Asher My head was throbbing violently, I felt every muscle in my body burning, and I couldn't lift my arms. I blinked and then, slowly, opened them. The first thing that struck me was the bright light of the white ceiling. I blinked a couple of times and then turned my head. Around me was the sound of some machinery, the constant beeping that came from a machine whose screen indicated an irregular line with a number next to it, probably the beats of my heart. I tried to move an arm, but he felt it constricted, and then I looked at him, noticing a needle stuck under the skin, connected to a tube that led to a bag attached to a pole next to the bed. I inhaled violently, as my mind tried to connect everything that was going on around me. My head snapped from side to side, only minimally
