Alistair’s POV: I was being as patient as I could with Allegra, but I could not help but admit that she often ignored me every time Nicholas had a problem. Jealousy was eating at me. It did not matter how well I performed on my tasks or how fun our dates were. It looked like this guy was always one step ahead. I started to believe if all of this was really worth it.
