Mixed feelings

After the initial mishap between the duo, they fell into an awkward silence, Aden thinking of how to approach a lady,since he's not even sure he has wooed a lady in the real sense of it before now, and this lady is just what he needed, beauty and brain. he looked over to see if she was starring but she was looking out the window and sitting as far away from him as she could, a chuckle escaped from Aden and that made Tega turned and looked into his face to see what was amusing but he didn't say anything rather he kept a straight face and kept on driving, Tega began to reason within her, what if he was a serial killer who pick girls from the road side just for the thrill of killing them, she looked cautiously around the car, she spotted a red stain close to her leg on the right side of the car and her heart skipped a beat, several questions going through her mind,what if that was blood, what if he will kill her once they get to a secluded place, the way he offer to drive her to Oklahoma after he learnt she was going that way looked suspicious to her. he had simply said she shouldn't worry about dropping in the next town that he'll take her all the way and she was grateful until now, she kept thinking what if "all the way" meant death to him. she pinched herself to snap out of it, looking closely at his face, she studied him and she felt a calm wash over her, she feels he may be rough around the edges but he was a good man though how rough he is, is yet to be determined, she decided to start a conversation and so she asked what he does for a living, he said he has a chain of businesses, for example he buys off struggling business and makes something good out of them then he made an example of the graphics studio he just purchase and Tega snapped at him "you!!! you did this to me" out of shock for the sudden change in mood and outburst he asked "did what" she had to do a few breathing exercise to calm her nerves before answering him, she went ahead to tell to him, the graphics studio he bought was her work place and she got fired because they sold to him, Aden felt air has been knocked out of his pipe, he didn't know or he has never cared about what becomes of the employees of the companies he acquires and now he is face to face with the consequences of his action, and a delicious consequence at that, well his mama always told him "actions taken always have a way of coming back to bite you" now this was a woman he liked alot even at first glance, how would he handle this. "way to go Aden" he gave himself a mental thumbs down.
