CHAPTER 8

991 Words
Present: Jeff looked at Cain as he was shaking in fear. The man for a six foot five man looked spineless as he looked at Jeff, Klaus and Steve. He would not blame him though. Anyone who had done what he done would be scared shitless in the face of an angry Supreme. “Calm down Cain.” Klaus tried to pacify him “We are not going to hurt you. We just want to know were the devil monkey is and if we find him, we will most likely find Tami and your son.” “Do you think if I knew where he was, I would not have come to you for aid from the start? He calls only when he needs something from me” Cain replied “I have attempted tracking his calls down but it’s all a dead end. It’s like he purposely does not want to be found, obviously.” Jeff stood up from the chair he had been sitting on, on the other side of the room, just watching them interrogate Cain. He was not up for it right now at all. No ideas or clues were coming up in his head. He just wanted to stop. He stood up from the chair and that's when it hit him, this monkey devil was playing mind games and they would be stupid to think normally, they had to think of every possible and impossible plan of action in the book. “Klaus take with you ten fully armed men back to his home in Chicago, make it look like a party, a mandatory celebration for the assassin's although if he is smart he will suspect, so he will call.” “How will he know?” Cain asked “Your house is bugged” Jeff replied “Make sure you keep him on the line for exactly seven minutes, five minimum. Ling might be able to track him down within that time.” Jeff turned back to Klaus “Slip out five men and survey the area. My guess is we are sure to catch a spy” “These are all assumptions” Klaus replied “Are you sure it will work?” “It’s better than ordinary reasoning” He replied “Or does anyone have anything better.” “No but it’s more reckless than ordinary reasoning and you know we cannot be reckless” Steve replied “At this point I will swim side by side with sharks to get Tami back, so reckless is just an understatement of how far I will go” with that Jeff left the room running his hand through his hair as he made his way to his room. Jeff hated this house, the only time he had been happy here was when Tami had moved in a week to their wedding, while she had been facilitating her move from New York to Miami. He had shuffled between Miami and New York for three years because he wanted to be with Tami, finally she had agreed to marry him and move to Miami with him and barely minutes to the vows she had been taken from him. He remembered moving in with Tami once they had gotten back from Cuba, because she mentioned needed help with the rent. Their relationship was basically a very fast but it was the realest most important thing to him. It was the only thing that kept him in his right state of mind and messing with Tammy meant messing with his sanity. He had remembered when she finally found out he was an assassin, It had been a few months after they had come back from Cuba. ☆☆☆ Past: Location: New York City Tami sighed as her boss called her into his office. She was still on the Assassin's assignment, although she was tired of the case, she still owed the assignment some care as it was because that assignment she met Jeff. She undid her jacket button as she sat down beside the four other agents who were with her on the case. “We caught a footage of the assassin who killed the Minister of works of South Africa during his visit to America and well it’s here” Baxter, her boss said as he turned his computer to their view. “All we got is a tattoo on his hand stating TR in italics.” Tami squint her eyes, as she watched the video and the assassin turned and rose his hands as it given a signal to another person and once she saw the TR tattoo her world stopped. “ZOOM IN!!!” She ordered but when her boss did not do as she ordered but simply looked at her. She hit a button the laptop to zoom in and there it was all she needed to know it was Jeff's hand. He had gotten a tattoo of her initials over his self-inflicted cuts back in Cuba. “I am taking the day off” she said standing up from her chair as she made her way out of the office. She ignored the calls of her name as she walked to her desk grabbing her bag and her gun. She walked out of the office, luckily her partner knew her well enough not to follow her, and Leah just let her leave. She got in her car as tears ran down her eyes but she made no sound as she drove home. She had never been so angry yet all she wanted was an explanation, anyway he could convince her that was not his hand in the footage any way at all, she would take it. She pushed open the door to her apartment and locked it. “Jeff” She called as she got into the house. “Kitchen” Jeff replied Tami pulled out her gun and went to the kitchen. Jeff was looking into the cabinets, probably searching for what he would cook. “You are back early.” He closed the cabinet and turned to her only to be faced by the barrel of her gun. “Tams” He began “f**k you!”
