Saved by my brother

We had been running for nearly a day and were both exhausted, hot, thirsty and hungry. I never ate yesterday and I promised V I'd share my food with her but I screwed up. Since she isn't 18 she can't shift and my wolf is mia so running in wolf form to be faster is out of the question. I figured we were far enough from Dark moon pack that we could go ahead and rest. My body was in an enormous amount of pain, so I needed the break.

"Stephany. You're going to hurt yourself even more if we don't stop soon."

Veda was out of breath.

"I know, we can stop, but not for long. We need to keep moving and find the human town. That way we are safe."

"Oh thank you moon goddess! I'm so tired. Wait... Stephany look."

I turned to look at her and saw her pointing. I followed the direction of her finger and saw there was a stream. We rushed to it and used our hands to scoop water for us to drink. Not the best water, but it will suffice. Once I felt my thirst was quenched, I dunked my long hair and splashed my face. Veda followed suit. Once we were all cooled down we rested for 30 minutes. I decided that it was time for us to keep moving. We had no idea where we were and I wanted to make sure we were not being tracked. Danny and Chris would not give up. We began walking again and were stopped by some guys, werewolves, but not rouges, which meant trouble for us. How didn't we hear them?

"told you assholes. I heard something this way, but noooo, I'm losing it right?"

One guy said, playfully shoving the other. I thought back to what happened at Dark noon and figured I would try whatever I did again.

"Yeah yeah, keep bragging Jake. Who are you? what are your names? why are you here?"

"We don't know where here is. We are just passing through. We don't want any trouble. Let us go"

I answered him with a stern voice as I looked him in the eyes, but nothing happened

"You're on our territory. That's where here is and you're trespassing."

"We're on pack lands?"

"Yes you are, now tell us your names.......

NOW!!"

He growled, being rude.

"You don't need to know our names!"

I growled back.

"Like I said, we don't want any trouble, let's

go V."

I tell her as I grab her arm, trying to lead us away from them but was stopped again, anger spiking in me.

"You two aren't going any..."

He was interrupted

"What the hell are you dumb shits doing?"

"Alpha, beta. We heard noises and followed them and found trespassers"

All the men bowed.

"WE'RE NOT TRESPASSING!"

I growled again, yelling

"Stephany? Veda?"

My head snapped to the side at the familiar voice and face of my brother.

"A...Ad...Adam?"

I couldn't formulate any words. I did not except to see him but I was ecstatic non the less. I missed him.

"Do you know these two ladies, Adam?"

Another man had asked my brother.

"Yes I do, Alpha Joseph. This is Veda and my baby sister, Stephany."

The Alpha said hello followed by the others. We both said hey back, then Adam engulfed me in a big hug to which I hugged him back as tears filled my eyes. It's been a year since we've seen each other and I was beyond happy. Adam hugged me a little too hard and made me wince in pain. He let me go and was studying me, more specifically, my head. I knew he would want to know what happened to me, at the moment I did not want to tell him anything. Yes he knew of some things but not the abuse or that our parents and Chris were also a part of it and I knew he'd want to kill them.

"What the f**k happened to your head? Why are you wincing? Why are you guys not at the pack? How long have you guys been gone? What is going on?"

all the questions I dread to answer.

"That's why I was having trouble deciding if they where rouges or not. They are from a pack, but they smell."

The guy Jake states non-chalant, before I could even answer. I glared at him. How dare he say we smell! its only been a day. He held his hands up in surrender. I rolled my eyes and answered one of my brother's questions.

"A little over a day... I think, and we do not smell asshole."

"You kind of do sis."

Everyone snickered and I glared at them again.

"Okay, okay. That is enough guys. You ladies must be hungry. Let's get inside and eat and then you can explain why you two are not at home."

The Alpha offered. joy, I'm looking forward to it. I mentally roll my eyes. Adam draped his arm over my shoulder, careful not to hurt me as he led the way. When we entered the front door to the pack house all eyes were on us until my brother growled at them. We were led into a dining room and took our seats. A very beautiful lady with auburn hair and chestnut eyes came in and went right to the Alpha's side. He got up, kissed her temple and pulled a chair out for her to take a seat. what a gentleman. You could tell she was his mate just by the way he looked at her when she came in. He adores her. I wish I could have had a mate that would be that way, but nooo, the moon goddess hates me. She smiled warmly at us as she introduced her self.

"Hello ladies, my name is Allison."

"Hello Luna"

We acknowledge her and bow our heads in respect.

"Oh, You can just call me Allison. No need to

be formal."

"Thank you."

When the food came out we wasted no time in digging in, stuffing our faces. When I looked up everyone at the table was staring at us. Adam had an eyebrow raised. V shrunk in her seat but I kept eating making every laugh. I had zero f***s. This b***h was starving. Once we finished, Alpha Joseph tells us he wants us in his office so we can chat.

"Hunny, it is getting late. Let the girls sleep

and then we can talk to them tomorrow."

Thank you Luna Allison!

I thought to myself. She is a life saver.

"Alright, fine. Adam, why don't you show the girls to the spare guest rooms on the second floor. I'll have Allison bring some clothes from some of our girls and you guys can shower. First thing in the morning we will all talk. Goodnight girls."

With that, he and Allison took their leave. V and I said goodnight to them and Adam showed us to our rooms. We were both really tired. Veda went into her room and we entered mine. Adam sat down on the bed and looked up at me. I knew he wanted answers to his questions but he didn't bother asking again. Before I went to the bathroom he got up and hugged me again. I felt something wet on my shoulder and noticed he was crying. I reached up and wiped his tears away. He kissed the top of my head.

"I've missed you sis, so much. I'm so happy to see you. Tomorrow I want to know what happened. I deserve to know. I love you, goodnight."

"Goodnight Adam. I love you too and I've missed you so damn much. I will tell you everything."

Once he left, I got my shower, got dressed and laid in the bed and let the tears fall. I cried myself to sleep. After FINALLY getting some much needed but not nearly enough rest, my annoying big brother decided to grace me with his presence.

"Good morning sleeping beauty."

He says whilst pulling the blanket from my face. ugh! I groan at him whilst I peer at him with one eye whilst the other is closed. If there was a competition for who can groan the most, I would be the winner. Hands down. That's all I seem to do lately. I tried to turn over but Adam wasn't having it. He yanked the covers off of me. asshole. I chucked a pillow at his head.

"Ouch! hahaha. What was that for?"

"Calm down ya big baby. It was just a pillow

not a brick, and you didn't have to take the

covers. I would have gotten up....eventually."

I whispered the last part under my breath.

"I know, but Alpha has breakfast ready, then wants to talk to you and V. By the way I heard that!

"Whatever! let me get dressed and I'll be right down."

I did just what I said and hurried down stairs. These people have been nothing but kind taking us in so I don't want to be rude. If it were dark moon I would have probably taken my sweet ass time but I couldn't show that kind of disrespect to such caring people. I was surprised to see Veda already down here considering she is so timid with people but let it go. I was happy she was opening up a bit. Once we ate we followed the Alpha to his office. There was a couch and a few chairs by his huge oak desk where he gestures us to sit. He took a seat on the other side in a black leather chair that spins. After waiting a few minutes the door opens and in walk a guy whom we hadn't met yet.

"Ah, beta Noah. Thank you for joining us."

I'm looking at him and my brother. did he say beta?

"Now that we.."

"I'm sorry, did you say beta? As in also? are you and you?"

I cut the Alpha off, still looking back and forth at them whilst pointing and smiling. My brother seemed to catch on.

"OH HELL NO!!! NO no no."

He starts laughing hysterically whilst Noah and the others look confused.

"Care to share with the rest of the class?"

The Alpha asks Adam who is still laughing. Once he calmed down some he let everyone know what I was thinking making everyone else laugh as well. Even myself.

"My sister thought that Noah and I were a couple because we are both betas."

I don't have any problem with gays. You can't help who you love and who are we to judge? Everybody deserves love and to be loved and the Moon goddess chooses the right person for you, sometimes. Noah grabbed my brother by the face playfully whilst pretending to kiss him making everyone laugh even more.

"Come here baby."

"Get away from me."

"Now that we have all had a good laugh it's time to get serious. Why did you guys run away? You know becoming a rogue is not a good thing. You're lucky you both ended up here and not somewhere else. you would have been executed."

I bowed my head. He was right. I didn't even know where to begin.

"Yes Alpha we know, but in all honesty we were going to find the human town and live our lives there."

"Why? what is wrong with your pack?"

Noah blurts out.

"Alpha, If I may. I would like to say a few things first before the girls. It will help you better understand the situation."

He nodded his head, giving my brother the okay.

"Do you remember when you met me at warrior training when Noah introduced us? You asked me which pack I came from and I told you it's a long story?"

"Of course. I saw the potential you have in you and you told me you no longer had a pack. That's when I offered you a position as the second beta."

"I didn't even know that's allowed."

I really didn't. I've never heard of a pack doing that.

"Sweetheart, this is my pack and I run it how I see fit. If I choose two betas that is my decision. I know my pack would be in good hands If anything happens to me and I'd trust my pack to appoint the right man to be Alpha."

"Anyway, my former pack are not the nicest people. I was to be beta there but they mistreat people, such as my sister and Veda. I couldn't help run that kind of pack. I One day I saw the former Luna h..hit my sister and I confronted her and the Alpha about it. They used their commands on me and told me to never interfere again. That she was being disrespectful."

I snapped my head up to look at my brother. I never knew that.

"I always tried to protect her from the people in our pack but when I literally couldn''t, I chose to leave. I'm so sorry baby sis. I NEVER wanted to leave you but It killed me to be so damn powerless, so I

gave up my beta position and knew you would be safe with mom and dad."

"But I wasn't!"

I shouted and stood up and instantly regretted it because I hurt myself in the process and now I'd have to explain.

"What do you mean you weren't? What is going on? I want to know what happened to you."

Adam glared at me and slightly growled. I knew he wasn't mad at me though. So I didn't take it personally

"I'm fine."

"Okay Stacy, and I'm the president of the

United States. You look like you were about

to pass out from pain. You got pale white."

Noah says to me sarcastically. I roll my eyes. Pretty boy here is pissing me off.

"It's Stephany jackass, now shut it before I

throat punch you."

"Stephany Lyn, if I have to say your last na..."

"THE WHOLE DAMN PACK ABUSES US!"

I snap my head to V and glare at her whilst she looks like she is about to flip out and slowly turn to look at my brother who looks apoplectic.

"Don't look at me like that Steph. You weren't going to tell them. We both know it. I'm tired of being quiet. They deserve to know the truth about what that s**t hole pack has done to us."

Where was all this coming from? she has never spoken to ANYONE like this. I think my bestie has finally had her breaking point and I am proud of her.

"I'm guessing that is why you ladies left?"

"Yes sir."

"Why did they beat you?"

Allison asked me.

"Which time?"

V states. I hear Adam trying to contain his breathing. I knew he was about to lose it the more I spoke.

I looked at her with wide eyes.

"They don't usually have a reason. They just do."

"What happened this time? and don't you dare lie to me. We can all see you're hurt, Understand?"

I nod my head slowly. Here goes my brother losing his s**t.

I, um.. I found my m..ma..mate. He was busy screwing someone and I guess he smelled me and kicked her out. She stood there looking at me and told her to leave. I'm not allowed to talk to pack members unless they ask me something that needs an answer. He forcefully ki..kis... kissed me to which I slapped him and he returned the favor with a p...punch and then he rejected me and I immediately accepted. I didn't want someone who beats and tortures me for a mate. Well as I was serving food later that night for the Alpha ceremony I was ambushed by her, Morgan and Sam for speaking to a pack member. I woke up in the hospital the next morning and had no recollection of how I ended up there and I knew if they found me they would kill me, literally. They told me that all the time and I missed cooking breakfast. So I had to leave. We where slaves to that f*****g pack and starved!"

"WHAT!!

My brother gritted through his teeth. His whole body was shaking with anger. I could feel it.

"Adam, son, calm down. let her finish.

What about your parents? did they ever try

to stop the abuse?"

I looked up at my brother with sad eyes. I knew he really was not going to like the answer. He always loved our parents and to hear they also abused me isn't going to be pretty.

"No. They helped too. They kicked me out of my home, saying it was the Alpha and Luna's wishes."

I lowered my head as tears began to fall.

BANG!!

Adam punched a gaping hole in the wall of the Alpha's wall. I began to sob and gasps were heard. Allison had her hand over her mouth and V had tears in her eyes. She didn't know about me finding my mate and I told her I didn't want to talk about what happened to me or where I was before we left. Adam came over to me and held me while I cried.

"When was the beating?"

"My birthday."

"You're birthday? you're f*****g 18th birthday? I can't believe this. I'm going to kill them! they are dead!"

My brother dead pans, and by the look in his eyes, he meant it.

"When was you're birthday hunny?"

Allison asks me.

"Two day ago."

"That means you just gained your wolf. You shifted yet?"

My brother was about to say something but I gave him a look and he stopped.

"She hasn't w..wo..woke u..up yet from t..the b..be..beating"

I cried even harder.

"You mean to tell me you haven't met your wolf yet since the beating?"

My brother gave the Alpha a look which I couldn't really make out but I hoped he wasn't going to say anything.

"Aww, you poor things"

Allison said with a sad look on her face.

"Shhhh. It's okay sis. I've got you now. You're safe."

"But you're going to make us go back aren't you?"

I continued to sob.

"No. I'm sure the Alpha and Luna will let you stay as long as you like."

He consoled me as he wiped my tears away.

"This pack sounds like a bunch of reprobates. What is the name of your pack? and those 3 women are bitches! But what I'd like to know is what kind of parents treat their child that way?"

"Those who aren't her real parents"

I stopped what I was saying and snapped my head up to look into my brother's eyes from what I heard.

"What? What did you just say?"

"I didn't say anything."

"Yes, you did."

"Um.. no baby girl, I didn't."

Adam was looking at me like I've lost my mind, but I swear I heard him say that.

"Yes, yes you did. "You said those who aren't her real parents"

His eyes shot open in confusion but he kept denying that he said anything. Everyone was agreeing with him as well.

"Stephany I think you're losing it. He didn't say anything."

"Shut up asshole. I may be injured but push me one more time and I swear to the moon goddess I'll f**k you up!"

I growled at Noah. The Alpha cut it and saved him.

"Alright everyone. We have a very long afternoon and we have missed lunch. I got all the information I needed. Thank you for being honest. Now since it's Friday I want you to relax, mainly you Stephany, since your wolf hasn't awakened yet, because come monday I want you girls to train."

I was giddy. I've always wanted to learn to fight and now I can. But did I really imagine my brother saying that? Everyone was looking at me as if I'd gone crazy. I will let it go for now.

"Thank you Alpha Joe and thank you Ally for everything."

"Joe? Ally?

My brother asks me quizzically.

"Yeah, it sounds better to me, not so stuck up. No offense to Alpha and Luna."

The Alpha and Luna share a look and smile at me.

"It's okay, none taken, we like it."

"See? they like it."

I mock my brother whilst sticking out my tongue at him making everyone chuckle and shake their heads as we exit the office. The weekend went by rather fast and it's now Monday morning. Training time. Because V isn't 18 yet she doesn't have a wolf so she will be training separately with Ally. She is happy to. The Luna took us shopping where we got a bunch of things like clothes, shoes and even makeup to which she taught us how to use and toiletries. I'm now getting ready to head to the kitchen to eat. Once I finished I made my way to the training field to which Noah was waiting. We have become close in the few days I've been here and I have to say he is smoking hot! His short black hair that is shaved underneath and dark brown eyes, and an amazing body. wow! I can tell he likes me. Not just because he flirts but because of my feelings I get and he always finds ways to touch me.

"Stop eye raping him, he is not our mate...even if he is sexy."

"Winter? OMG! You're back. I missed you so much!"

"I am sorry princess. I missed you too. Those fucktards did a number on me"

"Heal you? I'm already on it."

I felt my body relax and I knew she healed me. I love my wolf. I smiled even brighter as I made my way towards Noah.

"Morning Love."

"Good morning."

I lightly blushed.

"Today we will be doing hand to hand combat but I'm going to take it slow and easy since your wolf hasn't awakened yet."

"You don't have to. She is here!"

I'm smiling like a Cheshire cat not able to contain my excitement. Noah looks at me wide eyed.

"You finally gained your wolf?"

"No, I have had her but she was unconscious because of the beating on my birthday."

"Well okay then, I'm so happy for you. let's get to it shall we?"

After practicing for 3 hours straight and Noah telling me I'm a fast learner and how he was impressed with my skills and MULTIPLE times of asking "are you sure you've never trained?" We stopped to drink some water and chat. after 5 minutes He said he wanted me to try and tackle him and when I almost had him he flipped me over and I lost my footing and landed on my hand and we heard it snap.

"s**t! Steph, I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to."

"it's alright. it was an accident. I screwed up."

"We need to get you to the pack hospital and have them reset it."

"There is no need it will heal in a few hours on its own."

Noah took off his shirt and ripped it to make a make shift sling and I was gawking at him. His body is ripped! 6 pack abs, muscles. the works. Whoever his mate is will be lucky as hell. I couldn't help but stare. We both locked eyes and we're just inches apart I could feel his warm breath on my lips and before I knew it I'd crash my lips into his kissing him with full force.After a minute he pulled away, helping me to stand up and pecked my lips once more.

"If you're done checking me out love let's get you to the doctor."

He chuckles and has a cocky smile on his handsome face. asshole. He tried to turn his shirt around my arm. When I lightly touched my hand to wrap it I got this strange feeling over me and my hand was no longer broke.

"What the hell? How did you do that?"

"I told you it would heal. My wolf healed me."

"No, you healed yourself. When you touched your hand your eyes went purple and it looked like some sort of electricity shimmer came out of your hand."

"Look, I don't know what you're talking about Noah. What I do know is I didn't do anything to myself. Can we just forget about this please and continue?"

"Um.. yeah, sure."

That is exactly what we did. We trained every day. V and I have been here now for three months and things are going great. The whole pack welcomed us with open arms. They are nothing like Dark Moon pack. Yesterday V turned 18 and we threw her a surprise party which she loved. I bought her a best friend bracelet set to which I have the other half. As of right now we are all in Alpha Joe's office going over the Alpha meeting that the pack is hosting. Only a few packs from the region will be coming. Later on we will be hosting a pack bbq and in 2 more months the full moon festival will be here, only another pack will host that. Alphas, betas and gamma will be attending with their sons and daughters in hopes someone will find their mate. It sucked for me because very few wolves find a second chance mate and Noah will most likely find his and I'll lose him. He has become like my second best friend. All in all things are going great. All of us ladies are going shopping for the bbq to pick out a few things

John's P.O.V

It has been three months since my mate ran away. Not that I blame her. I have been an absolute wreck. The day she left Jack brought back a few of my best trackers to look for her 20 miles east they lost her scent. We knew of a few packs in either direction but its not like we could go to them and ask if they have seen her. She could be mistaken as a rouge and kill her so that was not an option. I will never give up looking for her. I remember when I made it home. As soon as they saw me they knew something was wrong. They thought I was away on business. Our family owns several construction sites so it is not uncommon that I go away to other locations and plan where or what will be built, so I told my parents. They where happy for me but outraged for my mate.

{Flash back}

"Son, you're hom...What is wrong? What happened?"

"What do you mean ma, I'm fi..."

"Don't you tell us you're fine. I can see it all over your face. Don't you see it Terry?"

"Yes dear, John, your mother's right. You don't look so hot. what's going on?"

It's scary how my parents can read me. Jack was looking between us. You can tell he was nervous. I let out a big sigh and told them.

"I found my mate."

"WHAT??"

They both exclaim in unison, with excitement.

"Son, that's wonde.."

I held up my hand, stopping my mother from continuing.

"She is gone. She ran away. She was being beaten by the former Luna of Dark moon pack, her daughter and someone else I don't know. I stopped them from killing her. They would have. I took her to the pack hospital and was told that it wasn't the first time either. She is the pack slave. everyone, including her parents have abused her and they starve her. She sleeps and bathes outside. She isn't allowed to even talk. When I woke up I went to get snacks and when I returned she was missing. I heard the former Alpha and Luna and their daughter arguing. I thought they had something to do with it but they didn't. She broke the window. I tried to track her but her scent was lost."

"Oh my moon goddess, that poor girl."

My mother covered her mouth with her hand and a sob escaped her lips. She lean hugged me tightly

"Don't worry son, we will find her."

My father tried to assure me as he pated me on the back. I hope so was all I kept thinking.

{End of flashback}

Ever since then we have searched and I have had the shittiest sleep. So now Jack and I. are headed to Sliver stream pack for the Alpha meeting. Because my pack is the strongest in the region they want to become a sister pack to us and have my warriors train them. I don't know why though because they are the second strongest pack. So I'm to get there early to go over some paper work and look around where they want to do construction. They are adding a new warrior training building and some cottages so they can expand.
