Staring at Brenda that moment looked more like I was staring at a different person. The determination in her voice to deal with whosoever was behind it managed to send shivers down my spine.
“I'll manipulate Ava," Cecilia said almost immediately, but I creased my brows confused.
“What? You know that's not possible because Gary might probably tell her about you,”
“That would only be possible if Gary knows her,” Brenda smiled slyly, making me more confused.
“So what you're trying to say is that Gary doesn't know Cecilia despite dating him that long,” I couldn't control my curiosity, and she nodded simply.
Cecilia cleared her throat and glanced at Brenda, “I'm afraid to say that Gary would know me if we ever meet,”
