“Why are so f*****g afraid with your father? He looks like a sweet guy you know” I said
“Don’t be fooled by his flattering words and warm interactions. He is actually a wolf in sheep's clothing” Vermillion said
“I would love to talk about your father but that’s not what I have came here for”
“How about we take a sit and start telling me who the hell is that f**k buddy of yours” I said as I walk to the couch
“Before I tell you who she is I just want to clarify something” Vermillion said
“And what is that?” I ask as I take a seat
“Do you really love Skylia that much?”
“To the extent that you’ll do anything just to bring her back?” He seriously ask
“Dude I really don’t know if what I am feeling for her is love. But the feeling I have when we are together feels like heaven and how she’s gone. I long for her radiant smile, her soothing voice, and her warm and tender touch. I never felt such bliss before” I said
“After all the controversies about her?” Vermillion ask
“I really didn’t mind a single one really. For me that doesn’t define her worth as long as she’s true to me and herself” I said
“What if that sweet and innocent you knew she was is actually a lie”
“She’s really a w***e with a high s*x drive to top that up a f*****g masochist” Vermillion mocks
I can’t handle listening to his bull shits. I stand up and calmly approach him and said
“Take that back” with a serious and pale tone
Vermillion hands me his phone then said
“Play that video again but this time listen to the words that the girl is saying”
“She’s actually the one that proposed to tie her up like that and do her”
“Dude we are men so I think you understand why I did that”
I played the video and it seems what Vermillion is saying is true except for the part that we need to satisfy ourselves in that manner.
“I guess what you are saying is true but what does it have to do with Skylia?” I ask
“Looks like you’re eyes are worthless if you haven’t notice the hair tie she’s wearing” Vermillion said
I replay the video and take a closer look. It looks like the hair tie I was supposed to give to her but didn’t have the chance. I immediately ran towards my room and opened the cabinet where I hid it and the box was gone.
“Is it all clear now Ramon? Dude I care for you so I don’t want you to settle to a girl like her. She doesn’t suits you” Vermillion said
“But how did she manage to acquire that? I know that I didn’t have the chance to give it to her” I said as I recall my thoughts maybe I’ve just forgotten it
“Sorry dude but my men were actually the ones that grabbed that”
“They were actually looking for evidence for your downfall but they found this instead so I handed it over to her. Sorry” Vermillion apologizes
“I’ll forgive you if you tell me where can I find her”
“I want to talk to her personally” I said
“No worries bro you’ll meet her soon enough” Vermillion said
“Hey dude wanna get a drink?” Vermillion propose
“I could but I won’t. We still have classes tomorrow and I have this issue to resolve together with the Trinity and your father” I said
“Dude we won’t take all night. Maybe just two or three bottles”
“Besides the day after tomorrow will be our election day don't you wanna loosen up a bit and unwind? Vermillion trying to win me over
“How about we eat dinner instead?” I propose
“Sure I’ll go grab my keys” Vermillion Excitedly said
We hopped in his car and drove around the city. We stop in front of a three storey building. He tosses his keys to a random stranger wearing a red coat then he enters the establishment. I stop for a while and look at what that dude is going to do but Vermillion pulls me in
“Wait your car!” I raise my voice at him
“Don’t worry dude his job is to park cars”
“Let’s go” He said then walks fast upstairs as if he is in a hurry
The first floor looks like a restaurant and the second floor has this double door with two minotaurs guarding it. Vermillion gives them a fist bump and they open the door for us. Bright light and loud music welcomed us as we stepped in. Ladies of different races are all over the place so do men. We move up the next floor and sit on a comfy couch. With a snap of a finger a waiter rushed his way towards us then hands over a menu. I grabbed it first and I quickly looked at the price. My jaw dropped the moment I my eyes laid on it. Like it’s way too expensive
“Give me that,” Vermillion said as he pulls the menu out of my hand. I places his finger on a random spot and ordered for two and some drinks
“Don’t worry I’ll pay” He cheerfully said
“Say Ramon what did you see in Skylia anyway?”
“Except for her beauty and brains of course” Vermillion ask
“You tell me? I thought you were head over heels for her?” I teased to avoid the question
“I did but that was a long time ago” He seriously said. I remained silent and look at him with curious eyes which made him spill the tea
“I got lost in the city and ended up in a play park where there are a lot of children playing”
“I tried talking to them but they started bullying me for being a demon. They even gang up on me and beat me up. Then she arrived with a battalion of girls with her. She lends me her hand and help me stand up”
“At that moment I feel madly in love with her” Vermillion said then a bunch of girls interrupted him by rubbing his back
“Can’t you see I am talking to someone?” Vermillion said as if he is flirting
“Drop by our table later okay” the ladies said then they leave
“Sorry about that” Vermillion apologize
“Hayz what a ladies man you are” I teased as I slap my forehead
He just pouts at me then said
“It’s not my fault that I am popular”
“Now about Skylia please do continue”
“You stop at the part that you are madly in love with her. I want to know what made you fall out of love for her” I said
“Dude I fell out of love because I caught her doing indecent things with my friends” Vermillion stressed the word friends
“What the f**k!” I reacted
“See! If I were you I’ll find someone that is worth your while not a b***h that is just going to waste your time”
“There are plenty of fish in the sea and if you are lucky you can even catch a bunch if you know what I mean” Vermillion teased
“Nah! One is enough” I said
“LOL dude, I prefer the more the merrier” he said then laughs
After eating, Vermillion stood up and pulled me towards the huge crowd and started introducing me. It goes on for several minutes until we meet the ladies from earlier.
“Hello ladies so where’s your table” Vermillion said
The ladies immediately attached themselves to us and brought us to their table. It was filled with different liquors and food. I don’t know why but I become stiff all of a sudden. The ladies forced me to sit down and sit beside me and they were too close making it cram and uncomfortable. Vermillion has this huge teasing smile on his face, looks like he is enjoying all of this
“So Ramon, where are you from? A vampire asks then she places her head on my shoulder.
I felt goosebumps. I hope she didn’t sense that. I take a gulp then said
“I am actually from the rurals. I am no city folk” I embarrassedly said
“Huh? So you’re saying you didn’t graduate from Folore Academy?”
“How in the world did you pass the entrance exam? Are you a descendant of the God of Wisdom or something?” She said
The other ladies all look at me from head to foot. I feel weirded out so I pretend that I need to pee. Vermillion points out where the toilet is and I take my leave
“WTF Vermillion I am going to kill you once we get home” a thought inside my head
I rinse my face to freshen up a bit and look at my face in the mirror for about several minutes
“Who am I?” A question I ask myself
