Alpha meeting

John's P.O.V

Jack and I arrived at the Silver Stream pack, When we pulled into the driveway we were stopped by two guards who asked us who we were and where we were from. I noticed on each side of the gate there were two stone towers. In those towers were a couple of guys in each one. Two of the men had rifles pointed at the gate. The rifles were mounted on something so that their hands were free but they stayed close to the guns just in case they needed to use them fast. I had to admit I liked that idea. If an attack were to happen they would be killed before even entering. At my pack, my guards are hidden all around the territory. Some are in high places, some are in low places. I also have men in towers all around my property but they are hidden as well. The only visible towers are in the back. Trust me when I say, if you f**k with the ones I love and my pack, you don not leave my territory alone and IF and that's a BIG if by some chance you do leave, you definitely will not be the same. Anyway, I told the gentleman who we were. He glanced at Jack and I and then looked over the list on his clip board a few times and nodded his head, dialed a series of numbers on the gate key pad and waved us. When we pulled up in front of the pack house another man came out, opened our doors and greeted us. We got out of the SUV and handed the keys over and I watched as he drove the SUV away and parked it. Another man ushered us into the house and had us follow him into the pack house. There was a hallway to the left of the living room, past the dining hall. We stopped at the third door on the right of that hallway and waited as the man knocked.

"Come in "

Someone announced from the other side of the door and the man that we were following opened the door for us to enter. Once Jack and I were inside the man followed behind us and bowed his head at Alpha Joe. Jack and I did the same. Even though I, myself an an Alpha, this is his pack and I am here for two reasons. One, The Alpha meeting and two, he has hired my construction company to do some work for him and I will be respectful. When Jack finished bowing his head the Alpha greets us

"Good Afternoon. Alpha John and gamma Jack. How are you gentlemen doing? Can I get you anything? any refreshments?"

He extends his hand for us to shake and we obliged.

"No thank you Alpha Joe, we are okay for now. Thank you for the offer though and we are doing great. How are you doing this afternoon"

"I am doing just great. Gentlemen, I would like you to meet my betas, Adam and Noah."

Betas? like both of them are betas?

I was taken aback at first and confused and I narrowed my eyes at them both but thankfully they didn't notice. I have never heard of a pack with two beats before. Normally it is "this is my beta and his mate." maybe that's what he meant. Who knows and if they are a couple, then good for them. I shook the thought away from my mind. I didn't want to seem like I'm coming off rude or that I have a problem with same s*x couples because I absolutely do not. I one thousand percent support them, and rude or insensitive is not who I am whatsoever and who am I to tell another Alpha how to run their own pack?

"You can call me John. It is nice to meet you

guys."

I greet them, shaking their hands as Alpha Joe chuckles a bit.

"And you can call me Joe, John, and welcome to the Sliver Stream pack. This is the guy I was telling you about that is going to do the construction and new add ons to our pack."

Joes announces with excitement in his voice. he has some big plans coming soon and he really can't wait.

"It's a pleasure to be here. Your place is nice and I want to thank you for considering my company to do what you would like to have done here. I can assure you that my company as well as myself will make sure you will not be disappointed. I pride myself and my company to be excellent."

I tell Joe and we all begin to take our seats at the huge round table.

"Thank you John. I have heard nothing but wonderful things about your company. So I believe you and people have assured me that you are the best of the best so it was a no brainer.

I smile internally, not wanting to come off as a cocky prick but it always makes me happy when people put on good words on my behalf. Michael's Construction has a five star rating and I intend to keep it that way. We all got settled in and I got straight to work. I take my job very seriously and I pride myself in the work my company does. It's been in my family for years and each one of us added our own style to things and year after year the company grew and grew and has several different locations and now my company is the best construction company there is both with the supernatural world and the Human world.

"So, I've drawn up some designs that I would like you to look at. I have come up with a few different choices. Let me know which one you like the most and then you like, you can show me where you want to put the new warrior building?"

I ask as I look at Joe who smiles and nods his head. I pulled up the blue prints on my tablet and handed it over. I watched as we swiped the pages and stopped on one. He looked over it several times, even showing Adam and Noah, who both smirked, like what alpha Joe picked out. After some more time looking at the plans on the tablet, he then showed me which one he had liked best and I nodded my head. Being as I'm staying here tonight for The Alpha meeting I figured I would go ahead and get a contract ready.

"Okay, so since I am leaving tomorrow, I will draw up a contract for you to sign and next week we can begin work. If you are ready, why don't we go look where you want the new warrior building and houses to go?"

I ask. One of the main reasons I came early was to do that so I have a jump start and can send the information to my guys so they can get everything ready for the work to begin.

"Sure. That sounds great. Adam, Noah The other Alphas and Elders should be arriving soon. Why don't you go greet them and when I'm done showing John where everything will be going we will all meet up and head to the meeting room for the Alpha meeting."

"Yes Alpha"

The guys take their leave to go greet the other alphas and elders. We exited the office shortly after. Once we reached outside Joe was telling me where he wants the homes to go. He is trying to expand his pack as well. He showed me where the old warrior building was and to my left I noticed they had the back yard set up for the bar b que. I was trying to pay attention to what he was saying but Blaze was acting strange and it was hard for me to concentrate.

"Can you calm down? I have work to do you know and you're giving me a headache."

"I'm sorry"

Was all he said which kind of caught me off guard. Not because he apologized, but how he said it, like he was smirking and all giddy like a teenager fangirling their favourite singer. He was acting like he knew something and was eager for me to find out, but the timing had to play out. He was becoming super antsy and it was pissing me off. I mentally shook my head at him and rolled my eyes but then I noticed a girl a few feet from us. She was standing on a step ladder, putting lights around the archway. Blaze's heart rate began to quicken and so did mine. I couldn't tear my eyes away from her and I'm so glad that I hadn't otherwise she would have fallen.

"And over here is where the new warrior

build..."

I didn't even hear the last part of what he was saying because I took off running when the girl lost her footing and began to fall, using my werewolf speed to get to her, I caught her just in time too as she landed in my arms bridal style. Then I smelled it, It hit me like a ton of bricks. Her smell was so intoxicating and inviting and then the shocks and tingles shot up my arms. I couldn't believe it. It was her. It was Stephany! My lost mate whom I've been searching for every f*****g day. That's why Blaze was acting the way he was and said what he said the way he did, he knew she was close and didn't say anything to me.

"I heard that."

"No s**t, you were supposed to."

I mocked my wolf who was running circles in my head and our hearts were pounding. I have looked everywhere for her and here she is, in my arms. She slowly lifts her head up and as soon as our eyes meet we both say "mate" at the same time. Urgh, even her voice made my heart quicken. I asked her if she was okay.

"Are you okay?"

when she answered she fumbled a "yes and thank you"

"Y..yes thank you."

It was cute. I smiled down at her. I couldn't help but stare into those blue eyes of hers. They were like a crystal or an ocean color, just so mesmerizing. They were the most gorgeous set of eyes I have ever seen. I didn't want to, but I knew that I had to put her down so she could stand. I didn't want her to be or feel uncomfortable in any way I did, however keep my hand on her lower back. I was in complete awe of her. She was beyond stunning. She was breathtaking. I didn't realize how short she was since the last time I had seen her I was carrying her. I introduced myself to her but we kept staring at one another. I told her I was glad I was able to catch her on time.

"I'm John."

She kept staring at me as I told her my name We both remained silent just looking at one another. I totally forgot that Alpha Joe was around until I heard a throat clearing. Stephany blushed a light shade of pink and lowered her head, not able to meet my gaze. I chuckled slightly. She looks absolutely adorable when she is being shy. I am not too sure when, but Alpha Joe was there and he told me her name for her because he said she was taking too long. She rolled her eyes at him.

"I'm going to go back, the meeting will start soon."

With that, Joe hugged Stephany and winked at her. We stayed in a comfortable silence for quite a few minutes, just staring at one another. I noticed that she was about to say something to me and when she went to open her mouth slightly, getting ready to speak, Jack came running up, immediately stopping her from saying whatever she was going to say and lowered her head. I was so aggravated and when I turned to look at him he could see it on my face.

urgh, thanks man.

his timing was terrible. I knew it wasn't his fault though.

"Hey man, I ca... yo, what's up?"

He questioned when he saw the look on my face. I just did movements with my eyes and shifted my body slightly so he could get a look at her. His eyes widen and he smiled at me.

"The meeting is about to start."

He lets me know.

"Thank you. Jack, I would like you to meet Stephany, my mate. Stephany, this is my gamma Jack."

I introduce Stephany and Jack. He kept smiling so damn wide and it made me happy knowing that he is happy for me and I know he is happy for his Luna

"NO WAY!! Congrats man. It's so nice to

meet you."

He says excitedly and extends his hand for a shake, she looked nervous but then she obliged, taking his hand in return.

"You too."

She replies in a whisper like tone. I look at my gamma, a look that says give me a moment alone and thankful he gets it and slightly nods his head in understanding.

"I will be right behind you Jack. Just give me a

minute. please."

"No problem. Stephany, I will see you later, and again, it was nice to meet you."

"Thank you, it was nice meeting you as well."

She replied back to him. Jack turns around and walks away, heading for the pack house and leaving me with my mate. I turned to face her again.

I think to myself, and Blaze totally agrees.

"I have to go to the meeting. I'll see you after?

at the bar b que?"

I question, with one eyebrow raised, hoping she'll say yes.

please say yes! Please say yes!

I mentally begged. Man, she is so f*****g gorgeous. I can't stop staring at her.I can't help it either. She has long dirty blonde hair, the most gorgeous blue eyes that I can easily get lost in, she has the most juicy lips that I can't wait to kiss, her body is literally perfection. She is 5'4 and she is filled out in all the right places. Just amazing!

"O..okay"

She softly says. I then leaned in and I kissed her forehead softly and sweetly before turning and leaving.I couldn't help it. I just wish her forehead was her lips. I did not want to go but I had to. I turned back around just to make sure I wasn't dreaming, that she was really there She waved at me and smiled. I then picked up my pace and made my way inside the pack house to go to the meeting room. Once I entered I took my seat next to Jack who was smiling like a Cheshire cat, so was I to be honest. I was ecstatic. My smile quickly faded when I saw the alpha and former alpha of Dark Moon. I glared at Danny. I really wanted to rip him to shreds.

"Welcome Alphas, elders and betas to this year's annual meeting. There are a few things that we need to discuss. The first is which pack I will

choose as a close pack and the second is the renewal of the peace treaties we have with a few of the packs."

There was murmuring and whispers about who Alpha Joe had selected. What they don't know is he already has. It is mine. As far as the peace treaties, well I'm backing out of two. These packs are ruthless, despicable and greedy. I do not wish to stay connected to them. One of the Elders spoke up.

"I have given a lot of thought about this and

have looked over what is best for my pack. I

will choose the Full moon Pack as my close alliance."

meaning a very strong alliance with us.

I heard someone scoff at that and when I looked around I realized it was Alpha Chris and his father. Both looked pissed off because. Losing my pack is a blow to them and they know it. Elder Rick spoke a bit harshly at them.

"Is there a problem, Alpha Chris?"

Elder Rick asks Chris with an unimpressed eyebrow raised.

"No sir, I just find it funny as to why Alpha Joseph

wants Full moon as their alliance pack in the first place."

what a piece of s**t.

Chris snorts and rolls his eyes whilst crossing his arms over his chest. Arrogant as ever. Just like is father. He is pissed because he wants my pack on his side it would grant them full immunity.

no f*****g way.

"Why is none of concern. Now if there aren't any more objections can we continue with this meeting."

no one else said anything so Elder Rick continues.

"Then it is settled. The full moon Pack is now in your alliance Alpha Joe. Now to the renewal

or dismissal of the peace treaties with Dark

moon and Dark Skies pack. What do you

say Alpha John?"

"I would like to withdraw both treaties."

Before Elder rick could ask anyone else Elder Mark spoke up.

"Why is that young Alpha?"

"I have wanted out for a while. My father kept the treaty but he is no longer the Alpha. I don't want anything to do with ruthless, evil packs such as them."

This time Danny spoke up.

"Everything we have done for our pack has been legal!"

He growled.

Bullshit.

"I'm not questioning that. But you both slaughtered entire packs full of women and children when you could have let them go, and for what? I also don't like how you treat your members!"

I growled back. Alpha Joe's beta, Adam was looking between us, like he was trying to understand what was going on.

"And how do you know how they treat their members Alpha John?"

Elder Mark asked me with a slight attitude.

"I saw what happened to a member. She was beaten so badly that she almost lost her life."

"And you witnessed this, did you?"

"Not the whole thing but I stopped it."

"I see, well did you know that she attacked a ranked member? It was warranted."

I didn't believe a word he said.

"You know something about this Elder Mark?

Elder Rick asked. I could see Chris shifting in his seat uncomfortably. Something was obviously bothering him by the look on his face and how he was acting, but I didn't know what. It didn't sit right with me. He is just like his father. A cocky piece of s**t.

"I was told about it, yes."

"Nothing warrants a three on one beating. There is a proper way of handling that!"

I seethed. I was like a raging bull. Even Jack looked ready to kill these bastards. They had nothing to say about that.

"Alpha John is right."

"Rivals we are then"

Danny spat.

good, I wanted nothing to do with that pack or them for that matter.

"So be it!!"

I growled through gritted teeth. I was ready for this meeting to be over. I wanted to see my mate. Other than mine and Alpha Joe's pack, they wanted to keep their treaties but decided to also withdraw at what they found out, which pissed Danny and Chris off even more. They realized that they pretty much had no packs backing them should the need arise.

"Alright gentleman. let's calm down. If there is nothing else this meeting is now over. Alpha Joe has made accommodations for everyone. They are having a bar b que and then after that they will show us to our rooms. Before we leave the room, Elder Mark?"

Elder Rick gets Elder Mark's attention.

"Yes"

"If I were you I would put in your resignation."

oh f**k.

I was shocked but smiling on the inside.

"I beg your pardon?"

"Seeing as you knew of this and did nothing about it, I'm sure the other Elders would love to hear about this. I am utterly disgusted at hearing such heinous acts happen and you turned a blind eye!"

Elder Mark was mad but Elder Rick was worse. He was beyond f*****g pissed. I have never seen him so much as angry.

"You can't do this!!"

"I have done nothing! You have, by letting such heinous acts go without proper investigation. This meeting is also recorded so the other Elders will receive the video. I'm sure they will all agree with me YOU ARE ALL DISMISSED!"

Elder Rick boomed. I could tell he was beyond mad. I couldn't blame him. Once everyone left and it was just Joe, Jack, Elder Rick and myself, I thanked him for backing me. I was beyond happy this meeting was over. I was ready to see my mate.
