The mafia's obsession

If anybody would have told me that I would be able to get to this city then i would have just laughed out loud and said it was in your dreams. This is a dream come true coming to star city was a dream back home. Everybody who came here had a promising future there were business opportunities everywhere and having graduated from the University showed me a ray of hope in my life I was a business finance major and I was looking forward to getting a decent job . I arrived at the star city at around noon. This allowed me to get enough time to look for an apartment and settle in. I tracked it a long way and it was not easy finding an affordable house. Everything was super expensive my pocket would cry if i over did it. I needed to find an apartment quickly or else I would sleep outside. After a long search i found a decent apartment but the landlord was something else he had constantly told me about not paying rent on time. I had to assure him that I would pay it on time. I then went to buy some furniture just to fill the void space in my new apartment. By now it was already eight in the afternoon. I got into a small restaurant and ordered the cheapest meal i could find which was just a bowl of mashed potatoes and beans I wounded how on earth was I going to survive. As I was heading back to my new apartment on a dark corner i witnessed a big man bullying a small kid i don't know but my head told me to just run away. "Hey Crystal you don't know who they are just mind your business" my mind kept telling me. But something was not letting me just go. An unknown courage stirred up in me. I don't know where it came from. I was usually reserved and I would have just walked away. I took the first step my mind screamed to turn back and go away I didn't listen i just kept on moving forward. "Hey you leave him alone" I told the big man. Not even looking at me "If I were you I would just mind my business" he told me barely looking at me. I got angry with this rude behavior. This made me want to protect that man more something that I had never experienced was stirring in me. " I told you to stop it or i will call the police" I threatened him. He laughed with a mockery laughter "Do you think I am afraid of the police?" He asked me with his deep masculine voice . something in me did not want to give up. He said all this not even looking at me "Yes I told you to stop or i will call the police!" this time i said it more confidently. He stopped looking at the man and turned to look at me due to the dark i could not see him clearly but he moved very close to me so that I could smell his scent i smelled like earth and wood with mint. That scent was so hypnotizing that at first my mind went blank i could not even think but his aura was of arrogance " Cat got your tongue?" he asked. This made me come back to my senses and I nodded my head in agreement. He looked at me with eagle like eyes trying to read me but he got non " You will come to know who Leo Hills is " he told me with a very serious expression on his face. He left me there I was dumb founded. I looked at the man sitted on the floor he had his head swinging down he then looked at me His gaze was intimidating. He had the same aura as Mr high and mighty. He ignored me and started to pick the scattered pieces of paper documents that were on the floor I offer to help him but he slapped my hand away "Ouch... what was that for?" I asked him in a lot of pain his hand was very strong not like the sympathetic baby face he had . He stood up not even giving me a glance. It was as if he degraded me or he was too proud like Mr high and mighty He walked a few steps that seemed to be powered by rebellion or was it defeat? one could not know because his steps were silent and the silence made my heart ponder He suddenly looked back his gaze sharp like he could read my every thought. He looked at me up and down. His eyes were like to pairs of moon because that was the only thing i could see of him in the dark. This feature made me think of ghosts. How could someone's eyes be soo bright? " Next time learn to mind your own business " he told me with a chilly voice. " Hey atleast have gratitude because I have saved you from Mr high and mighty " I told him seriously He turned back all of a sudden. Step by step he approached me. I moved back rhythmically until I hit the wall " You think you have saved me ? " he told me sarcasm evident in his voice "You have actually made it worse for me and bad for you" "Do you know who you have messed with?" "If I were you I would run far away when I still have the time " "Just know he will come for you" he said those words like a horror movie " One lesson just mind your business" He started to walk away with long strides like someone escaping from something After a brief moment I regained myself and just stopped ponding on their words.
