Perfect Mistake

Nursery preparation

After the gender reveal party we head home to rest.

“ So now that we know the gender of our babies I want to start the nursery.”

“ Noa you know we still have four months left right. Why rush?”

“ Because Leo we are having twins and they tend to be born early. Also I will need to work with my professors next semester so I can just focus on the babies once they are born. So the quicker I get everything done then I can focus on finishing my school work.”

“ Alright Sweetheart how about you go shopping tomorrow with Kate and your mom after school and then when I come home on Saturday you can tell me how to set everything up. When you go to the baby stores make sure you get everything delivered to the house that is heavy.”

“ Deal now let’s go to sleep. I ate a lot of cake and I’m full.”

Leo burst out laughing and I hear him whisper we are definitely not going to sleep yet.

The next morning Leo left for practice and I went to class. After having class all day and then my internship I go home and eat.

“ Noa our moms are outside.” Kate said

“ okay coming.” I finished drinking pineapple juice and headed outside. Once I got in the car all Alice and my mom could talk about ideas for the nursery.

“Kate what is your idea for your nursery?”

“ A lot of pink and princess theme. What about you?”

“ I want the colors grey, gold and white. My theme is the the moon and elephants.”

“ Girls those themes are perfect.” Alice said

Once we arrived at the baby store we all went straight to the cribs. I picked out a white crib and got two of them. I also got a matching white changing table. Kate got a crib that’s an eggshell color and a matching changing table.

We then moved on to decorations and the rocking chairs. Kate got pink and I got a grey rocking chair. We both got bookshelves as well.

“Is their anything else girls.” My mom asks

“ I Need to get grey paint and stuffed animals.” I say

“ I need pink paint and stuffed animals as well.” Said Kate

Once we got done we headed home.

“ Girls we’re back.” I yell

Both Alex and Lily rush out of the movie room and head to where Kate and I are standing.

“ Do you need help carrying anything else in?” Lily ask

“ Yeah there’s paint to be brought in and some clothes as well.” I say

I go up the stairs into the nursery and place all the bags on the floor. Soon after Alex brings the rest of the stuff. Once we are done showing them what we got we head to the home movie theater and eat dinner in there. After dinner we had a movie marathon and fell asleep like old times.

I felt like the week went by slow. All this week I’ve been emailing my professors and my internship. I also missed Leo a lot. I’m just happy Christmas break is coming up.

“ Kate you ready?”

“ yeah let’s go.”

We head to the football locker room to pick up the boys. I’m so excited to show Leo the coming home outfit I found for the twins and have him do the nursery but my brothers are coming over to help him tomorrow with it.

We pull up to the stadium the same time as the bus. When the bus stops Leo is the first one of the bus which is a first. He comes straight to me and picks me up. My legs wrap around his waist and I put my head in the crock of his neck.

“ I missed you. Leo says as he rocks me in his arms

“ I Missed you too. You can put me down now I Know I’m a little heavy.”

“ Sweetheart you are barely five feet tall and you still don’t weight a lot.” Leo said as he puts me down.

“ Hey Some of the guys want to help with the nursery.” Leo says

“ Cool but we don’t have that much but they can still come over and hangout.”

We leave in Leo’s car and go back home. On the way home we pick up three pineapple pizzas and Leo got pepperoni and cheese pizza.

“ Sweetheart it’s only five o’clock so I’m going to text some of the boys to come over and help me paint the babies room.”

“ Okay but first let me show you the outfits I found for our babies to come home in.”

He follows me into the babies room and I go into the dipper bag my mom bought me. I pull out two onesies. Reign’s onesie is white with black writing that says born together with an arrow pointing to the right. It comes with blue pants and a blue hat. Rowan’s onesie is white with black writing that says friends forever with an arrow pointing to the left. It comes with a pink tutu and a headband with a pink sparkly bow.

“ look how tiny their cloths are.” Leo says

“ I know right your hands are bigger than their cloths.” I laugh

“ Well sweetheart the boys are on the way. If you need me I will be in here.”

“ okay.”

The boys have been painting for almost two hours now. They are almost done so I decide to peak in.

“ Looking good boys.”

“ I mean I try to look good all the time but thanks for noticing Noa.”

“ Shut up Jacob.” Leo says

Me and the boys laugh at Leo’s reaction.

“ well I’m gone to bed. So See y’all tomorrow.”

I left the nursery and head to my room. I go take a shower and a few minutes later I fell asleep.
