His secretary

Chapter 9

Emma's POV

He stood in the door, filling it, and hatred raged and flamed in the back of his eyes. I didn't miss the tension in the room as both men looked at each other as if ready to start a war right there and then.

Opening the door wide, Cain gestured to Alexander showing him the way out with his clenched fist. Alexander however, being the happy chap calmly stood up, gave me a quick peck on the cheek, before straightening his suit and walking out.

Well this totally went well than expected!

Slamming the door shut, my boss strode over to the chair next to my bed. I trembled frightfully, as he sat there his mouth shut but his eyes still eyeing me, anger written all over them.

He then stood up looked at the yellow roses and the fluffy pink teddy bear before he began to speak.

"These are from him, aren't they? Didn't I make it clear that you should stay away from that man? Seriously didn't you listen to a word I said to you? And look ooh your prince charming brought you some goodies. Ain't this wonderful?" He sneered tauntingly before doing the unexpected.

Taking the bear into his hands, he ripped it into two so much that the head and the body were separated.

Ooh the horror!! Taking the flowers also, he threw them to the ground, making sure he ground them with his Italian black loafers.

"Sir, what are you doing? Stop I said stop!" I cried looking at the yellow petals that spread on the ground.

But he kept going on and on like maniac, then he said," First man that shows interest in you and you're already all over him, are you seriously that pathetic?"

Okay now he had just crossed the line, tearing the innocent bear was one thing but going ahead and insulting me was another.

"You know what, screw you! Screw you Cain Powers!!!I have tolerated your s**t for so long but I have to stand up to you, you maniacal bully!!," I half shouted, my brain burned I was beyond angry......

He chuckled before walking back and forth and said,"Screw me?! Wow seems little miss Millers has a mouth now, did Alexander teach you all that? Huh?" He asked his eyes wide.

" What if he did?! What you gonna do? Rip his head just like you ripped my teddy bear apart? Looking at you now is just pitiful, you're so much different from your father,"I shouted...

"Don't you dare bring my dad into this, Millers! You don't wanna go there," he said pointing at me before the door opened and the nurse came in.

"What is going on here? Sir I'm gonna have you leave this room. Clearly you're stressing out the patient,"she said trying to get Cain out.

"As a matter of fact he is stressing me out," I said facing the other way.

"Millers, we are not done here, you hear me! And you, say goodbye to your job,"I heard him say before he left.

Well that would make two of us! Because I know when I go back home, I'm damn fired!!

Cain's POV

Alexander Monroe Valdez!! He was doing it all over again, it felt like deja vu.

Even as I saw him locking eyes with Millers, i got mad. I escorted him out before confronting Millers who played innocent as usual. Then the yellow roses and the disgusting teddy bear that sat looking at me, heck I ripped it apart and destroyed the damn flowers!

"You know what,screw you!Screw you, Cain Powers!!I have tolerated your s**t for so long, but I have to stand up to you, you maniacal bully," sh shouted.

I'm not sure that was a thing, but screw me?!

This was new, the little birdy had a mouth now...and she didn't just stop there, she went on insulting me that I was nothing like my father.....

That made me mad!!Ooh baby, you do not want to go there, you're the damn reason I turned out to be the way I am!!

" Don't you dare bring my dad into this, Millers. You don't wanna go there," I said pointing my finger at her before some weirdly dressed nurse stepped in.

After looking at the mess I made, she immediately ordered me to step out of the room.

Well this two ladies better get other jobs cause they're done!! To hell with Millers! To hell with the damn nurse!

After getting into the elevator, I made a quick call at work," David, I need a new secretary by Monday!"

"Sir, I thought you already have a secretary," David asked.

"Just do as you're told or else I'll have to get another operations manager too!"
