“You can follow that man, he'll show you where you can stay. I need to see my wife, it's been a long day,” I said, turning to Mia, who was now standing in the middle of the road.
“Who? Your wife?” she asked, surprised.
“Oh yeah, sorry I didn't mention it earlier. I have a wife now,” I replied. She didn't say anything, just nodded slowly and gave me a slight smile.
“So, I have to go do some things now, and like I said before, you can always ask them for anything you want. See you later, Mia,” I said.
“Thank you, Xavier,” I could hear her say as I walked towards my room.
