Chapter Two

1159 Words
Brenda’s POV I laid on my bed and scrolled through my phone watching some funny videos so I could while away time—not until I saw a picture of Gary and his girlfriend posted by one of his numerous fans. I was so clouded with hate that I didn’t think twice before commenting, “Such a bonehead,” I said with all hatred left in me. Hissing out loudly, I dropped my phone beside me and hugged my pillow tight. Deep down, I still missed Gary a lot and I found it hard to believe that we’ve broken up. It’s already been two years and I really can’t stand the thought that another girl could probably be sleeping in his arms at that moment. I was still lost in thoughts when different notifications started popping into my phone, shocking me to the core. I wasn’t a social type, but what could be happening? I opened my phone and saw about a hundred replies underneath my comment, making me start regretting why I insulted Gary. “You’ll probably be one of those girls dying for him, and who knows if he rejected you because you’re not up to his standard,” Out of all the comments, this was the only one that managed to get to me. “Such a motherfucker,” Another comment said. “See an actual bonehead calling our Gary a bonehead,” “You’re such a dunce,” I was so tired of scrolling and reading replies until my eyes caught sight of something that made me feel like I was dreaming. Mr Strange replied! The only celebrity crush that I’ve fallen in love with without even knowing him or seeing his real face. “Baby, what’s going on here?” He replied as he tagged me—making cold shivers run down my spine. “He referred to me as his baby?” I couldn’t believe my eyes, so I cleaned it thoroughly before staring at the screen of my phone again. “Does he even know who I am?” I wondered when I noticed something. All the hate comments stopped, as most of them started messaging me privately to just know if I was dating him but I knew better—I snubbed them. I just couldn’t believe that the famous Mr Stranger who is a great philanthropist and who also addresses people’s plight could help me. “Or could it be that he knows me?” I thought and sighed slowly—still going through my phone. I was still scrolling on my phone when I saw a post Gary made about his fiancée and how much he loved her. I zoomed in and out of the picture and suddenly developed a heartache when I saw how touchy they looked in the picture. His caption was, “I want to thank you so much Flakes for being everything to me, and for being my support—I promise to love and cherish you forever,”. I hissed and dropped my phone on the bed, groaning slightly. “I truly need to go somewhere, where I could forget my worries even if it’s for a moment,” I thought, and there was only one place that came to my mind. “A club,” I thought, and slowly—a wry smile appeared on my lips. I stood up from the bed and went to my room to prepare for my outing. I truly needed something that would divert my attention from all the things happening to me, and going to the club for the first time wouldn’t be a bad idea. I slipped into a black short dress with tiny straps around the hand and wore black heels. I let my hair fall loose on my back, and it reached my waistline. I decided to put on a little makeup, and it didn’t turn out to be a bad idea after all. “Looking good huh?” I asked, taking a peek of myself in the mirror. After I was sure that I looked pretty, I walked out of the house with only one place in mind. “Arcade zone” A few minutes later, I arrived there and the loud music thumped through the air, the dance floor was packed with bodies moving to the beat. The room was filled with laughter and shouts as people drank and danced the night away. The lights were dimmed, but colorful lights flashed across the ceiling, adding to the party atmosphere. The scent of alcohol and sweat hung in the air, mingling with the sweet smell of perfume and cologne. It was a chaotic, sensory overload of a place, but it was also a lot of fun but unfortunately, I wasn’t in the mood. I was currently down— I beckoned on the bartender who rushed the moment he saw me. “Get me three bottles of Vodka,” I ordered the moment he got to where I was. He nodded and made to turn when I added almost immediately— “Add a bottle of Tequila Sunrise,” I said tiredly, and he nodded as he quickly left my side to get me what I ordered. It didn’t take him long to return with the drinks, and I flashed him a beautiful smile. I brought out some cash to pay for the drinks before I started drinking. I gulped a whole bottle of vodka and my heart began to hurt. It was then that I began to feel the pain of the heartbreak more, and I quickly gulped down another bottle of vodka—hoping the pain would disappear. It wasn’t long enough that I began to feel drowsy...my eyes closing as I struggled hard not to fall asleep there... “Isn’t he so cute?” “His lips look so tender,” “Jeez, he looks so hot,” I began to hear murmurs like this from the girls who sat beside me, so I turned to take a look at the person whom they were talking about when I lost my breath for a moment. I gasped lightly, still staring at him with a shy smile. It was just like he returned the smile to me, but I was not so sure—but then, I was prompted to meet him and do dirty things with him. Without even thinking twice, I stood up and took a few strides towards him as my legs trembled tremendously. I got to where he sat and sat on his legs with a wide smile. “You look so handsome,” I said and began to ride him slowly, and before I knew what was happening—he swung me up in his arms, startling me a little but I didn’t care about what he wanted to do with me. Before I could even process what was happening to me, I slept off.
