"Lucas, when we get there honey you behave, if someone approaches you, you give them your most sincere smile. Okay honey?" Kate said to Lucas, gently brushing his hair with her fingers.
'Just show them how good you are baby, I'll take care of the rest.'
She then left Lucas in his room for a minute to look for Ace.
She thought that it was only going to be a normal family gathering, but it turns out, they planned a grand party to officially welcome Lucas to the family, which was totally out of Kate's expectations.
"Ace?" Kate called, opening the door to the room that she and Ace once shared.
She cautiously looked around and saw a suit hanging on a rack. It was perfectly steamed and the fabric was clearly made from a very expensive silk.
Kate continued snooping around the room, and when she turned around, she almost fainted because of what she saw. There beside the closet with his arms crossed was Ace with a broad grin on his face.
He was having fun looking at Kate, and since she was too distracted she didn't notice that he had just come out of the bathroom door.
Ace was on full display, with just a thin white cloth covering his lower half.
Kate couldn't take her eyes off of him from shock, but she also couldn't help ogle his body.
She started from his toned chest that was still wet, with little droplets of water falling down. Slowly moving her eyes to his six-pack abs that had streaks of hair forming at the centre, and finally to his perfectly formed mermaid line.
Kate couldn't help but swallow a mouthful of saliva from what she was seeing.
And when her eyes finally travelled their way down to his waist, and in between his strong and hairy strong legs, she immediately moved away her gaze, wanting to erase the crazy thoughts out of her mind.
'Damn it Kate! You can't fall for his charms.!' She wanted to hit herself, to get her mind straight.
"You don't have to be shy," Ace said with an enticing voice, walking up to Kate.
And when he was in front of her, he moved his face close to her ears and whispered something that made Kate stagger on her feet.
"You already touched all of me, don't you remember?" Ace whispered, softening his voice, slowly taking control of her hand, letting her feel his chest, moving down to his waist. Kate wanted to get free at that moment but her body and mind wouldn't cooperate.a
"You even let me in you." When he was about to let her have a feel of his clothed crotch, Kate regained herself and pushed him at once with all her might, her hand shivering from what happened.
"Y-you!" Kate yelled lowly, her voice cracking, as she pointed her fingers at Ace, her eyes fuming with anger.
"You are unbelievable!" Kate shouted, her face all flustered as she stormed out of his room.
Ace snickered at her reaction, as he watched her getting all riled by his teasing. Thinking that it was her who was seducing him first, although unintentional, since to him, she was a natural temptress.
...
Outside in the corridor, Kate was still fuming, mumbling things out loud as she paced back and forth, taking all her grievances of Ace out.
"What's wrong with that guy?! Is he just a natural pervert who doesn't respect a woman's boundaries?!" She whispered, wanting to kick the pot of plant that was right in front of her.
"Ugh!!! I'm so annoyed, I wish I could just slap him all over his face a hundred times." She gritted her teeth, looking at the direction of Ace's room, as she punched the air imagining it was Ace's face she was punching.
"But why does he have such a good body? I bet he exercises a lot for him to have such a good physique, even his biceps and arms are big." She suddenly mumbled out of nowhere, remembering the vivid images of Ace's body in her mind.
"What? Oh God! What am I thinking?!" She gripped her hair tightly and took a deep breath, calming herself down.
"I must be going crazy because of him. Sigh… I should get changed." She said, and walked to Lucas' room to get changed into her dress that Ace bought for her, specifically tailored for tonight's event.
…
An hour later, Ace patiently waited for Kate downstairs, with Lucas sitting beside him.
"Lucas, Buddy, are you okay? Are you scared tonight?" Ace softly asked his son who was playing sudoku on the couch.
"Not really, I have you and mommy there. So I know I'll be alright." Lucas said, looking up at Ace.
Ace was contended with what his son said, he ruffled his hair and continued waiting for Kate to finish up.
And finally, after a long time of pacing and waiting for her, he could hear the sound of her heels nearing the stairs. And as he gazed upwards, anticipating her appearance, his mind was left in a haze as he saw Kate.
She slowly made her way down the stairs, her dress flowed gracefully with every step, accentuating her curves in a way that left Ace mesmerised.
The fiery red hue perfectly complemented her hazel eyes, which seemed to hold an air of mystery and allure.
The silver earrings she wore sparkled like stars, adding a touch of elegance to her ensemble. And that tear-shaped necklace gently rested on her slender neck, drawing attention to the graceful curve of her throat.
It was as if the jewellery was carefully chosen to accentuate her natural beauty.
As Ace's gaze met hers, he couldn't help but feel captivated. There was something about the way she carried herself, with a mix of confidence and vulnerability, that made her irresistible to him.
"You're beautiful," he whispered softly, his eyes examining every inch of her. But his words couldn't fully convey the depth of his admiration towards her.
Kate's response was a subtle hum, leaving Ace curious about what was going on in her mind. He knew she was still probably upset about his teasing earlier, but he couldn't resist the temptation to tease her further. After all, he found her reactions to his playful antics utterly enchanting.
"We should go… we're already running late." She said, walking past Ace.
Ace could only give her attitude a light snicker, thinking of how adorable she is when she's being feisty.
