Elena Pov I was nervous the whole night. I couldn't sleep I was so excited. I woke up super early and just drank coffee all morning. Lucas said he would pick me up in the afternoon. It was a little vague but around noon I went to go get ready. It was chillier than usual so I wore black ripped skinny jeans and an off-the-shoulder copper brown sweater. I heard someone knocking on the door twelve minutes later so I grabbed my black booties and answered the door. "Hi," I said as I gazed into his blue eyes. "Hello Elena," he smiled. "Ready?" "Yes," I said. He took my hand and led me to the trail behind my home. His touch sent tingles all over my body. "I hope you don't mind a walk to start," he said. I shook my head no. Lucas was carrying a picnic basket with him. My heart was already fluttering in my chest. I wasn't looking around to see where we were going. I was too lost looking at him but suddenly I knew where we were. "Oh my," I gasped. "Have you been here before?" "Only once," he said. "Me too," I said. "It's a perfect place for a pic-," "Picnic," Lucas lifted up the basket he had in his hand. He led me over to the lake and put a blanket on the ground before telling me to sit. "I am so glad you decided to go out with me," Lucas said. "You were very persistent," I laughed. "I know what I want and I can't help it," he said. I knew my face had turned red but I didn't care. "You are very beautiful Elena," "Thank you," "Tell me about yourself," I cleared my throat and tried to think of what to say. "There's not much to say. I lost my parents a year ago." "I'm sorry to hear that," he said as he brought his hand to my cheek. "Well, what about you?" "I don't live far from here. I was born and raised around there. I had a big family but I went off on my own." "So, it's just you," I said sounding a little worried. "Not anymore," Lucas lifted my face so I could look into his eyes. "I'm going to kiss you, Elena." "Wait, what. No!" I protested. He leaned forward and I moved back. He kept coming closer and lowered me onto the ground. He was looking deep into my eyes. His lips were touching mine. Suddenly, we heard a loud c***k. Rain fell quickly. We both laughed. Lucas helped me up and quickly grabbed everything throwing it into the basket. He took my hand and we ran back to my house. The minute we made it inside. We both let out more laughter. "Well, that was something," I said.  A low rumble followed by lightning had me jumping out in fear. "Are you scared of thunder," Lucas smiled. "No, but that was just so sudden," I told him. "Make yourself at home. I'll get us some towels." I went over to the hallway closet and grabbed some towels. Before bringing Lucas his I decided to make some hot chocolate for us. "Here," I handed Lucas his towel. He grabbed my hand and pulled me down on his lap. "Hi," his sexy smile was making me want things I didn't want before. "Hi," I smiled back. "We didn't get to eat," He grabbed the basket and pulled out some grapes. "Here." I opened my mouth slowly. He brought his fingers to my mouth and dropped one in. I was too shy to laugh at this moment. He fed me a few more but then the kettle went off so I got up and went to make our hot chocolate. "I hope you like it," I said as I handed him a mug. "So Elena," He helped me sit back on his lap. "When can we go out again?" "Oh, you want to go out again," "Of course," "Well, um Saturday night?" I said. "Perfect," "When are you leaving?" I said out of nowhere. I was worried he would make me fall for him and then leave suddenly. "What makes you think I am leaving?" he smirked. "But," "Elena," He ran his fingers through my hair and gently kissed my cheek. Somehow he had comforted me and made my worries slip away. "What shall we do now?" he asked. I got up and ran to my room. I brought back a Jenga box. "Let's play," I laughed. He looked at me with a confused look. "Please." He took the box from me and helped me set it up. "Have you ever played before?" I asked him. "Only once but I was very drunk," he admitted. "Oh," I said. "I used to play this every Sunday with my parents." "That must have been nice," he said. "It was," after we set up the tower, he went first. He was very good and I was just a nervous wreck. It was my turn again and as I went to pull one from the center, Lucas started to blow on my ear. "Stop!!" "Never!" he laughed evilly. "Lucas!" He made me knock down the tower. "I won," he grinned. "So, what is my prize?" I closed the space between us and looked straight into his eyes. "Well," I said seductively. I moved a bit closer and whispered, "You cheated so nothing." I then pushed him away and began to laugh. "Oh really," he pushed me onto the couch and began to tickle me. "Stop!" I laughed. "Best two out of three." "Fine," we began to build the tower again and played another round. This was not the date Lucas had planned but it was nice. We talked some more and played all night. He won most of the time but I really didn't care. We were having a nice time. I couldn't wait to see him again. Telling him goodnight and watching him leave was heartbreaking.
