Chapter No 6 Alpha's Aggression

1716 Words
I was looking at myself in the mirror. I looked like a dead person who was being forcefully made to get married. The pink gown gracefully fitted my slim build. The color glowed beautifully against my cherry complexion. These days, I found my skin glowing and healthy. I grabbed the perfume from the table and sprayed it on my neck. I liked that smell, though. I knew it was going to be the worst evening because I was going to meet the Alpha’s parents. I still didn’t understand why he wanted to marry me. He knew I was not his mate. Everyone knew that. The door knocked and Selena appeared. She was grinning. “Whoa, you look so beautiful,” she said. I took a deep breath. --- “Hello, Luna,” I said while bowing in front of her. She smirked arrogantly. “Well, I must say, Alpha Benjamin Nigel Rivera… you got a beautiful daughter,” she said, touching my hair. I felt like a scapegoat for them. I looked at my father, who wore a stone expression. “Dad,” I whispered. He looked away. A tear escaped my eyes. We all sat at the dining table. Nathan sat opposite me. Dinner started. They were eating in silence. I had already lost my appetite. “So, Alpha Nigel, we are going to ally the packs,” Luna Maria said. My dad nodded. They were calling him by his middle name. “I think it will be great if we take Ember with us,” Luna said. I instantly looked at my father. He still avoided my eyes. “Sure, why not,” he said. Hearing his own words seemed to stun him. “Dad? What are you talking about?” I shouted, standing up. “What are you talking about?” I repeated. “Ember, sit,” my father ordered angrily. His eyes turned red. “Dad, you can’t send me away. You know I agreed to marry him only because you said I could stay here,” I said, furious. Nathan stood up. “Alpha, your daughter is crossing all limits by raising her voice in front of Alphas,” Luna Maria said sharply. My father looked at me, annoyed. “Dad, I won’t listen to anyone, and I will not leave my home. And now, I will not marry him,” I said angrily. “Ember!” my dad yelled. “Alpha Nigel, your daughter is arrogant, foolish, and a disgrace to you. We are marrying her because she is a damn wolf-less girl, and look how ungrateful she is,” Luna Maria said furiously. “I am not a—” I started to say, but my wolf held me back. “No, don’t tell them you have found your wolf,” she warned. “What?” I whispered in shock. “I will keep her head in place,” Alpha Nathan said angrily. His eyes burned with rage. I stepped back. He grabbed my arm and dragged me toward the stairs. “No! I said leave me!” I screamed. I was acting strange today. All my life I had been a naïve, suppressed girl—never allowed to train because I had no wolf. But today, I fought back against an Alpha. He kept dragging me, and then I found the courage to slap him. “I bow to no man!” I screamed. Nathan stared at me in shock. My father stood up as well. “See? Your daughter dared to slap an Alpha,” Alpha Effel, Nathan’s father, said. He spoke for the first time. Nathan’s ego was shattered. His hand rose and slapped me. My inner lip bled. I looked at my father, hoping for a reaction—any reaction. He stood there emotionlessly. Nathan grabbed my hand again and dragged me toward my room. “Dad!” I cried out, but he didn’t respond. I pushed Nathan away. “Dad, you have lost all your rights over me today. You may be an Alpha, but you are far from being a father,” I cried, rushing upstairs to my room. I slammed the door shut and broke down. “I hate you, Dad!” I screamed. “Alpha should have raised his voice for his daughter,” said Naira, the omega. “Alpha is not good,” said Bella, the other omega. My father sat on a chair and stared at my door. “I think the meeting is over,” Luna Maria said, standing up. She was the most arrogant woman I had ever met. My dad got up and walked out of the house. ********** I cried for hours. “We are pregnant,” Alexa, my wolf, said. I thought I misheard her. “Alexa… what are you talking about? No, this can’t be,” I said, horrified. “It’s true. I am one hundred percent sure,” she said. “No, this can’t be. No! I’m pregnant with a stranger’s baby? No,” I said, shaking. I ran out of the house and into human territory to buy a pregnancy test strip. Walking back to the pack house was the hardest thing I had ever done. I rushed to my room and locked the door. With shaking hands, I took the test. Much to my horror, it was positive. “No… this can’t be… Alpha will kill me,” I said, collapsing to the floor. “I can keep it covered for a while, but not long. After a week, they can hear the heartbeat. We need a plan,” Alexa said. I was trembling with panic. “Relax. No one is going to hurt our pup,” Alexa said softly. “And Alpha will hurt us,” I whispered. “If he finds out we slept with some wolf in the woods that night, everything will be ruined. He will kill us.” “No. We have to leave. We have to leave this pack if we want our pup safe,” Alexa insisted. “Relax, they won’t hear the heartbeat right now,” she added. “What will we do?” I whispered. “We will escape,” she said. “But—” I stopped when the door burst open with a loud thud. Startled, I looked up. To my horror, it was Alpha Nathan. His eyes were red. Pure evil dripped from his gaze. “Nathan,” I whispered. He shut the door behind him. “What the hell are you doing here?” I asked. “If I can’t get you willingly, I will take you by force,” he growled, grabbing my hair. I struggled. “You b***h. You dared to slap me?” he snarled through clenched teeth. “Nathan, let me go,” I said. He pinned me to the bed and slapped me. “I said leave me!” I screamed, fighting, but he was stronger and trained. “Dad!” I cried. “Oh, leave me!” He tore my top apart. I felt weak—terrified—but then I remembered my baby. I couldn’t let him touch me. I had to fight. I cried for hours. “We are pregnant,” Alexa, my wolf, said. I shifted. A huge red wolf, as big as the Alpha, now stood in my place. Nathan stared at me in shock. “You have no idea what you’ve played with,” I mind-linked him and attacked. I heard footsteps. Without wasting a second, I looked at the door—then at the window. I jumped out and ran. More than 300 wolves followed me. I ran as fast as I could until I crossed the territory.
