Alien?

Serenity Pov I got home and everyone was already home. Janet was screaming at Chris and Derek. The rest of the kids and Selene were sitting on the stairs eavesdropping. "Chris, how could you fight with some kid at school," Janet said. "No matter what he was saying, you know better." "Mom, come on, he was asking for it," Chris complained back. "No, No, you know what could happen if you exert yourself," Janet said softly. "I'm fine, Derek is fine, and-," Chris looked to the floor, and then I realized he was worried about me. I ran off and he didn't know if I was fine. "Chris, please, no more fighting," Janet pleaded with her son. "I want you, no all of you to be safe and I can't be worried about you while I am at work." "Okay, I'm sorry mom," he said sadly. "It's okay, I just wish things were better and I am trying my hardest, I am," Janet was about to cry but Jesse and Olivia ran to her and hugged her. "I think everything is pretty good," Olivia told Janet. "Our family is good." "Yeah, it is," Jesse added. The rest of the group came over and they all hugged each other. Selene noticed me standing by the front door and came to me. "Are you okay?" she asked me. "I am now," I told her. "Our grandfather says hi." "Wow, you saw Alexander," she smiled. "Your lucky, I want a spirit power now so I can see him too." I hugged her and kissed her forehead. "We're going to be okay," I told her. "I know, as long as I have you I know you will always make sure we are okay," Selene kissed my cheek. "Hey," Chris said as he walked into the foyer. "Hey," I said back nervously. "You okay?" I simply nodded and quickly looked away. I know he was trying to look into my eyes and see if they were still pitch black. They luckily went back to my not so subtle red eyes. "We need to talk?" Chris insisted. "Not now," I said softly. "Please," his pleading eyes made my heart ache. "Fine, but I think it's time we told them," I said. "What? Really," I know Chris was shocked but I had to tell his family the truth. I didn't want to keep this from them any longer. It kind of felt like I was lying to them. "Go upstairs to your room, I'll be right up." I headed upstairs and waited for Chris. A few moments later, Chris came in with Selene and the rest of the kids. "Don't you think Janet should be here too," I told him. "No, not yet," he said. "She has enough on her plate at the moment." "Who's fault is that," Max said. "Why are we in here?" Jesse asked. "Serenity wants to tell us something," Chris said to them. "Serenity," Selene said with so much concern in her voice. "Actually, I have to show you something," I said. I extended my hand out and began to create an ice ball. "What in the world," Max gasped. I then created a fireball. "Holy s**t," Derek cursed. "OH! Derek, you said a bad word," Olivia pointed out. "Olivia, Serenity is doing magic, stop worrying about bad words and look at her," Jesse said. "Guys, Selene and I are not from around here," I said to them. "We are actually from a planet called Callisto and we come from the terra galaxy all the way on the other side of the universe. "Huh?" Max said. "So your an alien," Jesse grinned. "What's an alien," Selene questioned. "You are," Jesse said. "Alien?" Selene wondered. "You guys look normal though, your not green or have big heads," Jesse began to ramble. "Shut up, kid," Derek said. "Do you change colors or peel your skin off and reveal you're true form," Jesse said excitedly. "Peel off our skin," Selene repeated. "No, we look like you but we have spirit powers and can live longer because of them," I explained. "Woah, that's kind of cool," Jesse smiled. "So what powers do you have Selene." "I don't have a spirit," she said casually. "You can either be born with an air, fire, or water spirit but I don't have any of them. Serenity has all three but that's only because she is going to be the next Phoenix King." "Phoenix King?" Jesse questioned. "Yeah, our mother is the current Phoenix King," Selene said. "Wait, so your mother is a KING," Max said. "That is badass." "So what does that mean?" Chris said. "Being a Phoenix King?" "It means I will be the KING of our entire galaxy and I will gain the Phoenix Spirit until I pass it down to my child," I told them. "Cool, so do you turn into a Phoenix," Jesse asked curiously. "I can but I won't stay like that," I told him. "The Phoenix Spirit just becomes a part of your soul." "So, your mother is the king now and she will pass down her throne to you, someday?" Max asked. "Yeah," I said softly. I didn't want to get into details because it was something I didn't want to think about right now. "Wow, I should be freaked out but this is so cool," Max said. "When or how are you guys going to get back home?" Selene and I both looked at each other. "We don't know how or when but I do know our parents are looking for us and when they find us we can go back home," I said confidently. "Oh, okay," Max said softly. "How did you guys get here." I began to tell her about our ship crashing on that field we went to when we were looking for Selene. They all looked worried and concerned for us but I reassured them we were okay and would be as soon as our parents found us. Chris looked away and was the first one to leave the room.
