Your Fired!

980 Words
The dentist was with a different patient and heard the commotion. “Excuse me while I take care of an ongoing issue I’m having.” He hurried to where Cheryl was sitting on her stool, still holding the water pick in her hand, looking at him. “I I am sorry Dr. Joseph, I’m not sure what happened.” She looked frightened. “I told you last time a patient ran out because of your clumsiness, next time your fired.” Shaking his head, “seriously Cheryl, how can you be so clumsy? I’m sorry, but you are officially unemployed as of now. Grab your stuff and leave. I can’t keep losing patients because of you.” Still shaking his head, he turned to go back into the room with his patient. Cheryl sat there, delicately putting the picture down. Tears started to swell up in her big eyes, the dark lashes were getting wet as the tears started to drop. She stood up to get her purse, and as she grabbed her purse, she saw the donuts on the break table. Her heart shattered, not knowing how to pay her bills. Then she started to get mad, she would walk in the dark to get the damn donuts for him and that is how he repaid her. She might be a little clumsy, but she was always there. Still looking at the box of donuts, she grabbed her favorite one. Putting it in her mouth to hold, she grabbed the box with both hands and flipped it up and over, shoving it on top of the table. Smashing every single donut in that box on the table. “f**k you Dr. Joseph.” She walked out of the office eating her fluffy donut. There are plenty of jobs so she will find another one. Aaron watched Chadwick leave, noticing the door to the dentist's office opened, he turned his face quickly towards it. That gorgeous blonde is leaving. Squinting his eyes to get a better look. “She’s eating a donut and is she also crying?” baffled, he stepped back out of her sight and into the darkness to watch her. She started to pick up her step and she started to cry harder. Aaron wanted to see what was wrong with her. Should he try to talk to her? He didn’t really have much time left before the sun started to come out. Following her, he was curious where she was going. Why did she leave the office? Did someone hurt her? I swear if someone had hurt her, I'd drain him dry and let the shadow seekers have his f*****g body. Thoughts kept flowing through his mind. Cheryl stopped, looking around the area. She had that feeling again of being watched. She senses me, maybe I should try to talk to her. Okay, let’s give this a try. Aaron was nervous, he never gets nervous when he stalks a beautiful woman, but maybe it’s because he knows she isn’t going to live long enough. This one, he wants to get to know her before he kills her. Just curious, he tells himself. Taking a deep breath, he walks out of the darkness onto the illuminated sidewalk where she is standing. “Hello, my dear, I saw you crying and was wondering if you were, okay?” Smiling with his brilliant white teeth, holding back his fangs. Cheryl jumped when someone behind her said Hello. She looked behind her scared. “Oh, hello. I’m fine thanks for asking.” Giving him a fake smile, she turned back around and started to pick up her pace. “Don’t be scared, I just saw you crying and was hoping you were okay, that’s all.” He picked up his pace just enough to keep up but kept his distance so she wouldn’t take off running. She stopped, tilted her head back , turned her body around to face Aaron. “Look, I said I’m fine, don’t follow me because you’re scaring me sir.” She went to turn back around so she could start running and her heel to her shoe got caught in between the bricks on the sidewalk. Her arms raised in the air; her body started to go towards the brick walkway, but she never hit the bricks. That handsome man caught her before she fell. She looked up into his dark chocolate eyes, “Thank you sir.” Aaron lifted her back into a standing position, but he could tell she was still scared. Yeah, she wanted to run. As soon as she was standing again, she tried to push him away and take off running, but he didn’t budge. Instead, he gripped her tighter. She turned to look into his deep chocolate eyes again, wanting to tell him to let her go but he didn’t want to leave her just yet. “Look into my eyes beautiful.” Aaron decided to use mind compulsion. Vampires are very good at it; not to harm her but to alleviate her fear and maybe spark a conversation. he can make her forget all about this situation or he can make her talk to him and then not remember if he chooses. So, he decided to make her talk since she feared him. She stood there looking into his eyes, not moving, frozen. “What is your name beautiful,” Aaron asked her. “Cheryl.” “Why are you crying Cheryl?” “I was just fired from my job.” Looking at her baffled, what did she do to get fired? Hell, she took them a box of donuts. They should be grateful to her for not firing her. “Why were you fired Cheryl? “I’m too clumsy, always clumsy, Dr. Joseph fired me.” Still standing completely, still looking into those bottomless chocolate eyes.
