Some people's eyes follow Trinette walking apathetically in the rain. Dragging her backpack, letting it slide on the wet sidewalk as she does so. How far I've gone... Looking up to the blinking city lights. She sighs and nodded to herself in realization.
She's in the city.
Her thoughts are indeed floating up in the air, normally it would take two hours to walk from her town to the city. She didn't even noticed since she was absentmindedly walking forward after she bursted out all of the heaviness away.
Her eyes are getting puffy from crying, her lips are trembling due to the coldness she felt, her bruises stings everytime the raindrops hits them, her burn getting soaked in her sleeves is also giving her a stinging pain. Everything she felt physically is pain. Everything she felt inside is pain as well.
All of the sudden, a loud car horn startled Trinette. Making her go back to her own thoughts.
Trinette flinches in shock as she immediately brings her hands on her ears to cover it as she crouched down on the road, letting go of her backpack. "What the f*ck is wrong with you, kid?!" shouted the driver while Trinette kept her hands covering her ears as her tears starts to fell from her eyes again.
Truck
Horn
Blood
Guts
Mother
Died
Dead
The driver honks his vehicle horn once again as Trinette went back to her senses. "Move the f**k away from the road, kid!" the driver shouted on the top of his lungs, the tone of his voice madeit obvious enough that he's mad about it. He almost ran over a student.
Trinette immediately grabbed her backpack as she sprints away from the road. Despite of the slippery sidewalk and the raindrops blurring her vision, she runs away from the crowded place.
She can't stop her footsteps, as well as her hand and body as she absentmindedly pushed a door of a tall building, which seems like an apartment, open. She immediately made her way to the fire exit. Trinette grips tightly on the railing of the stairs as her feet starts making its way upstairs fast, as if she's being chased by sadness and pain. I need to get out in here.
The moment she pushed the door open of the rooftop open, the night breeze touches her face, softly caressing her bruises and wounds. Trinette blinks in realization as she noticed the rain has stopped. She heaved a deep sigh. Slowly, she walked towards the ledge of the rooftop, pressing her palms on it, leaning her body in as she looked at how high she is from the ground at the moment.
She looked up at the full moon on the sky. "Mom," she called out.
"I'm tired." She uttered, slowly clenching her fists. "I wanna be with you again." Gritting his teeth as she uttered those words while her tears are falling. With all of the courage, force and strength that's left in her weak body, she pushes herself up to stand on the ledge.
Dumbfounded, she stares at the view of the city lights as the wind from the rooftop is wiping her tears away. She softly chuckled. "I shouldn't cry, huh?" she mumbled to herself as if she's talking to someone. "B-But I can't help it anymore." She added as she took one small step closer to the very edge of the ledge.
"When you were gone, everything is not right anymore." She said as she sobs, staring at nowhere. "I wanna find peace and sanctuary." She continued as she kept her hands balled in a fist.
"I-I'm sorry that I have to do this." Another little step closer to the edge. "See you." She said as she heaves a deep sigh, slowly stepping on the air as she's ready to give herself in. She felt no fear as her eyes are fixated down the building.
But before she could jump off, a slimy white mist has cut through the air, as if a slit, just right in front of her. Trinette has to blink multiple times to see if what she saw was right. She can't move and she froze in her spot as she watches a hand went through the mist, she can see the somewhat pale skin of the person turned into a fair white porcelain like hers as it was reaching out to her.
Her breathing got rapid as she's definitely clueless on what's happening right now. She knows to herself that she's mentally unstable. Am I this broken to see such things?
Her eyes widened as she realized that the person seems like a man due to its short hair. "AH!!" the next thing she knew is the man fell right on top of her, making her fall back on the spacious part of the rooftop where it was safe, away from the ledge. Hitting the back of her head on the ground.
———
Urghh... I can't.. b-breathe..
Trinette opened her mouth to gain access in breathing through it— catching her breath roughly as she felt something heavy on top of her. It took her a good two minutes of her blinking her eyes before realizing what just happened.
Wait! There was a man—
Her eyes quickly gazed on what's on top of her. It's the man.
"G-God— Heavy!" she grunts as she felt the man's heaviness on top of her. "Shi—" Trinette uses all of the strength that's left in her but it doesn't seem to work knowing that she's weak at the moment.
She gently taps the man's shoulder. He's real. This is not all in my head then? "Sir? Sir, are you alive?" Trinette asked as she starts shaking the man's body. It was then she felt something poking her thigh.
Wait, this man is not wearing a shirt... She blinks. Does that mean he's not wearing—
Hurriedly, with all of her strength, she pushes the man away making him flip with his back against the floor.
"AHHH! WHAT THE F*CK?!" Trinette freaked out as she looked at the naked man. Her eyes widened at the sigh of his member, realizing that it was that what poked her thigh. Unhesitatingly, she grabbed her backpack then sprints to the door back to the fire exit.
F*ck, that man came out of nowhere! She immediately slammed the door open the moment she touched it. As she holds tightly on the railing of the stairs, she stops. He looks helpless. She turned her head back. What if he's dead? Trinette blinks as she suddenly felt the coldness due to the apartment's airconditioned building and her wet clothes.
"Urgh." Trinette groans in digust as she caught the sight of the man's private part when she decided to go back in the rooftop. Why the f**k is he naked anyways?
Hurriedly, she approached the man and grabbed the blanket in her backpack despite of being wet.
"Hold on, sir." She said as she uses all of her strength to help the unconscious man sit up then she wrapped the blanket around his shoulder. "Uhh," she rummaged through her wet bag and spots her phone, also wet.
"Please work, please work, please work." She continuously mumbled as she waits for her phone to turn on while her finger is pressing the power on button.
A wide grin has plastered on her face when her phone turned on despite of being wet. She immediately opened ger contacts and scrolls through her short list of it. Trinette paused for a moment to think, she turned her gaze at the man that is now shivering in cold. His mouth is pale and he's laying on the floor as if he's dead. He needs help.
Trinette pressed the dial button then leans her phone against her ear as she waits for her to pick up the call.
"Hello?" Trinette purses her lips for a moment before she decided to speak.
"Uh, hello? This is Trinette." She breathes roughly as she flinched when she felt a sharp movement of someone gripping the hem of her skirt.
She looked down and saw the man with his eyes half-closed, looking at her. She can hear his sharp breathing from both of his mouth and nose. He weakly gazed upon her.
"H-Help..." He mouthed.
She immediately divert her attention on the phone.
"I need your help."
