Soon the sun started to set, the men had been hard at work all day, setting up tents which would hold up against terrible weather. Gathering fruits had been so easy that after the second trip in which they brought back the sack filled to the brim with fruits, Captain Hernais had to stop them from getting more fruit lest it all went to waste. As the non-Mages were all busy, Captain Hernais sent them off to keep watch for passing ships. They could carry very little from the ship and other than what few equipment had been found in the boats which were salvaged to use to make the tents, everything else had been swallowed up by the monster. He wished he had his compass on him then perhaps he could have predicted how soon they would be getting a ship but even that had fallen out in the fray
