“What did she say?” I asked Ethan as soon as he walked into the office.
“Oh, I haven't asked her yet. I just told her your mom is around, and she should inform you of the dinner, but she refused. Instead, she begged me to tell you myself, so here I am,” he replied with a smile.
“Are you sure this is the best approach for handling the situation? There might be better ways to go about it.”
