I walked down the street which was a few kilometers away from me. Since I had burnt out my money with her hospital bills it made me suffer a little but with my first salary i would be all back. I arrived at the entrance of the building a skyscraper with COSMOS holdings group written on the big board.

I entered, men and women dressed in official clothes passed me. Nobody stopped to look at me. They were all too busy with work that I felt like I was invisible it was just what I wanted

A place where people did not critize me for who I am.

" Miss are you perhaps lost or who would You like to meet ? " A young lady asked me I was shocked that somebody could even notice me

" I have come for the interview " I told her politely

She didn't look at me with a judging gaze but with a calm demoner and I must admit i love her already

" what's your name ?" she asked me trying to chat with me

"Am Crystal Hayes and you" I asked her trying to continue with the conversation

"Am Luna May nice to meet you Crysta" she told me

" If I may ask why would you want to work on our company " she asked me and to me she was like a friend already so I could be honest with her

" well to be honest I am new in town and I graduated from college last year i always wanted to come to this city since most of the people hear are working and having a good life " I told her honestly

She looked at me with her big round dark eyes filled with interest in me i could see the youthful look on her she would be in her late twenties if am not wrong

"While I want to support my family and also myself because I come from a village very far from the city "

" ooh okay i hope you get the job am looking forward to working with you " she said genuinely

" I hope so to" I told her with a look that was not so sure but was determined to get the job

" If you get the job I wanna be your friend okay" She told me enthusiastically

I was happy atleast somebody was genuinely interested in me. For the first time I saw a person who could be a friend to me

She pointed to me to a room that had other people waiting

I walked in with my head bowed and took a sit in an empty chair the people who came were dressed to kill some had big files and if am sure it contained all the qualifications that were needed to qualify for the job

I felt embarrassed I only had my Degree certificate and my clothes did not have quality as theirs

Across me sat a woman who seemed to be in her mid twenties and she looked at me with disdain I could feel the others looking at me with stolen gazes

Yah i know I was plain did not have makeup and my hair was up in a ponytail if I were to be asked i didn't look at all professional

People went in and came out most with long faces I was sure that they did not get accepted into the company

I was the last and only two people were before me and I was anxious my plans were sweating and I didn't know what to do

Just then the person who was in the room came out smiling and you would guess who it was the lady who seemed to despise me a lot

The other members came out and I knew that it was over because they had come out I stood up and all eyes were on me. But they just kept quiet and continued

After they left I sat down with a look that was complicated I didn't know what to do since I wanted the job

I chose to accept it for now and to be true I had another interview next day hope was not lost at least

When I was taking my bag to go away the man next to me told me that were not finished yet that it was just a lunch break and it would continue at around two in the afternoon

I still had hope actually the reason I really want to get hired by this company is because its salary is mouth watering

" Where are you going to get your lunch ? " i asked him

"At the cafe down stairs "

"There is a cafe down stairs? " I asked shocked this company was very equipped

" The crazy thing is that I was told that the food is for free and also for us " He told me with excitement written all over his face

" I better eat a lot to fill my stomach to save the money for tonight's food " he told me and I was shocked the man looked like a well off man why would he say such a thing

I looked at him quizzically demanding an answer

"Hey don't judge me for the kind of clothes that I am wearing I actually borrowed a friend of mine that has a stable job" He told me

My mouth was in an o shaped form since I never expected such

" Oh come on stop looking at me like that and let's grab a bite "

It was a buffet serving and when we sat down on our chairs I came to learn that he was a sales specialist and had not had a job for two years and that he was looking forward to getting a job

He was almost like me just that he was a man and I was woman but we understood each other very well
