I have never felt devastated about a change in my life like now. My mother informed us that this week we are moving and we are going to have a new family. Do not get me wrong, I want her to be happy but communication is important. she should have told us months before or the time she met the new guy. This is all going too fast. My little sister is probably confused and stressed about it. By the way my name is Zenith Pride James, my little sister is Rose Blessings James and my mother is Lydia James. I'm 16 years, my little sister is 5 years and my mother is 39 years. Right now, we are in my mom's car. We have been on the road for 3 hours and we have to drive for another 30 minutes. We have packed everything and its official, we are relocating. I'm gonna miss my friends so much. We stopped by the road and I went to buy snacks with mom while my little sister went to the bathroom. "Don't worry my baby, everything will be fine. You will have new siblings and you gonna have so much fun bonding with them. The place is really nice and there is no way you gonna hate it. I'm really sorry, okay?",my mom said. I just ignored her and went on to do what I was doing. After a 25 minutes on the road, we arrived at this other place that screams rich. The gate opened and we drove inside. "We have arrived, do you like it?", my mom asked. "YEAH! Definitely!", my little sister answered. "Come on now, everybody is waiting for us" We followed her to the huge house and to be honest, it was really nice. We went inside and found this other buffy guy who looked like he was in his early forties. "Hey guys, I am so excited to meet you all. I hope you will like it here. My name is Gift Black and I will be your new dad. You can call me Gift if you are not comfortable with me being your new dad and all." He then turned to his left where there are 3 more people. "This is Penelope, your new little sister and she is 10 years. The 2 guys are your new brothers, Brook and Trevor. Trevor is the older one by the way. He is 22 years and Brook is 20" He finished. "Nice to meet you everyone, I am Zenith" I started. "We know all of you. No need for that" Brook said. Looks like Im not the only one who's not happy about this change I guess. Then Trevor said "Welcome to the Black family. Dont mind this jerk please. He has attitude issues. Nice to meet you too Zen and Rosy. I hope you will enjoy it here." Penelope who has been quite for the past minutes then finally said, "Yeay! Finally I have new sisters. Boys are boring. Come on Rosy I will show you to your room." Then they left. I was shown to my room too and it was really huge. Damn this family is loaded for sure. It was dominated with grey, and navy blue. It looks like my mom briefed them about my favourite colours. I unpacked my clothes and few stuff. I put my dad's photo frame in the bed side and arranged everything as I like. We lost my dad in a car accident after my little sister was born. It was a really tragic event that silenced me. I became quiet and closed myself in most of the time. I then decided to take a shower and sleep because I was really exhausted from everything. I was awoken by my alarm and saw myself in a different room, then I remembered that Im in a new home. Home? Yeah right. I went to the bathroom to do my business and refresh. Then I went downstairs to make myself breakfast. I found Trevor busy with his phone on the kitchen counter. The kitchen was splendid. "Morning, how are you?" he turned to me startled. "Sorry I didn't mean to do that. Would you like some breakfast?" He then laughed and said "Nah I'm good. I will sort myself out. Don't worry about it. By the way, how was your first day here?" "It was okay. I think Brook won't like me being here. But I'm not looking forward to a new school and new people to be honest. I like Penelope, she is really sweet and your dad too. " "Brook is just really shocked by all of this. He doesn't react well to new people. He will get used to you then you will see that he is okay. And don't worry, I think you will like the school." "I hope so." We continued our conversation while I was making bacon, eggs and some pancakes. "On second thoughts, I will eat that too" Trevor said. We laughed it out until we heard someone clearing their throat. "Morning people. So I see there is a new cooker in the house, huh? " Brook smirked. "At least this cooker is well-mannered and know how to talk to people" I added. "Shut up" "After you Mr Jerk Face." "What did you just say??" "What? You got ear problems now??' "Stop fighting please. Brook, be nice. Zenith, can I have that nice breakfast too dear?" Their dad said as he entered the kitchen with mom, Penny(Penelope) and Rosy. Then I made breakfast for everyone too. After eating, Gift asked Brook to take me shopping or new school clothes, supplies and anything I needed. He wasn't happy about it. I went upstairs to take a shower, change and wait for him outside. We went to this huge mall and that has almost everything. This place is really a dream come true. We bought school clothes, books and stationery. "Dad said you should treat yourself to some clothes and anything you want" He said while rolling his eyes. "Okay great! Should I pick something for you?" "Do I look like I need something?" "Yes, an attitude adjuster!" He stomped off to other sections of clothes. We bought so much stuff and we left the shop. Brook walked to another direction and I followed him like a lost puppy. I don't know where he was going. He then stopped at a gadget store and entered. He the picked some bag form the sales person and left the shop after paying. We then went to the car and put everything in. "Im kind of hungry" I said "Im not a chef" he scoffed. I kept quiet and got in the car. He got in too and threw the bag he was holding at me. "Whats your deal man?" I shouted. "Those are your gadgets" He then started the car and drove. I looked inside the bag and found an iPhone, iPad and a mac book. I squealed inside my head and said thanks. He drove into MacDonald drive-thru and ordered some food. "I thought you were not going to buy me food" "I said Im not a chef. You have thoughts of an i***t by the way, Im not surprised." We ate on the way home while ignoring each other. When we arrived, it was around 5pm and I went straight to my room. I unpacked the bags and prepared everything for school as it was a Sunday. I took a shower and went downstairs for supper. We said goodnight to each other and went to bed. Everything was okay but mostly awkward for me. I thought about everything that happened. I will have to learn to adjust to this new change and accept reality. Talking about reality, I was not looking forward to school tomorrow. Then I dozed off to dream land.
