midnight promises

He sprinted across the forest trying to maintain balance while clutching his chest tightly with someone chasing after him. out of breath and blacked out. ‎A figure from the dark emerged, picked him up and took him deep into the woods before the one chasing him good catch up to him.‎It was morning Darius woke up in the rather unfamiliar environment, the bruises and wounds that were on his body had mysteriously healed and his skin was as smooth as silk, he jumped to his feet and scanned the surrounding . confused and bewildered he just stared around him in shock trying to remember what occurred the previous night but he couldn't seem to remember anything except the fact that he was saved by someone. Although he could not remember the face of the person who saved him, he could recall the feminine structure he saw when he slightly opened his eyes , her strong scent and an Aura he had never felt before . all of a sudden memories flashed through his mind of when the dark figure had saved him, he whispered to her in a low tone: I will find you one day and I will repay you.‎And that was all he could remember from that night ‎ever since that night darius was hell bound on finding the girl from that night.‎‎Darius followed the narrow road until you got to the main land where he now found his way to his castle.‎on arriving at his Castle his parents were extremely happy to finally see him for he had been missing for days and they were starting to lose hope that he would ever return. as the castle gate flung open Darius parents who had been sitting in the Royal garden when the castle staff rushed in to share the the news of Darius return. They rushed out and threw their arms around him, pulling him into a tight hug while tears gushed down their faces the entire Castle staff we're all overjoyed at they return of Darius.‎‎they hurriedly took him in to the castle, prepared a warm bath with different fragrance of expensive oil they could find.‎They then threw a feast to celebrate his return ‎while they where all celebrating, eating and drinking Darius could not get his mind off the young woman‎‎After all the festivities and celebration from the previous night,when morning came his mother resumed her match making. while Darius was still fast asleep there was a knock on the door.‎: your Highness the Queen request your presence in the Royal dining hall. the servant says while standing outside the door of Darius room.‎a dismisses the servant and goes back to bed because he knew that such calls were only if his mother wanted to find a match for him but Darius was not interested in anyone his mother brought to him now the only person Darius was interested in finding was the woman from the night before ‎‎eventually she gave up waiting for Darius in the Royal banquet hall, she got up and went to his chambers ‎: I know you are trying to avoid this Darius but you have to face reality that sooner of later you will have to find a wife that will rule this Kingdom with you. the queen said while standing outside the door of his room. ‎Darius got up and went to the door‎: mother I will deeply appreciate it if you stopped trying to find a perfect match for me for I have already found the one I want to spend the rest of my life with I will soon introduce her to you so please exercise patience and stop meddling in my affairs. ‎Upon hearing his words Queen was shocked, she could not believe what he just said because she felt this was just another it means of him trying to avoid getting a wife.‎: would you at least try to meet her for once and see if you like her then after that I will let you be if you are not interested in her. Queen Leticia spoke in a rather pleading tone.‎not wanting his mother the Queen to feel bad Darius agreed to her request.later that day his mom arranged a meeting with the duke of coninham to disscuss the engagement of Darius with the duke's daughter. upon finding out Darius was enraged that his mother would fix an alliance without his permission , but he decided to meet with her and make things clear right from the start that he wasn't interested in her. because there was something that attracted him to the girl from that night that he couldn't just shake off. later that day dinner was arranged with the duke's family to formally introduce them to each other. Darius and his family waited to welcome them, upon reaching there the young lady of the duke's house got down from her chariot and Darius seemed to recognize her, not by facial appearance bit the same strong aura he felt the previous night. he couldn't believe she was the one, he just thought it might be a coincidence and he just shrugged it off. : pleasant to meet you prince Darius, I'm Thalia. he said as she walked up to Darius and introduced herself.the pleasure is mine my lady. he said as he planted a kiss on her hand. and the struggles begin, will they end up together.
