Chapter 3: Celebration

After securing the location for her 1 and 6th birthday celebration Catalina couldn't be more ecstatic. She had been dreaming of this moment since she was a little girl and now It was finally happening.

*Knock knock* "Rise and shine!" Said Tina. Little did she know Catalina was already awake because she could barely contain her excitement. She was just exiting the shower as she ran to her wardrobe to grab her gown. She wore a simple but elegant gold gown that draped down to her feet, and just as she began slipping her dainty toes into the heels Tina walked in. "Huuh!" Tina gasped. "Look at just how beautiful you are." She continued. She then made her way to the smiling Catalina and sat her down at the vanity. "I am so proud of you, and so is your father." Said Tina as she wrapped Catalina's golden locs into a bun. "And if Madalyn were here she would be proud of you as well." She added. "You think so!" Said Catalina. "I know so." Tina replied.

-As they joined her father and the other guests in the backyard for brunch, Catalina was the Belle of the ball as all eyes were on her. Benjamin quickly ran up to his daughter and pulled her in for a hug. "Cat you are so beautiful." He spoke. Cat smiled at her dad before replying "Thank you daddy." She said. "Come now I want you to meet someone." He said before pulling onto her arm and dragging her across the yard. As they came to a stop in front of a young gentleman Catalina furrowed her brow in confusion. He had on black slacks with a black undershirt and a white button up vest, as if he was a waiter for the party. His hair was tossed messily but he pulled it off and his big brown eyes pierced into her skin like a knife.

"Thomas, this is my daughter Catalina. Cat this is Nate's son Thomas." Benjamin finally spoke introducing the two. Thomas smiled nervously while running his fingers through his disheveled hair. Catalina tried to keep the disdain off of her face before she held out her hand inviting him in for a handshake. Benjamin slowly crept away leaving the pair all alone.

"Well this is a bit akward." Thomas spoke up chuckling aloud. "Indeed." Catalina gave a one word reply. The two stood there gazing at each other every once in a while in silence. "Catalina!" Tina called from afar. A slight smile crept up her cheek as she quickly dismissed herself and ran glad that she had an excuse to get out of that situation.

-It had been hours since brunch and all the guests returned home Benjamin walked over to Catalina as she helped Tina clean up the yard. "Sweetheart, thank you for doing this for me." He spoke. Catalina was a little taken aback "What do you mean daddy?" She replied. "Well, I spoke with Tina." He said as he glanced in Tina's direction "And she feels as if it would be best if she and I stayed back for you ball." He added. Catalina was surprised as she looked at the both of them. "Why on earth won't you be joining?" She questioned. "Cat you and I both know you don't want your old man partying with you on your big day, I trust you and we've decided you should spend the rest of your day among your peers. Have some fun sweetheart and be young because once it's all over you'll regret it if you don't." He finished before pecking onto Catalina's cheek. Catalina smiled hugging tightly onto her father as Tina smiled from the side. "Thank you daddy!" She replied excitedly.

-As the time came for Catalina's departure to her venue she waved goodbye to Tina and her father. *As she entered the ballroom and stood atop the stairs* Gasps were heard all around and Catalina's eyes lit up seeing the youths standing below her, there were humans and witches and wizards. Her father definitely had no knowledge of these guests because he had forbid her from being near the magic beings ever since a young age,this must have been Tina's doing.

She wore a poofy golden skirt that fanned out like a princess and a corset top of the same color with its mesh shoulder straps dropped down her arms as it cupped her cleavage nicely and her beautiful golden locs hung down her shoulders. Her dainty feet were in her glittery yellow heels and she had the biggest smile on her face, as she walked slowly down the stairs.

When she finally reached the bottom there was a young gentleman awaiting her as he reached his hand out and asked for her first dance. "What's your name?" Catalina asked as he spun her around. "Chase." He replied. Catalina giggled as he pulled her body closer to his body "I know you put on a innocent act but deep down your really just a easy sl*t." He whispered in her ear. Catalina's facial expression changed and she stared into his crystal blue eyes as he looked at her with a sly grin on his face. With everyone's eyes finally elsewhere she attempted to back away from him but he clenched to her even tighter "oh come on, Collin told me about everything. How you were so eager for him to f*ck you and how you were moaning for him and he barely even touched you." He spewed out. Catalina's eyes widen trying to find the words to reply but she was tongue tied. She kept thinking as she began to have a pounding headache, just then Chase moved his hand from her waist to her ass. "g-Get off, get o-off." She said trying to keep her calm in front of all these people." oh come on you and I both know you like it, let's go upstairs and I'll finish what he started." He whispered. "No you pervert let me go!" She ended up screaming this time. Chase's face went dark "You stupid b***h you think your special, your not even a witch just a stupid f*****g human." He yelled.

Suddenly everyone was staring at them Catalina pushed him away and ran up the stairs leaving everyone gasping.

Catalina

I ran out of the venue with tears rolling down my cheeks, how could I be so stupid. To think I was special, that I was just as good as the witches. That they would actually accept me, he made me feel like a fool. Like some cheap w***e, maybe that's what I have to look forward to. I'll be some wizards mistress and nothing more. All the lucky kids were gonna be going to Magestia High and I would be having yet another year at tingsburg K-12. As I arrived at the house the. driver opened the door and let me out, I knocked on the door and a maid answered. I pushed past her and made my way upstairs as I jumped onto the bed and began sulking, not realizing I had gotten a bit loud and started to scream like a mad woman.

When Tina informed me of Catalina's arrival I was surprised she was back so early. It didn't take me long to realize things had gone wrong when I heard her gut wrenching wails of pain. I wanted to console her but then I heard Tina's footsteps. "Do you hear that?" She asked. "Of course I do what happened?" I reply. "Theres something I need to tell you." She said. My eyes looked up in confusion as she stared at me deeply.

After she finished talking my heart began to ache Tina had never informed that Catalina was feeling this way, all these years I thought I was protecting her but by the sound of her screams I was hurting her. I didn't want to do it but I should at least give her an option. I HAVE TO TELL HER MADALYN SECRET.
