Vertigo:the swoon

Dean was in a haze of noise and darkness .

He could hear them talking distortedly but he could not bring himself to open his eyes to see who was talking .

He was just too tired , all he wanted was to keep his eyes closed and shut out their yelling .

" Dean ???!!! "

He could hear the urgency in the voice , did they think he was dying ?

Dean wanted to tell them to let him be , he was not dying , he was just so exhausted .

So , he waited in the darkness ,resting up .

Jaymie came to his darkness , a brightly glowing avalanche of blonde hair .

She looked around , taking in the golem and the state of Dean's body before she moved closer and sat next to Dean .

" Boring ".

" It's all so incredibly boring , when are you coming home ? "

Dean stretched his hands to touch her face , but she disappeared before he could , leaving him alone in the darkness that was no longer peaceful bit quite creepy.

Dean slowly opened his eyes and almost shut them back .

All their faces were so close that he could see their pores .

When he opened his eyes again , all three of them were staring at him in shock .

Blade was the first one to break out of the shock .

He rushed closer , lifting Dean's shoulder with one hand as he slapped his chest with the other hand .

" Dean , Dean ??? Look at me , look carefully , do you know who I am ? "

Blade looked frantically around before raising Dean higher to look around , the smoke from earlier still largely concentrated on where the golem had fallen .

" Do you know where we are ? Do you know what all these around us are ? Do you remember anything at all ? Like jumping down a tree and having me as a Master ? "

Dean blinked at this development while Jade and May pushed Blade away and May grabbed his shirt .

" Why would you do something as scary as that ? I thought that we had lost you ".

Jade nodded too .

" When I saw you run off , I thought you were really running away , I was so surprised to see you on its shoulders ".

Dean just nodded , wondering why they had thought he was running off .

Dean pushed himself to a seating position and looked at them all .

" I'm okay . I'm probably numb from the pain but I'm okay ".

Dean was about to push himself to his feet when the smoke around the golem let up as it changed shape .

Dean turned to May as he continued to watch the density of the smoke .

" How long was I out for ? "

May thought for a second before she lifted two of her fingers .

" You were out for about two minutes ".

Two minutes ago ?

How could he have been out for over two minutes and the smokes density had not changed?

A deep sound came around them , the kind of sound a growling machine would make as he woke for the first time in a while .

But , it was not the first time in a while like it sounded.

The smoke from ahead of them , gathered taking another form as it flowed smoothly forward .

When the smoke reached them , it dispersed to show the Golem that Dean had almost killed himself to put an end to .

It had sustained no damage and stood proudly in front of them , showing off it's sleek body that Dean had been sure he had permanently damaged .

It moved closer to them and Dean was pulled down into the ruins from earlier by someone else , he turned to find Blade holding his fingers to his lip .

Jade stood behind them , by the fallen wall , he signified for them to come with him and Blade pushed Dean ahead to follow Jade .

They went behind the wall and crept down next to May .

After a while , Dean turned around to watch the golem from between the holes in the walls and Dean was slightly impressed at the Golem's build.

If all of the golems had been replaced with this , they were definitely in big trouble .

Dean saw as the Golem continued to turn around ,it was searching for them .

It focused on the wall as it came closer , Dean stopped looking at it and returned to his crouching position behind the wall .

He was surprised to see that May had replaced Blade by his side and was glaring at him .

" Do you really have no fear ? "

Her eyes were nonchalant as she asked , Dean shook his head .

Of course , he did not want to die , he had known he would not die .

" I was not throwing my life away , I had a calculation I was following , There's no way I would risk my life like that , too much depends on me ".

Dean peeked out the hole again and almost froze , he turned around and indicated for everyone to be as silent as possible , The golem was walking slowly to the wall , it's movement was slow as the deep rumbling settled around them , that was the only indication that it had just swallowed two grenades .

Dean did not want to tell then just how close the golem was to them , so he kept quiet and gripped his fingers tightly as he waited .

When he had waited for a while and the wall had still not been destroyed , he peeked again through the holes to find himself facing the back of the golem as the giant piece of metal retreated in a cloud of smoke.

Dean closed his eyes for a second and reopened them to make sure he was seeing the right thing .

He was seeing the right thing , the Golem was really leaving .

" It is leaving ".

May pushed him aside and looked through the hole too , her hands coming over her mouth to block out any sound that she might make.

Dean closed his eyes , breathing softly and opened them when he heard May and Blade chuckle .

They wer all standing and Dean looked up to them .

" Can you stand ? "

Jade was crouching back next to Dean in an instant , trying to help Dean stand up .

Dean stood up on his own and swooned lightly as a wave of vertigo came at him .

He stood still letting it pass over and only moved when he felt normal again .

The once calmly deserted street had suffered major damage to the whole of it's aesthetics .

" There is no way we can fight another of those things alone ".

Jade looked at Dean as he talked , like he was making an example out of Dean's battered state .

May moved closer , her eyes on his body .

" Are you really okay ? "

Dean followed her eyes down his body , his body was more messed up than he had thought .

His arm had a large scratch that looked like his flesh had been skinned , it must have come when he rolled on the rough asphalt but it had not hurt at all .

His arms were lined with smaller scratches that must have come from climbing the tree , he wondered what condition is face would be in and now that May had pointed out his state , Dean slowly found himself to actually be in pain, even his face hurt.

He grabbed his skinned arm and yelped when he saw the raw flesh peeking through .

" I guess we still need to thank you , after I thought you had run off alone , none of our attacks were getting through , you saved our lives because it was just waiting for us to run out of bullets ".

The others nodded , agreeing with Blade while Dean barely heard what they were saying .

Geez , he was still so exhausted and sleepy .

" I will help you back , you are probably dying to lay down on your bed ".

Dean nodded , smiling vaguely as he let Jade escort him back to the church amidst the sound of May and Blade's argument of whose attacks had been the most useless on the golem .
