3 Alma Negra Club

908 Words
In the pulsating heart of the city, neon lights painted the streets in vivid hues and the beat of music reverberated through the air. Alex approached the club with his sister and their Beta trailing behind. They were engrossed in conversation. Alex’s wolf seemed antsy, eager to get in the club. Alex hadn’t been here in awhile; he wasn’t a regular in the club scene, but he was around enough to know that this club was new, and popular. Feeling emboldened by his wolf, he walked up to the security. The big looking man didn’t move, as he looked Alex up and down. Alex stood his ground and let his Alpha aura out slightly, raising one eyebrow. There were perks to being an Alpha, even if he didn’t like the job. Alex stepped into the dimly lit interior of the club, his heart racing with unexplained anticipation. He had heard whispers about this place, and he was on alert, assessing the place. As they made their way through the throng of dancers, Alex’s eyes were drawn to the bar, which was at least 5 people deep. He indicated to Ash and Chad to get them a table, and made his way to the bar. Already wanting to leave, he made his way to the front of the crowded bar, and attempted to gain the attention of the bar tender. The man turned, and Alex found himself staring. The man had thick, dark hair and piercing blue eyes that made him forget what he wanted for a moment. His wolf stopped pacing and also stood still, emitting a low whine. Mate. Alex’s breath caught in his throat as he stood at the bar, his mind struggling to process the flood of emotions swirling within him. Could it be possible? Could this man, this enigmatic stranger, be his mate? He wasnt entirely sure; he couldn’t scent him, but he felt his heart constrict, and his soul became hooked in those eyes. A confident smile played at the corners of the bartenders lips as he winked toward him, expertly mixing drinks. ‘What can I get for you handsome?’ he asked, his voice smooth and inviting. Alex stood frozen still, willing his body to say something, do something, anything, in front of this man. The bartender pinned Alex with a stare, one eyebrow raised, as Alex stood there. Alex opened his mouth to respond, but the words caught in his throat as he gazed into the bartender's eyes, searching their depths. He could feel the undeniable pull of attraction, the sense of belonging that had eluded him with the women in the past. Alex wasn’t entirely surprise. He had always suspected he was bi-s****l, harbouring a crush a boy back in 9th grade. He often found himself agreeing with his sister internally when he caught her checking out other men too. Though he hadn’t ever even kissed another man, he often found that when he was with women and it was dragging on,, imaging it was a strong, well-defined man whose lips were wrapped around his c**k was a sure fire way to get him to finish quickly. "Uh..." Alex began, his voice barely a whisper as he struggled to find his words. ‘Hi’. The bartender smirked. ‘Hunny, I know I'm gorgeous, as i love being oggled as much as the next man, but as you can see, its a little busy. you gotta order, or you gotta go! his voice filled with a mixture of amusement and satisfaction. Alex's heart pounded in his chest as he swallowed. ‘Ah, yes, sorry. Uh, i’ll, uh, have…. Um what do you recommend? “ Alex cursed internally. He sounded like a babbling i***t. He looked into the bartender's smiling face, and hoped he didnt look as stupid as he sounded Without a word, the bartender turned, and started reach up, grabbing bottles off the shelves, affording Alex a brief glimpse of what appeared to be a well toned chest. Alex reached out, before quickly clenching his hands into fists to stop himself from reaching out in an attempt to feel those defined muscles on display breifly. He was so distracted that he didnt notice that the bartender had turned. He placed 3 drinks in front of Alex, and their fingers brushed against each other. Alex felt the tell-tale tingles that others spoke reverently about, and his gazed searched the man’s face for recognition or any reaction. With all the people around, he couldnt quite tell if the bartender was supernatural or not. Alma Negra was rumoured to have supernatural connections, but he wasnt sure. Alex saw the bartender stiffen slightly, and Alex relaxed, knowing that he felt something too. To his dismay though, the bartender looked up at him without a smilen now, and without any other signs of feeling the sparks that alighted his own senses moments before. ‘You’ll love these, cutie, they're my speciality. Its on the house!. He beckoned Alex closer with his index finger, and Alex found himself leaning in, despite himself. “Finish these and leave, don’t come back. You’re not safe here.” The bar tender quickly turned, and started serving someone else. Still standing at the bar with the drinks in hand, he watched as the bartender turned back to look at him quickly, before tapping a colleague on the shoulder and indicating to the ‘staff only door’, before he left.
