Meeting

“ Noa I’m leaving.”

“ okay. Don’t forget the meeting with our parents is at six o’clock tonight.”

“ Am I picking you up?”

“ no I’ll be coming from my internship.”

“ Okay. Text if things change.”

Leo kisses me and heads to football practice. I go back to sleep for an hour then I wake up and get ready for the day.

I decide to wear my ripped mom jeans with a white t-shirt and white tennis shoes. I’m not wearing my outfit for the meeting I’ll come back after my internship is over.

I haven’t really tried to hid that I’m pregnant. I’m know eleven weeks pregnant with twins and my belly is noticeable. I was a petite short woman so when I gain weight it is very noticeable. When everyone in my class kept looking at me and whispering about my pregnancy it really did not bother me. Some people even came up to me after class to congratulate me.

I headed to my second class for the day and in this class people asked to touch my stomach. I felt weird and said no because again weird. After two hours in the class I grab lunch and head to my internship.

I told my supervisor at my internship I was pregnant right after I found out. I work with all animals at the shelter and cat litter is not healthy for pregnant woman to change. So I now just handle the dog area.

When I’m done at my internship for the day I head home and hop in the shower again because I don’t want to smell like animal when I meet Leo’s dad for the first time.

When I get out the shower the outfit Kate picked for me is on my bed. Kate picked a black turtle neck dress with black wooden wedges. Once I’m done dressing Lily does my makeup and my hair. Lily styles my hair natural so my long curly hair is down. When I look at the time I see the clock says 5:15pm. I’m head to my parents house since that’s where the meeting it’s being held.

When I arrive at my parents I see Leo’s car already in the driveway and a car that must be his parents. When I knock on the door my dad opens it and gives me a big hug.

At my parents house we have a conference room. My parents had a bunch of kids so sometimes they would hold meetings at home.

When we walk into the conference room I see my mom and give her a hug. I then go to Leo and give him a hug as well. But as I was giving a hug a felt eyes burning a while into the side of my face.

Across the round long table from Leo sits his dad. I start to get anxious and I feel Leo’s hold tighten around me and he whispers

“ if you feel that it’s too much tell me and We’ll leave.”

I nod my head and he releases me. Leo turns hoods attention to his parents and starts to introduce me.

“ mom you and Noa have already met. Dad this is Noa Pérez. Noa this is my dad Caleb Bradford.”

I was about to say nice to meet you when l Leo’s dad says

“ Enough with the small talk let’s get to business.”

My dad takes a seat beside my mom and Leo and I take a seat side by side.

“ Okay let’s get to business then. Why did you call this meeting Caleb? There is absolutely nothing we can do the damage is done.” My dad said

“ That’s where you’re wrong. There is something that Leo can do he can sign over his parental rights and it won’t even know that Leo is the dad.” Mr. Bradford said

I whisper to myself “ my babies are not an it.”

“Excuse me miss but did I just hear you whisper something. Is there something you want to add.” Loren says

For the first time in my life I was ready to stand up to people who want to push me around. “ I said my babies are not an it. And Leo will do no such thing and you know it.”

“ And if he does I will ruin you and your company do you understand Caleb.” Said dad

“ your threats don’t scare me. It’s me who can ruin you. I need my son to marry Stacey that way our two companies combined. We are already business partners and you already have an heir to your company. Stacy’s father doesn’t. Do you get where I’m going with this.”

“ Dad hate to bust your Bubble but the only reason you are in control of the company is because I have not graduate college yet. In grandpas will it states that you are the company owner until I graduate and I graduate next year so don’t do anything you will regret. You do commenting to Noa and I will ruin you.”

“ Well it looks like Leo has made up his mind. I think the meeting is over.” My mom says

Leo’s parents storm out of my parents house but I know it’s not over. When I get done saying goodbye to my parents Leo and I step outside.

“ I’ll see you Saturday sweetheart.” Leo kisses me on my head and opens my car door for me and I get in.

“ You better call me like last time Anakin.”

“ Yes Noa I will.”

I drive off and head home. When I get home the girls are of course waiting for me.I tell them what happened and they absolutely hate Leo’s parents and I’m really not trying to for the sake of Leo but it’s getting harder and harder.
