Callum's POV.
She had just outrightly rejected me and even the proposal I made. She tried to sound nice about it but that was exactly how it sounded. I didn't yet know what to do or who to bring to the council as my mate, yes this one move I have made, is met by utter rejection and confusion.
"Callum! Look at me." Her voice snapped me out of my thoughts. My eyes were done and heavy. I couldn't stare at her face. She was trying to console me and tell me stuff that could make me a little happy but I knew she was just trying to console me.
Raising my head slightly trying to look at her, my face depicted my shame and fear. She held my face in her hands and that sent chills to my body.
