Destiny Voyage- Deadline Encroahing Both people sighed inwardly as Sora walked outside and Raiden remained in the room. Different thoughts were on the minds of both individuals about the recent happenings. ‘Gah that was embarrassing- but really I should stay on track. I need to find Robin and talk to him today…. I should probably ask Cosette where she had searched last night to cross off some sections of the Capital’ the young woman planned to herself in determination as her emerald green eyes flared at the thought and she pumped her first up. The male however paced slightly back and forth in the room as if a mouse. He glanced at the mirror to see his face still red as ever- probably out of anger at Sora, not at all of embarrassment! How dare she reduce his manliness?! She was so annoying. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ “Oh goodness where are your little friends now my darling son?” the woman cooed her son and wrapped her arms around him. “I’ve heard that there’s an added little friend who came along…” the mother drifted along the word to emphasize her point. “A pretty little girl was it according to our maids who I interrogated a while ago!” the woman grinned and cheered while hugging her son. “I’m so proud of you Haichi!!!” she told while nearly in tears of joy. “Yeah perhaps she’s not as uptight as your other teammate.” The father uttered while imagining the primp blondette fussing over her eye cream that were made of special rose of Sharon and not the lavender colored rose she had wanted in the first place. He sighed inwardly not understanding why his son wanted a girl who was as costly as his wife. Freudian complexities it seemed were the logical explanation. “Moom!!!” Haichi complained while trying to get away from the death grip lock of his mother’s arms. “She’s just a friend too!” he pouted and crossed his arms. “Plus I think she and Raiden have a thing for each other.” He muttered to himself, his face blushing bright red at the remembrance of the awkward events that he had witnessed himself. “Well then that’s unacceptable!” declared the mother to his offspring in defiance. “You shall have the young woman and not him! You are certainly more perfect as a father than that hot headed glory driven boy is.” The woman told him while Haichi merely sunk his head in defeat. He wanted to shake his head right now at the obliviousness of his mother to his situation and explanation. However there was a difference concerning about his other teammate. Not only was his mother clearly perceptive and blunt about it, well about Raiden, ( Sorry Rai) but she was as stubborn as hell and wouldn’t stop until she get what she wants- even what she wanted for her own beloved son was something he did not want. He was definitely worried right now. “Bring us the girl!” the woman ordered while pointing at the door, as if a pirate captain ordering her crew. Her son and husband, the duo -make it the trio males sweat dropped at the remark and action, the butler could not help really but be in awe of his masters. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ “Hey Raiden-kun are you still trying to figure out where your manhood is?” teased Sora from outside while rubbing her growling stomach. “I’m hungry! Come out!” she prodded the male while kicking the door with her heel. She was situated in a position of rest on the door. Whoosh. “Oh my goodness!” The door swung open and she fell right into the arms of Raiden- her face in a clear surprise and shock. “Yeah clearly I do question my capacity to save damsels in distress.” The young male confidently told her while rolling his green eyes and helping her up. “There you go.” He replied while dusting her shoulders. “Resting on doorways is pretty idiotic you know?” he remarked to Sora’s utter embarrassment as her face turned bright red. “You had been taking soooo long!” she simply pointed out and the man just shrugged. “Not only girls take time dressing up?” he chuckled as the girl merely shook her head. “Quit with the I’m so open about freedom and equality for all people.” The girl remarked waving her hand around in jeering. “What’s your problem- grab some food and calm down already.” Raiden rolled his eyes and grabbed her wrist then began dragging her towards the hallway. The young woman simply pouted and let herself be dragged- albeit making herself heavier than usual. The young man hardly seemed bothered or noticed it at all. Sora simply sighed heavily- it was already a long day it seemed without any progress. Whereas she was getting dragged from one situation unto the next one- it was tiresome already. ‘I have to find him today or else I’ll have less than 24 hours to search for him. After breakfast I go straight to searching I swear!’ she promised herself confidently. ~After Breakfast:~ “Oh darling Sora would you like to help me and Haichi do our grocery and shopping today? I could use some help from you.” the woman smiled as she asked permission . . . subtly ordered the younger woman. Haichi simply gaped at the thought. "Mom?” the young man started to speak up in protest. Raiden made a ‘kill yourself’ sign towards her and Cosette simply sipped her juice from a super bendy straw. The young lady was simply caught in a beautiful stupor at how amazing her fresh cucumber and pineapple made juice was prepared, it even featured a little hot pink umbrella. “Uh that sounds great Mom of Haichi-san.” The young brown haired woman sheepishly agreed and rubbed the back of her neck. ‘Goodness I really do wish I could kill myself like Raiden advised but nooo.’ She groaned inwardly to herself and barely stopped herself from slamming her face on the plate- for all she knew, the porcelain Chinese plate could have been from some kind of dynasty before and would be worth more than her life! ‘I have to go shoooping with Haichi’s mom and him and waste another precious 12 hours I believe at most.’ She thought to herself in utter dismay. Girls and women as far as she knew were known to shop a lot for they were completely indecisive and whatnot at times. When she worked as a Merchant, it was often the females in the guild that scoured the market and often used up all the hard-earned money they got from missions and whatnot. Also was the fact that Rose often bought a lot of clothes and her mother owned a lot of funny knick knacks  “Mom my friends and I have to go to a mission today.” Haichi whined immaturely to his mother who simply gave him a glare and the young man was quickly cowering behind Cosette’s chair. Sora sweat dropped, Haichi was a Chosen One to defend their home from monsters and all evil things but was scared of his own mother. It was great really, really hilarious she thought with an inward sigh. “Mmm…. Maple really is the best syrup.” Cosette remarked which was something like a tension breaker, however she seemed to not even notice the cowering Haichi right behind her. “Ah yes- it was quite difficult to get a tree remnant from the old Canada where it’s not a completely frozen wasteland.” The father remarked while sipping some of his hot chocolate drink, finding the situation on hand completely normal now. “As is this cacao that I'm drinking- you’d have to face a heat almost as terrible as the sun to get any left dried up beans.” He shared to them as they stared at him in amazement. “Well more of toasted really but they make great chocolate chips.” The man uttered along with a small chuckle. “Did you travel to get them?” Sora asked clearly amazed at the thought of leaving the corners of the shield. “Well I had some people help me.” The man sheepishly told them, soon starting to tell them a tale about his own team who went out of the whole protected region, however he said that it was all thanks to his team that he made it out. “Still travelling out of the Capital whether on your own or not as well as the protective barrier is a dangerous and deathly adventure still.” She remarked to the man in awe. “One can’t help but really need trusted people to come along.” She smiled at him kindly, a dimple forming. The father of Haichi felt a bit proud and simply nodded and continued to sip his chocolate drink. Perhaps for the first time, his wife had a brilliant idea to let the girl become Haichi’s betrothed. “Anyways darling dear- we should get going.” The woman smiled at her while Raiden massaged his forehead at the sickeningly sweet voice of Haichi’s mother. “Now dear,, a one day rest isn’t going to hurt you right?” remarked the mother at the male, however it seemed to Raiden that it was directed at him and not the son. “If anything- I’ll just pay you to relax with your mother and spend time with her.” Haichi’s mother gave him the puppy dog eyes. “Moom… one week worth of salary.” He told her while sniffing, finally relenting at the thought of getting paid as well as the look given. “Deal!” the woman clapped and hugged her son. “Oh we’ll go shopping for clothes and perfume and shoes!” she said gleefully while Haichi grimaced secretly. Sora wasn’t that excited as well- maybe if it had been another day then yes. Today she had better things to deal with- like achieving her goal of finding Robin for peach sake. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ “So you’re letting me- I mean us go?!” Sora shrieked at Raiden who merely yawned at her while polishing his obsidian sword. “Why yes?” he shrugged. “Is there a problem with it?” he prodded her nonchalantly. “You agreed first to his mom’s whims.” The young male remarked while the young woman puffed and huffed her breath. “I can’t deny people- the customer is often right!” she told him in exhaustion to which he just ignored. “Well that’s your downfall- I get to relax while you get to be dragged around and be forced into frilly little dresses.” Raiden chuckled as he stretched and rested on the couch, reclining his feet for a moment. “I have to go somewhere!” Sora wailed loudly at him while the man quirked a brow. “Where do you possibly want to be now?” he piqued, sounding a bit interested. She had nowhere to be right now and even got lost yesterday. “Do you wanna go home?” he teased in a babyish tone while the young woman shot a glare at him. “No but I have more important matters to deal with.” She vaguely worded it, hoping the man to get a hint and the man simply didn’t notice it. “Yeah we all do- I have a quest to gain honour and you need to be a part of it. Right now we got a week amount of gold if you force a smile and laugh along Haichi’s mom jokes so smile.” Raiden spoke to her and poke Sora’s cheek. “Aww it’s so squishy.” He remarked while the girl pouted at him. “Gah you are so annoying.” She grumbled at him and waved his finger off her cheek. “I’m leaving.” She turned away and went out of the door, her feet stamping on the floor. “Get me some food or weapons or anything valuable for a mission!” Raiden called out chuckling a bit, returning his attention to the precious thing in his hand. “Aren’t you worried Rai-kun that Haichi’s mom will like Sora a little bit too much?” Cosette asked Raiden, suggesting that a wedding might suddenly erupt unknowingly and they figure it out at the last minute when the bells start ringing. Inwardly Cosette had been wishing she had been able to come as well. Her makeup and beauty products had to get replenished too you know? “Pfft not even one little bit Cossie.” Raiden replied to the young woman and tried to stop himself from grinning as he stretched his arms. “I doubt that a little bit too much. Sora’s not girlfriend material at all.” He shrugged, rather calm and non-caring at the idea given to him by his teammate, Cosette could overanalyse things sometimes. “She’d end up making a good friend but not the kind of woman Haichi’s mom would want him to be married to for the rest of his life.” The young man continued to explain to her. He began citing some details like Sora seemed to eat like a pig, left her toothbrush in the sink and whatnot. They had only stayed together for one night but he had already taken note of the young brunette’s rather unorganized lifestyle. “You have nothing to worry about Cosette.” He smiled a bit at her. “I-I’m not worried!” denied the woman with a furious tone as her face and even ears turned bright red. “I’m just concerned…” she explained quietly to him, her head sinking into defeat. “Why?” he asked in amazement, that was an incredulous thought that never occurred to him.
