winced as the person scrambled to get away but it just ended up tangling the two of them into a very awkward position. The brunette woman had grown weary of screaming but the other person seemed not to so she covered his mouth with her hand. “Shh calm down Rai.” Sora hushed the male. She sighed softly as her head ached a bit. This seemed to happen too often- gravity wasn’t really that kind to both of them. His greenish forest-colored eyes were shooting and darting everywhere in frantic while Sora simply sweat dropped. ’What was he so worried about? This already happened once so-‘Sora looked down a bit and gawked slightly. Only a towel hung around the male’s waist while his upper body was uncovered. Sora’s cheeks started to heat up slightly. ‘Goodness what have I done to deserve this?!’she cursed herself. (Rose: Very good things I suppose.) “Get off of me now Raiden!” Sora wailed and tried to push him off but then realized that she was touching his bare chest. The skin of the male felt ever so warm and with water drops still slightly trickling on him. Sora got even redder. His scent was fresh and woody like the forest and woods where warriors commonly stayed during training. ‘He smells a bit husky and so masculine and very a- aww goodness I need to get away from this dude’ Sora cut her own thoughts off. “Raiden stand up now” Sora rushed him as she let her hands fall down onto her sides. “I’m trying!” he whined while his face was completely a hot red mess as he tried to push himself off the woman but it appeared like he was pinning her on the floor- or Sora’s mind was too active in its imagination. Sora tried to breathe in slowly and calm herself while the man continued to panic and eventually pale at the situation. Sora pushed him in a single focus of her strength onto his bottom. The man seemed to regain color and he sighed in relief before turning to look against Sora. “Why are you here?! Haichi was supposed to get you two breakfasts!” he demanded so forcefully. It was unlike his earlier demeanor of nearly dying in embarrassment. He was such a two-face. “Well that’s the same guy who pushed me here after his parents were about to see me. What’s his problem?” Sora frowned and crossed my arms. The young man then looked at her in understanding. “They might assume that you’re his girlfriend that’s all.” He told her. “Don’t take it personal.” He shrugged as she sweat dropped. ~ Some time ago~ “Oh Haichi I didn’t know you were-” Haichi’s mother told him in a very awkward manner trying to laugh at the situation albeit hoarsely. “Ha-Hai-ha ha I can’t believe this.” The father started laughing in disbelief before fainting into Mr. Fetcher’s arms. “Your father and I are soooo glad to have found out that you have a special someone now.” She smiled at him. “We weren’t expecting you were leaning into males but-“ “Uhh. . .” Raiden felt extremely awkward at the realization of what was going on at the moment. “Your dad is so surprised ha ha. He’ll wake up in a few hours hopefully and didn’t go onto heaven to celebrate it with the angels.” The woman said as she drank a goblet of water, her hands shaking slightly. “Mom- please let me finish.” Haichi told her in exasperation. ~~~ Finish~~~~ “Oh probably like when they met Cosette huh?” Sora said somewhat in understanding. “Well er . . . They already sort of have met her with a ‘friend’ idea placed.” The man explained awkwardly. “So . . . Oh my goodness Raiden!” Sora gaped at him. “Are you two raging homosexuals?!” she asked in amazement. (Rose: Hot yaoi?) “No no no no! I didn’t hear anything.” Raiden told her well more of himself and covered his ears. “La la la.” He sang to himself to distract himself. Sora merely sweat dropped. “Oh come on- I was kidding. Don’t take it too seriously. You’re too masculine and hot to be gay.” She told him before slightly blushing at the last part. “What?” Raiden’s ears seemed to perk at the last part. “You’re straight now get dressed!” Sora ordered the male. “Oh right.” Raiden blushed. “Back home it was very alright to stay pretty much half-naked.” He shared offhandedly. Sora gawked- even. . . “Except girls- they often wore a bra or something. I can’t see how they manage to protect themselves with that though.” He said with a sweat-drop. “Barely covers any skin.” He added while he shook his head. “Yeah get going!” Sora told him, she raised her hands against her face. “I can’t change clothes if you’re here.” Raiden blushed. “Unless . . . you had wanted to watch.” The male smirked at her for a moment; Sora looked at him with a plain and blank face. “Uhh I was kidding you know!” the male shrieked at her and threw a pillow at her from the nearby bed. “Get out now.” He ordered her. “Aww when I was actually hoping to see you.” Sora teased him and he shot her a glare. “Wait never mind, never saw anything impressive really.” She shot at him while she yawned and got up. Raiden immediately blushed a million shades of red. “Y-You’re lying!!!!”he shouted in protest. “Ha ha I’m out~” Sora laughed, simply waving him off and went out of the room.
