The walk home was awkward.     Theo had brought along another friend named Harrison who I’d literally never met before today.  While Theo and Harrison talked and laughed, Phil hung back beside me with his head down, looking like he might cry any minute.  Tugging at his sleeve, I noticed that his eyes had red rims, like he had already been crying.  What the hell?     “What’s going on?” I whispered.     He just smiled.  It was a heartbreaking smile, the kind of smile that’s noticeably forced.  “It’s nothing.  Just a rough day,” he whispered back, gently bumping his arm into mine.  Phil wasn’t a good liar.  He was the type to have his emotions right there on his sleeve and, right now, it was easy to read that things weren’t okay.     He was always so kind.  I know Theo is my brother but h
