We stood there for a moment, looking into each other's eyes. "What do you want?" he said, breaking the silence with his manly, coarse but cool voice. “Nothing," I said, feeling his heartbeat under my chest. I tried to move away from him, but his hands were holding my waist tightly. “Who are you?" he asked, looking directly into my eyes. “Let me go and I will tell you," I said, trying to sound confident. “Why should I?" he said, smiling widely. “Because you have to," I said, almost immediately. He smirked and released my hands. "Well, you are the Rain Girl," he said, raising an eyebrow. “My name is Aria," I said as I walked to the other side of the room. He pulled me back from the waist to his chest. "You are the Rain Girl," he said, smiling as he released me again. I rolled my eyes at him. "Hey," I said, trying to sound annoyed. “It's Xavier," he said in a serious tone. “I..." but I was interrupted by a call. He picked up his phone and said, "I will be there now." He signaled at me and then left, leaving me with more questions than answers. The next morning, I was woken up by a call from Amy. “Hello,I’m so sorry Aria. I missed your call.” “It’s fine Amy,I will call you back.” I said as I stood up from the bed. I looked around the room for Xavier, but he was nowhere to be found. Something on the table caught my attention, and I walked towards it. It was a letter addressed to me. I opened it, and it read, "At the back of this paper, there is a number. It will take you to your destination. Be good, Rain Girl, and stay safe." I smiled at the letter, but another part of me felt sad at the thought of not seeing Xavier again. “He’s a stranger Aria and that I would be getting married in five days. I went to the bathroom, dressed up, and left a thank you note before leaving the guest suite. As I stepped out, I realized that I had to face my reality and prepare for my upcoming marriage. XAVIER’S POV I packed my car, waiting for my driver to come with the second car. A few minutes later, I got a text from him saying that something had come up, and he would take the car directly to the house. I sighed, knowing that I would have to drive myself. As I was about to enter my car, I heard a man shouting at a lady across the road. I turned back to look at the man and then looked away. Something caught my attention, so I looked back again, and I saw her. She looked devastated and lost. Her hair was packed in a messy bun with her caramel skin reflecting under her pajamas. I couldn’t see her clearly, but something about her was different. I watched as she hurriedly ran from the road and started walking. Just as I was about to start the car, I saw her sitting on a bench across the road. Suddenly, the rain started pouring down, and I watched as she got completely drenched. I couldn't bring myself to leave her there in the rain. I got out of the car and walked towards her. As I approached her, I got a clearer view of her face. Her deep brown eyes looked up at me, never leaving mine. She was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen. I held her hand, trying to pull her from the rain, but she was adamant. I lifted her up without saying anything and carried her towards the car, and she didn't move an inch. When we got into the car, she still didn't say anything. "Where are you headed?" I asked, breaking the silence. "No where," she replied with a low voice. "You don't have a house?" I asked, confused. "I do, but I don't want to go," she replied, her head bent. Her phone rang loudly, and it was her mum calling, but she didn't answer. "You won't pick your call too?" I asked. "No, I won't," she said immediately. I switched to the driver's seat and drove off. As I was driving, I watched her consistently in the mirror. She was now lost in thought, looking out the window. I drove into the My Suite gate and opened the back door. "Can you walk?" I asked her. "Yes," she said shivering as she came down from the car. I could see her body revealing through her pyjamas. I removed my suit jacket and used it to cover her as we entered. I could feel all eyes on her. I understood that this was the first time I would be coming here with a woman. She followed behind me as we walked towards the room. As I opened the door, I saw the surprise in her eyes. I understood it. This was the biggest room in the whole suite. "You can stay here," I said. As I turned, she stopped me by holding my hand. "What is your name?" she asked, looking into my eyes. I looked down at her hands and then back to her face. I hated being touched, but it didn’t bother me. "My name is Xavier. I will be back," I said, leaving the room. As I walked down to the gate, I kept thinking about the mystery girl. I kept getting attracted to her, and I hated how she made me feel so soft. I saw my driver walking towards me with a brown bag. "Take it to my room," I said as I ran towards my car. One hour later, I came back inside. I couldn't find her in the room. with fear, I checked the corners of the room for her. And then, I heard the sound of the shower and I felt relieved. I laid on the bed with my eyes closed, lost in thought thinking about what had happened today and my mind drifted to her and why I feel so attracted to her. My thought were interrupted as I heard the sound of the bathroom door opened, and I heard her stop at the other side of the room. Some minutes later, I could hear her footsteps coming closer towards me. I could perceive the strawberry fragrance from the soap as she came closer to me. She stopped right at my back, unknown to her my eyes were open, and I could see her shadow reflecting opposite me. She raised her hands up about to touch me, and I quickly held her hands, making her fall directly into my chest, looking directly into her deep brown eyes. I could hear her heart beating loudly, making the tension between us thick. I became lost in her eyes, not knowing what to say or do at that moment, I could feel a connection with her and it scared me but still, I didn't want to let her go. "What do you want?" I asked, breaking the silence. Nothing," She said, with a soft tone which made my heart raise. She tried to move away from me,but I tightened my grip around waist “Who are you?" I asked, looking directly into her eyes. “let me go and I will tell you,” she said. “Why should I” I said teasingly . “Because you have to,” she said almost immediately. She’s a tough one, I thought to myself I released her hands, “well... you are the Rain Girl,” I said almost smiling. “My name is Aria,” she said as She walked to the other side of the room. I walked towards her and pulled me back from the waist to my chest,” You are the Rain Girl” I said smiling and I released my grip again. I could see her roll at her eyes at me. I love teasing her already. “Hey,” she said. “It’s Xavier,” i said in a serious tone. “I ... “ but She was interrupted by the call from my driver “I will be there now” I said to him and i left. I came back in the midnight, she was fast asleep. I walked towards her, raised her hair from her face and I looked at her closely. She was looking more beautiful. I wanted to touch her more but I had to save myself from this beautiful stranger. I dropped the letter and left.
