Elena Pov
I was waiting for Lucas to call me. I felt like an i***t for acting weird after we slept together. I was just nervous and unsure about everything. He was a good guy and I felt so drawn to him. How can we be perfect for each other when we just met. How could I sleep with him when I just met him?
"Damn it," I said out loud as I slammed the mug in the sink. I looked around and all the customers were looking at me. I looked down at my feet and Johnny was staring at me.
"Don't look at me like that," I told him. I picked him up and went to serve more coffee refills.
"Good morning," I heard a voice say. For a moment, I wanted it to be Lucas but it was Calvin.
"Hey," I said cheerfully. "Usual?"
"Yeah, thanks," he said.
"So, how's everything?" I asked him.
"Good, and you?" he asked back.
"Everything is perfect," I said, remembering what happened last night. I shook my head and tried to focus on what I was doing.
"Good, so I was wondering if you wanted to hang out this weekend?" he said.
"Um, I have plans with my grandma but maybe some other time," I told him.
"Oh okay," he said softly.
"Yeah," I handed him his coffee and breakfast sandwich. Calvin took it and sat at his regular table.
I didn't hear from Lucas all day or the next day. I was missing him so much. My heart felt empty. It felt like it was hardly beating. I went on walks these last couple of days. I was hoping I would run into my wolf but even he was missing.
"I miss you so much," I whispered to myself.
"I miss you too," I heard his low voice say.
"Lucas," I said as I turned around.
"You were crying?" Lucas asked.
"No, I was going to," I said as I wiped my eyes. "I, I'm fine."
"Good, I can't see you cry," he said. "Especially if I caused it."
"You didn't," I said loudly. Lucas smiled and laughed softly. "Don't laugh at me."
"Sorry," he took my hand and we walked along the path in the woods.
"Want to come over for dinner? I can invite my grandma," I told him.
"That sounds wonderful," he said. The way I was longing for him and his touch scared me.
We finished our walk and headed over to my grandma's house.
"Grandma, I'm home and I brought a friend," I said. She grinned.
"A male friend," she said. "Hello, it's nice to meet you."
"It's nice to meet you, Mrs. Carver," he said to my gran.
"Lana," she said. He smiled. "Tell me about yourself."
"Well, I travel a lot. I was just wandering around the area and happened to meet your lovely grandaughter. She is really amazing."
"Tell me about your family," Gran said.
"Oh, well, I had a large family, you could say. I had brothers," I noticed how Lucas's face changed. "I haven't been back home in a long time."
"Oh, why is that?" Gran asked. I looked at her sort of trying to tell her to back off. "Sorry, am I prying."
"No," Lucas said politely. "It's a long story but it's not bad. I guess I just kept running the opposite way."
"Oh," she said. I smiled. I tried to show him I didn't care. He opened up enough with me. I may not know where he is from or anything about his past and family but I didn't care.
"Do you like steak?" my grandma asked him.
"Yes," he grinned.
"Perfect," we had a lovely dinner and continued talking. Lucas told us about his hobbies and how he used to play soccer.
We had some ice cream for dessert and Lucas walked me back to my place.
"Do you think that went well?" Lucas asked me. I made a serious face. "Was it that bad?"
"I'm kidding," I laughed. "I think it went well."
"Good,"
"You really want her to like you?"
"Of course, how else will I get her to give me her blessing," I choked on my saliva.
"Lucas,"
"Sorry, I was too forward but it's true. I plan on asking you to marry me someday,"
"Why, why do you like me so much?" I asked.
"You are incredible," he said. "You were meant for me and I was meant for you." I don't know why that didn't creep me out. Maybe because I somehow knew it was true. I felt this in my heart and I couldn't explain it. I was staring into his eyes and I could see his secrets and past staring back at me. I also saw his heart and love for me.
"Lucas," he slowly closed the space between us and kissed me passionately. He lifted me up and pushed me against the nearest wall. I combed my fingers through his hair as he kissed me wildly. I could have sworn I heard him growl but I couldn't focus on that. His lips on my skin made me hot and his warm breath made me get goosebumps. I quivered and trembled as he slowly took my shirt off. I helped him take off his. I felt his teeth graze my neck and I whimpered at the sensation it brought me. He sat me on the counter as he took off his jeans. He lifted me up and took me to my bedroom. He helped me out of my jeans and laid me down on the bed. As soon as we were naked he looked deep into my eyes.
"I f*****g love you so much, don't be scared," Lucas said. He slowly slid inside me and I felt a jolt of pleasure run through me.
"Lucas,"
"f**k, Elena," he groaned. "You feel so good." He quickened his pace and I felt my body lose control. We kissed the entire time. I felt like I needed more. I was hungry for him as he was for me. This somehow was perfect. Completely perfect.
