After a long week I finally checked out the hospital. I took a deep breath and I felt divine. Someone then approached me
"Sir Ms. Paterson is waiting" the staff said
We opened the door for me and I sat right next to Elena
"Your candidacy for presidency was terminated" Elena informed
"But why?" I was upset
"They thought it will took you a long time to recover" Elena said
"Can I still asked for reconsideration" I asked
"Go, your classmates and supporters are counting on you. Posters, flyers and banners are all around the campus" she informed
"Supporters? But how I didn't do anything" I was clueless
"Katarina and the rest of the student council together with your classmates organized everything and looks like they gathered a huge number of supporters" she then showed me a video of my campaign
"What are we waiting for I have an election to win" I said
The driver stepped on the gas and we immediately arrived at the main building and we requested a reconsideration and it was granted. I borrowed Elena's phone and posted the great news
The driver then dropped me off at the boarding house. Tons of people are waiting outside. The moment I stepped out of the car they started cheering. Then the twins hugged me
"Don't ever do that again"
"Yeah you got us all worried" they said
I waved my hand as I walked past my supporters. I immediately head straight to my room. I open the door and I smell something great that looks like someone is cooking.
I went to check who it is and it was my personal staff
"What are you cooking? It smells great?" I asked
"Just a simple stew. Why not sat down on the dining table lunch is almost ready" she said
I went to the dining area and sat down. After awhile she serves me my lunch
"Join me I insist" I said
She grabs a plate and dig in
"This is pretty delicious you gotta tell me your recipe" I complemented
She just smiled. Then some knocked, my staff immediately opened the door
"Sir he says he is Vermilion" my staff informed
"What does he want with me?" I asked myself
"Let him in" I ordered
He went to the dining area
"Have a seat and join me" I offered
He sat down and looked me in the eyes with an intimidating glare.
"I thought you back out from the election but I am glad that you are able to catch up" Vermilion said
"Skip the sweet talk and just say what is your purpose" I said
"I don't want anything at all I just want to have a closer look of my prey that's all" he seems intimidating
"I see, but a prey knows how to out smart its predator. Better not be too full of yourself" I fight back
"Well then my the best man wins" he said then stood up
"Even without doing my best I can still won the election" I baited
"How about a little wager" he said
"What do you have in mind?" He grabbed the bait
"If I won I want you to drop your ranking" he proposed
"If I won I want you to call off your wedding" I said
"Fine with me I already got what I want from her" he said
"And what is that?" I said
He turns his back and walks away
"Come" he moves his head as a sign to follow him
I stood up and immediately followed him outside. He then opens Skylia's door and enters. I then heard someone crying. The sound is coming from the bedroom. I immediately entered the room and I saw Skylia crying in the corner. Her whole body is covered with a blanket. I approached her
"Hi Sky it's me" I said
She looked at me then immediately hugged me. She started crying on my shoulder. I hugged her tight then I felt her skin. It seems she isn't wearing any clothes on. Then I saw a stain in the blanket covering her body. I touched it and it was blood
"What have you done to her!" I shouted
"What else, we are engaged after all" Vermilion said with a smile on his face
"You fiend!" I shouted as I rushed towards him
I tried punching his face but he evades it. He punched me in the gut. I dropped on my knees
"You can take her now, I don't need her anymore. About the wedding I will ask my clan to call it off" he said then walks away
"Ramon!" Skylia said as she crawls towards me
She hugs me tight so I hugged her as well
"It's okay now he will no longer violate you"
"Now put some clothes on I feel weird touching your skin like times" I said
Somehow those words cheer her up
I stood up and exited her room. I sat on her couch and waited for her. Moments after she came out of her room all freshened up. She sat right next to me wrapped around my arm and lie her head on my shoulder
"Thanks for everything Ramon but know you know what happened between Vermilion and I, I am sure you don't like me anymore"
"Who wants a maiden you isn't a virgin" she said then she starts crying
"I still love you Skylia even if your a virgin or not"
"I didn't love you because you're a virgin. I love you because it's you. You're charming, nice, intelligent and most of all kind hearted"
"Now let me see that radiant smile" I said then I started tickling her
She started laughing but I still sense something is wrong with her
"Skylia is there something bothering you?" I asked
"Ramon I have something to tell you"
"My clan are the ones that suggested the whole marriage thing. My Dad didn't produced a male offspring and my Mom cannot bear another child"
"No one will replace dad in his place so our clan will soon fall" she said
"Why not replace him?" I asked even she isn't done talking yet
"I can't, women aren't allowed to take the throne that's why my clan decided to form an alliance between Vermilion's clan which is one of the most established clans"
"They decided that their heir Vermilion will marry me so we both don't have a choice" she said
"I don't care about their agreement what Vermilion isn't right we should report it to the authorities" I said
"Don't do that, it will only strike a war between our clans and I don't want that to happen"
"Our clan isn't as well established as theirs so we don't stand a chance at winning" she said
Then something starts ringing.
"Wait someone's calling me" Skylia said as she heads to her bedroom
"What!" Skylia shouted
I rushed to her bedroom and I saw Skylia dropped her phone. I picked it up and I saw a video playing. It was Skylia s*x video. I immediately went outside and started banging Vermilion's door but no one answered. I pry open the door and I saw him sitting in his couch
"Why do you have to do such a thing!" I shouted
"What did I do?" Vermilion acting innocent
"Delete the video or else" I threatened
"Or else what!" He seems picking up a fight
"Or I'll kill you" I said
"I like to see you try" he said
Then I had this feeling something bad happened to Skylia. I immediately went back to her room. I started searching for her and I saw a knife on the floor and she is covered with blood. She has a laceration
I grabbed a piece of clothing and tied it tight to lessen the blood flowing out then I carried her up and immediately went to the infirmary. After several minutes an ambulance arrived and brought her to the hospital
I just remembered the hospital's name and I rushed back to my room. I borrowed my staff's phone and call Elena
"I need the car now" I ordered then I hang up
I went downstairs and waited for the car as soon as it arrived. I immediately entered and we went on our way to the hospital.
"Where is the young lady with a laceration in her left hand" I asked the receptionist
"At the emergency room left side fourth room" she said
I immediately went but I couldn't enter the room. I sat down on the bench and waited for any news
"Ramon, Ramon" someone said as she pats me to wake up
I slowly opened my eyes. I wiped my eyes and I saw Celestina sitting besides me. I quickly sat properly
"Celestina about your daughter, she is in bad shape I am sorry" I said
"Tell me what provoked my daughter in doing such a thing?" Celestina asked
"Vermilion took advantage of her and recorded it on video then post it on social media" I informed
Celestina started crying. I pat her back to calm her down
