"I swear, Aria, I can explain what really happened. I didn't mean to offend you or make it seem like I left you alone to deal with something else. I really can explain,” I rushed to explain, my words tumbling out.
“Yes, you can explain, Xavier, but not to me,” she said, finally releasing herself from my grip and closing the door behind her.
“s**t!” I exclaimed loudly, sinking onto the bed. There's no explanation I can give her, none. I messed up by lying in the beginning.
At this point, there's nothing I can do. I don't know what to do. I hope she'll listen to me tomorrow morning, but for now, I need to rest. It's been a long day, and I would rather not add to it.
